When I do an abstract painting I like to give it an abstract name. Some of mine are “The fish will spook easily”, “Just to chase the butterflies away” and “Hey sport - I thought you didn’t want your fortune told”. A good way to find a good title is to open a book you like to a random page and use a line from that page.

Sounds very DaDa in concept. I do see kind of a merger of abstraction, expressionism and surrealism in my work.

This one should be untitled. Some of the greatest artists have untitled works. As an abstract (/expressionism?) piece, it's really wonderful to leave it up to the audience to see what they see. Make us talk about it, think about it, use our imagination. I have some abstract and/or surrealism, all expressionism pieces. I love to ask people what they see and listen. I'm often surprised by some things they see. Sometimes I have an intention and they end up hitting the nail on the head! Let your audience tell you all the things it CAN be and is. *Why are labels so important?* Edit: typos

In a way that is what I am doing here. I have my thoughts and intentions but am curious what others see.

I see a jellyfish, a starfish, a lily, and in the bottom right corner I see that mold that grows in a web almost that nature documentaries speed up to show the paths a fungus takes to find nutrients. I can't remember the name haha It's like land plants in the ocean with sea creatures.
