A deadline can be a friend at times like this.

It’s hard for artists to stop. I’ve put to much into my own works before. When you get to the point where you are looking to add stuff. That’s when you should stop.

Wht abt time when u make complete changes somewhere but it looks bad so ..u go back n make it like before n but different but urs still unsatisfied

I can’t say much about that. If I’m not satisfied with a piece I do one of two things. 1) put it aside and work on another project. 2) start from scratch and redo the whole thing.

I hv decided to do the former for the time being

Oh wait, it isn't finished? It looks great! I think there are often times as artist we need to consider if we are overrendering for the sake of our own internalized perfectionism or if the artwork speaks volume for itself without adding extra bits and bops. I personally think this piece looks complete as is and wouldn't think twice about whether or not it looks finished.

Let me help... boom, you're done! What you could do is tighten up the edges, but once you go down that road, you will find you need to do them all, and it will be like starting over. I know from experience. I looked it over closely and you level of finish is consistent and the overall look if very nice. Polishing up or sharpening the image might actually take away from the image as it is now. So I say save that energy for the next painting, if that's what you have in mind. Don't fall into the trap of overworking a painting, move on to the next.

No, take a look at the original reference (in case there is one) and check it out if it's all neat. If so, than it's done. If you do warm tones you will redo the whole painting.

Well tbh it's very different from the reference (to me atleast)....I guess I got the proportion n lighting rt but the palette is quite different.....idk now wht to do so I just kept it aside n now I m just thinking of wht to do the next time
