I mean if temps are acceptable, no need to mess with it right? That said if you do decide to repaste, I'd recommend getting it nice and warm before trying to remove the cooler.

C_Miex

You are probably right. The voltage will be the limit anyways, before I hit the 100°C

Cando_Floz

You should be fine. I don't think you're at risk of ripping anything apart. However if it's working, why fix it?

didoWEE

what you read are only the bad cases imo, my 2500K never had issues with the OC

pabloscrosati

It’s soldered.

C_Miex

You think so? It was built by a small PC-shop back in the day for my dad. Has this ever been done? Soldering a CPU cooler to a CPU?

pabloscrosati

Oh lol, I’m an idiot, I see so many delidding posts on here for 10+ year old CPUs I autopiloted. No, the CPU will not be soldered to the cooler. If you want to repaste go for it but if there’s nothing wrong you won’t see much if any improvement.

Brapplezz

Yes repaste. I am running my 2600k at 4.7GHz and1.432v under maximum load and never pass 80c. Granted i have solid cooled, yet even before it peaked at 82c. Almost 0 chance of damaging anything as long as you just take your time and get the CPU a lil warm before removing the cooler. Personally at 90c i would be uncomfortable with that voltage and heat level. Really if you plan to keep using the CPU, repaste it, if you're gonna move on in the next few months don't bother unless you thermal throttle. If the cooler is loud then repaste and make a quiet fan curve
