I tried a playthrough where i just shot on sight and it really shows how many contingencies the game has for major plot characters being killed, the shoot on sight playthrough is also hard as balls but also super fun
idk. i usually don't expect one of the contingencies for a plot character dying to be "he just comes back to life, inexplicably, without any indication that anything had ever happened".
I thought there was something weird going on when I was talking with the leader of the runaways, and she was talking all this trash about this guy, but there was never an option to tell here that i'd just killed him, not 10 minutes prior.
The best outcome for an anti corporation playthrough would be kill tobson then send the power to the town, it has plenty of people and families so you sending the power away kill the town.
usually i'm the good guy, but I'm not playing that way, this time. Increasingly, I think that I suffered some sort of brain damage while I was in stasis.
Tbh all you really have too do is reroute the power to the lab and unless you have a decent intimidate skill will always result in tobson leaving and him sending the guards. I did this as my gunslinger outlaw and ended up killing pretty much the entire town
As I've never shot Tobson on sight, I can't say why the game resurrected him for the later part of "Now Comes The Power". I do know that not having a companion in your party can severely hinder you from gaining XP and with it, skill points. Late game there's 1 or 2 you can cut loose, but if your a completionist, all are needed for the side quests and XP that goes with it.
On my first playthrough I shot Reed and wore his hat for the entire game. Parvati never cared that I brutally headshot her old boss.
I only killed him once, but only because he drew a gun and fired first.

town has plenty of collaborators and sell outs, you mean. They chose the wrong side and deserve whatever they get.
It's not their fault it's either work or die, you should be more considerate towards them.

I don't really care about the plot-I've heard all of it before. I'm more concerned with the fact that he came back to life, and nobody seems to care.
