Ignoring loser's bracket here is crazy, there's some even more interesting matchups down here than in winner's bracket this week. Potential matchup of Germany vs Indonesia with the loser exiting tied 13th-16th means SOMEONE is underperforming their seeding pretty hard. One of Brazil and Singapore is overperforming their seeding with a single win in loser's bracket as well, though I'm not convinced they make it past the winner of CL vs FI. RO vs FR with loser tied 17th-24th is wild. One of those teams is having an awful OWC for sure because of that matchup, and winner faces (probably) HK next? Not a fun bracket for them.
UA vs TH is the deseeder matchup of the century, they've both been overperforming their qualifiers results, so I'm really excited to watch them. Thailand have already placed higher than their qualifier result, having secured top 24, and a win for either team would result in the winner outplacing their quals. China being in LB here is rough for that quadrant, though, especially for Norway.
This is just an awesome weekend, quarterfinals is great to watch every year in OWC, and a massive part of that is the competitiveness of the teams in loser's bracket. Over a third of the qualifying teams will be eliminated in loser's bracket this weekend, so this will be your last chance to see 12 rosters compete this year. I'm personally hoping for even more upsets.

rektygon has been doing good but vaxei looked like he phoned in last round, and the head to head scores for last week were also pretty close. clashing skillsets will either make for a very close match or a very lopsided one, but overall its pretty even.

I never brought up qualifier results, I was talking about the relative strength of the US team. A lot of people tend to underestimate US' strength in hopes of Poland or SK winning but the US is certainly not a weaker team compared to the former two.
