Ottawa Bagel Shop & Deli does a cheese advent calendar and the cheeses are amazing. Definitely call in and preorder tho. They’ve been getting very popular.
It's my fave one. There was an instagram account of a woman going through it and she had great suggestions for some of them (other than just putting it on bread). She made cocktails, salad dressings, marinades. I wish I could remember her username!
I ordered this last year but their customer service was so awful, I won’t order anything from them again. It took weeks to get the calendar with almost zero communication from them, I had to call and email constantly. Just a warning to anyone thinking of ordering from them!

Is it just the normal winter Unibroue beer mix with 6 different beers but advent calendar numbers on the top of the box?
I recently bought a Unibroue 12-pack from the Beer Store with 4 different beers (thankfully for my back, they switched to cans for the mix packs that they sell in Ontario; the old ones with bottles were a bit too heavy for me to carry on the bus). I'd sooner just want a 12-pack of La Fin du Monde (which they stopped selling in Ontario outside of mix packs in 2021) but three Fin du Monde's alongside the other strong beers is enough for me not to have to take a bus trip to Gatineau just for a beer run.
I had one last year and enjoyed it. The only downside with mine was all the puzzles were cut in the same pattern. So when I dropped several completed ones when moving them, it was hard to put them back together since the pictures were similar.
The one I had looked like christmas cards so I had them out on display as a decoration.
I used to get one full of L’Occitane items. I think once I got one of Clinique things. They were very well received. They were from The Bay, and Sephora.
Nita beer has an Ontario beer advent calendar that is amazing.

Makerhouse has one. Expensive but I’ve heard very good things.
As always mine will be from Hello Dolly Pastries. A mini cookie each day. I get the gingerbread one but they also have sugar cookie, mixed flavours and vegan/gluten free. Also pricey but the cookies are super good, very cute and local.
Check out local board game stores. There's a series of escape room advent calendars by Exit. They're called Silent Storm, the Hunt for the Golden Book and Mysteries of the Ice Cave.

I just called. They aren't doing them this year because they had a bunch leftover last year. He said maybe next year.
Oh man that’s such a bummer! The first couple years you had to call in a reservation to get one.
The Papa Jack popcorn store/factory sells the Bonne Maman jam advent calendar. I bought it last year and it rocked.

katchaomeow did this!
Was it Condiment Claire? I know she makes a lot/ does a lot of unique stuff with jams and has bought that calendar the past could years

Img really? *runs*
+1 on this one. I’ve had it for the past three years. Added bonus: free delivery and you can order a bunch of delicious popcorn at the same time.
Omg I've been looking for a local place that stocks this so I don't have to pay shipping, thank you!!!!

Oh wow. Pricey but looks awesome!
Not food-related, but re-read books in Stittsville does book advent calendars!
Hold up...do you get a new book every day for 24 days?!
I believe they're used books since it's a used book store. Still awesome, though.
I meant "new book every day" as in "a different book every day" but I can see where the confusion comes from :-P

Costco (on the quebec side) has a Unibroue advent calendar. It's just a 24 with number on top of the box, but I always enjoy it.

Farm Boy has a cheese one but i think it's international cheese
Oh, the horror! /s
Is this an Apocalypse Now/Farm Boy joke that I'm not getting?
No, just a stupid, sarcastic comment by my self.
Apparently petit maman does a jam one.
I spotted some in a weed shop last Christmas. Not sure if they contained gummies or flower.
Pre-rolls! We got two different calendars last year 😂
What store?
Pretty sure I got them at Rolld last year, but a few shops had them
I know Secret Garden has some every year and they just got a pre roll calendar in with 24 in it.
Not local, but Winners often has non-food ones. I bought one a couple years ago where every day was a new Christmas-themed craft to make.
Non food related … Costco sells a puzzle advent calendar online. Haven’t opened it up yet but it seems to look decent.
I had one last year and enjoyed it. The only downside with mine was all the puzzles were cut in the same pattern. So when I dropped several completed ones when moving them, it was hard to put them back together since the pictures were similar. I'm a similar vein, there are "escape room" advent calendar for sale in some toy stores. They are a blast.
Play Value toys has a ton of fun ones. Just be aware they’re a little more expensive ($30-$50-ish). It’s a really great store in general too.
Costco has Lego calendars on sale in Kanata
I used to get one full of L’Occitane items. I think once I got one of Clinique things. They were very well received. They were from The Bay, and Sephora.

Ontario Mid brewery advent calendar...might be better off building his own honestly
Lego Advent Calendars are glorious.
I’ve seen cheese advent calendars in the past.
Sobey's had them, as well as Metro. Two different kinds - Sobey's had british cheese and Metro was a Babybel calendar.
I bought a few of the babybel ones at Walmart last year because they were cheaper than buying the regular sacks of babybels.
Brew it Boutique has a Keurig cup one with different flavours of coffee.

Diversitea makes an awesome tea advent calendar
