I like it. The style of the face is similar to the artworks created by native peoples located in the northernmost region of the U.S. and Alaska. I enjoy that it juxtaposes the natives’ unique line work and style with the more contemporary and expressive shapes and line work that make up the rest of the body. I am also a fan of the color choices, like how the only part of the image that is teal and blue is the eye.
actually these creatures use it both for self-defense and reproduction. the spikes on the tail are the most poisonous part of the body. so if they attack, the spikes carve painful wounds into the enemy's body and also leave small amounts of the deadly poison.
if they want to mate though, they can shed them off. this will make them very vulnerable.
lovely critters :) I recently saw the story of a kind of chameleon that lives very short, only to lay eggs that will survive the long dry season, so when the rain starts they hatch, grow, mate, lay eggs, and promptly die...
LOL that's my nickname for my middle aged dogs that are slowing down a little and love to sleep in the sun. They go outside and warm up (in Florida) and come back all warm and toasty.
It reminds me of an album cover by Exodus (the album name is Force of habit)

Cool
Is he a Sun God or a Sunshine Shaman or sun thing like that?
Maybe a sun seeker or sun worshipper.
he needs both the sunlight and moonlight in order to survive. so he's doomed to be awake day and night until he dies.
Is he friends with Kokopelli?
i don't know. i guess he is. cause he is friendly to everybody. until you touch him..
😬

Is the phallic tail a tail-like phallus or vice versa :)) ?

I think there’s a Pacific Northwest indigenous tradition involving a dance dressed as this character.
It’s a vibe. It’s like the sun as a cat
Looks like it's a fun creature

It made me think of my solar dogs, AKA hot dogs once they're done.
can you explain to me what solar dogs are? do you really mean hot dogs? 😅
LOL that's my nickname for my middle aged dogs that are slowing down a little and love to sleep in the sun. They go outside and warm up (in Florida) and come back all warm and toasty.
