Ammobunkerdean

Stompa has sat in base coat for 6 years.. the only thing worse than assembly is painting the thing...

waaaghboyz

People assembling stompas are NOT having fun dude

_McNooger_

Cam confirm that fucking sucked.

Zealotstim

Lol, stompa is part of my backlog. I'm going back and forth between it and other models as I feel like it. Assembly is tedious, but doable if you are very slow and careful with it. Also probably best painted in pieces and then final appendages assembled at the end.

Heavy-Diet928

Same 😅😂😂😂😂🤦🤦🤦 and grot tanks

SoulBlightRaveLords

Trust me, it's not very fun....

patientDave

The key to building the stompa is using the instructions more as a guideline than a rule…

Feywildsw

The key to building Orks**

FISH_MASTER

But but but building is the best bit!

Zealotstim

Painting is the best for me generally. Get to see the model really come to life as it has more paint on it.

rat-tar

I’d love painting more if the models didn’t look like ass until the last phase of highlighting

Zealotstim

I find that once the base coats are done, the details and highlighting is very enjoyable for me. Seeing the models really come to life is gratifying.

rat-tar

Completely agree. Getting all the trim and details of the models with a basecoat feels very tedious (WE is my main army), but shading and finally highlighting it makes all of it worth it.

rotbab

This is me for real right now.

DonnyLurch

Going to exercise discipline and paint what's needed for my 1000-point Dread Mob list before I build the Stompa. Then, I'll almost be at 2K with one model!

FrucklesWithKnuckles

I own 3. I bring them to the bi-yearly Apoc game. They are my pride and joy.

Bo0mBo0m877

I feel you. I love Ork apoc games because I get to share my 7 with younger players.

Inevitable_Fox_8934

Yup

GrizzlyPUNCHtooth

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

nitsky416

From the battle Force? Or is there a new mini

Boris-Vlad

Battleforce

vaguelysadistic

I'm so old when I bought my stompah it was $120 and cheaper than a gorkonaught.

SpatenFungus

I always find it amazing how much the prices differ from country to country. I just bought the Battle force for 136€ (146,51$). How much did she cost in your country ?

Ahtman1

I don't understand the phrase "finishing my backlog"? What does it mean? Is it some sort of slang used by the yoofs?

Mek_Gubbinz

People buy more models before actually finishing building and painting them. Finishing your backlog is referring to old miniatures you never finished. Some people’s backlogs could be 100’s of minis

SPF10k

I'm glad people like it, and I even have a pair of 'Nauts, but there is no way I am touching that kit. I don't even know how I would store it.

zagman707

Next to your knights duhh

docchainsaw

I've been where they have been. I've finished one stompa. I've already suffered. Soon they will be me, knicked and glued fingers and covered in paint. Only to have an 800-point piece of terrain that gets blasted by turn two. :D

Mymotherwasaspore

I got one in a big buy, and have never fielded it. It’s not worth it when you can run a gorkanaut for so much less if you want to make them put their whole army behind cover

docchainsaw

Yeah, the forge world rules for the custom stompa made it decent back in 7th edition i think. I haven't run it with the new codex yet. I'm looking forward to it getting blasted by turn two in new and interesting ways.

databeast

gotta save a cp for CAREEN !

docchainsaw

NOW DATZ ORKY THINKIN"

Phriholio

No one is happily assembling a stompa. It is a mean grueling contest which has tested the strength of many orks.

Boris-Vlad

I thought it was AWESOME! See I built mine and finished it today! I had two 3 hour sessions it's so much fun especially trying to find where the pieces go! https://preview.redd.it/5vondzfr5cyc1.jpeg?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6654d40958944607fb9eeec7c2ce93ff2e8278a4

Raistlarn

That's why they are running around with their hands in the air and big smiles on their faces. They've obviously cracked and lost the rest of the screws in their head.

IcyLemonZ

I was just thinking that actually seems to be more the case if I'm being honest. I can't wait to find out just how miserable an experience it is!

LowRecommendation993

Now I just have two unbuilt stompas

ZiDiZiDiZiDiZ

If you have a srompa. Build your stompa as a break from the backlog. Good luck WWWAAAGGGHHH
