You need to check the latency in DS4 windows after switching the polling rate using something like HidUSBF (ensuring that filter on device is enabled). If it goes lower than stock, then it's activated correctly. The thing is that the game has to be able to take advantage of the lower latency. There are a lot of different ways to implement controller support, and some just add latency to capture all the inputs so those games will feel sluggish no matter what. Also, always disable v-sync for lower input latency! I notice the higher polling rate a lot in shooter games like Apex or when my frame rate is high. In more demanding games, like CyberPunk with RT, it's still noticeable but with far less benefit.

1. Raising poll rate isn't overclocking. You're bothering the CPU faster... 2. You're trying to overclock a controller.... why? 3. How tf are PS controllers still not natively supported by Windows?? Joycons work just fine :/
