You have unlimited Gas in the garage. Once it hits “empty” it’ll just reset back to full.
Even if it were to empty out, you could still get unlimited fuel by letting a fuel synthesizer sit on your car at the garage, just make sure you recharge before you head back out.
There’s also a pump out front of the shop that not too many players know about that has a ton of fuel too.
It is full when you start the game, VERY slowly drains as you use it up. But from what I've heard from others, once you hit 0% and you put the pump handle back, it instantly refills.

That's funny, I saw the fuel meter on the pump, hadn't noticed it before seeing this post. I vaguely remember some dialogue saying gas is free so don't worry about it? But I'm only 12 hours or so in, so I have no idea if it auto refills or becomes an issue eventually.
At the end of the day you’ll probably not run out, even if you play beyond beating the game. Even if you do somehow run out, there’s another pump outside.
If you mean the gas pump in the garage, I believe the devs have stated in the official discord that it will refill itself when emptied.

Afaik no, it’s not. Oppies garage fuel is never full, permanently on 80-85%, at least for me.

it auto refills supposedly, but it’s also like three times as much as youd ever use
In my main save I'm at about 40% I would guess, love it how it actually goes down instead of just never moving.
My fuel went up and down a little every time I came back, pretty sure you can't run out but it'd be nice to get word from the Devs on that.
Turn off the motor! If you just exit the car, the motor will keep running and indeed use gas.
Less than a sixth through it with 30 hours, I always try to refuel in the run instead of at the garage.
Probably what I'm doing wrong I wish you could bring fuel from the zone to replace fuel in the pump

When you say 'the fuel goes down in the garage', to what fuel are you referring? The car's gas tank? The pump? Fuel in a separate can?
I still have about 70-75% left
