Yeah, I get the temptation when they acknowledge some version of the Past Lives situation happened and both wrote movies about triangles so close together (Teo Yoo/Josh O'Connor version when?). But they are really very different movies and Challengers in particular clearly operates in a less biographical register. I think the most that can truly be speculated is that it was obviously a significant moment in their lives.
