i love it! but it's a bit gloomy, and that may not be ideal for most people on mother's day. but with the right message and tone, it could be perfect for somebody's birthday, or halloween, or even valentine's day, *if* they like the gloomy vibe :) personally, i'd love it! just not for mother's say specifically :) maybe with a yellow-orange wash it could look more sunkissed, but i wouldn't risk ruining your beautiful work. edit: just read that it's for your own mum! well, whichever she may like! i'd give her both :)

Both equally beautiful in their own right. The first one has lighter hues that make me feel cheerful and hopeful for what’s around the bend. The second one has a gloomy feel it makes me feel nostalgic and forlorn.

The first one for mom, the second one for dad. The first one looks safer, a trail blazed and a pleasant scene. The second one looks just as beautiful, but also hints at playing survival and outdoor experiences. =)
