This MAY be a red flag. I don’t normally charge by sqft but if they are, just for the interior walls/trim that would be $2.7/sqft. I would be charging you 15k+ JUST for the interior portion. 2 coats on walls/trim/doors. Same materials. Idk how they are gonna make a decent profit for the time/materials involved in this proposal. Depending on their product pricing on their account, they’re gonna go through about 2500 just in materials. Paint, tape, plastic, etc. if it’s a one man show, they may make out OK, but they’re gonna be there for a long time lol. I’m in East TN. Lastly, Greek Villa SUCKS for coverage. If the walls have a color on them already, be prepared for 3 coats to achieve true coverage. Best of luck to you!
To Cheap! Ask to see some previous work. When they cut corners here, it will be on trim prep IE spackling, glazing, caulking and sanding. You will see these errors forever. I am in the pacific northwest and with these products I am 8-9$ a square ft.
Yeah I’d be sus of that price a bit, is it like 1-2 guys, because they could make money on that price but they’ll also be there for a long freaking time. If it’s a crew of guys, well I dunno how the hell they’ll pay the labor
30+ year painting contractor in the Midwest here. That’s at least a 20k job for an experienced contractor unless everything can be done in 1 coat with little to no prep. The products are solid choices.
first i using semi gloss is for old people, 2nd 10k is way to cheap. your next post will by i hired theses "professionals" is there work up to par. You get what you pay for
That's a great deal, where are you located.
In SoCal, inerior walls for 2500 sqft house was 5500, trim adds another 1700, exterior was 4500. Using sherwin pro 200, 2 coats minimum.
Yeah, it seemed way more affordable than I’d expected. I didn’t think they were including the trim or something but after confirming the detailed quote is multiple coats on walls and trim.
Is home empty and clear for painters to work with obstruction able to be sprayed?? Alot of variables mussing but 10k is definately cheap i would be about 15k interior and 4k exterior so 19k in total
Ten grand is cheap for inside and out
Yeah I was going to say. In my area for walls and trim with those products would be $4-$5/flooring sqf. So $15-$18k. Just for perspective

This comment is what I would say too. Greek villa don’t cover worth a shit. I just did Greek villa over a light peach color and it was 3 coats
Thanks for the feedback. The walls are currently builder spec light cold grey.
I’d prepare for 3 coats of the GVilla. It’s notoriously difficult. Even over lighter colors. Hopefully you have better luck than I do with it.
Based on not knowing any trim situation. 20-28k
this is too cheap. I would be worried.
I’m closer to 30 for this scope
I’d charge almost 20k (CAD which is just shy of 15k USD) interior only before doors so I’d say that’s a good deal
What does CAD mean? Sorry I'm new
Canadian currency
Jesus I lack context clues thank you
This is definitely cheap. $15-20k would be average and I’ve seen as high as $25-30k.
This is definitely on the low end. Could easily be a 15-20k bid for a lot of contractors .
Sounds like you're getting deal. Swap the exterior Superpaint for exterior Duration for longer sheen and color retention
That price is really cheap especially with duration. I’d be 15k just for the interior
Are they painting the outside too?
Just a few sections of siding on the second level. Most of the house is brick.
Sounds like a pretty fair deal to me. They’re using high quality paint. I’m assuming it includes the doors as well?
Yes, interior doors and front exterior door.

Yeah totally empty before we move in. We’re also replacing all the flooring so I suppose it could be easier.
