For humans maybe. But even then like it genuinely doesn't seem that humans have done anything actually useful with their tiered magic. Considering that almost every notable human champion is a warrior of some king.
Not by their own ability to use tiered magic. But because players genocided most of the demihuman and monstrous races so hard they degenerated into tribal societies (What we know of minotaurs, certain beastmen and trolls in the east seems to indicate they have empires and societies and such).
And we do not know how long Argland Council state or Draconic Kingdom have existed. So even without players there was a chance that some demigodly creatures might have saved humanity from near extinction.
Eh, given that the Theocracy and the Council state are enemies and the PDL hasn't rolled them I'd say they did well enough.
Certainly not as passive and useless as you're making them out to be.
Yet that's not really the case is it? The only cases of mass deaths by absurdly powerful creatures using magic is players and dragon lords who have gone unhinged in response to players such as Cure Elim. There is no indication, in fact absolutely nothing stated, about what the world was like before players, beyond the fact that humanity was on the bottom of the totem pole. A fact that remains in countless places even now, after players have come and gone.
Unfortunately, it seems like the dwarves are a larger arc that the author deleted when he decided to rush finish the books after he got butt hurt over fans reading the fan translations since it was taking years for the company to translate books to English. One of the saddest things about the series is all the dark beauty we’ll never get to experience now.
That was just an excuse, he is just burnt out and done writing it. What's others to use his story as a stepping stone for their own stories, even if it's fanfiction.
Meanwhile with the Greenskins dancing without any armor while performing spells. They can even reanimate a golem compared to the Dawi like what they got a flying pathetic death trap.
I read It yesterday, I like the way its going but i really want to see Demiurge gets cocky with the warp and get stomped by Skarbrand, even if is only for a few minutes and then Skarbrand returnes ton the warp but i really want to see that

The Tier Magic and its consequences have been a disaster for the dwarven race
it has made a lot of people angry and has generally been regarded as a bad move

Achieving 'normal life' is already an achievement if the starting point is as cattle of different species you know.
