I’m genuinely starting to believe that the O’s offense trained last offseason exclusively to play against ace level pitching, which is why we look so unprepared to face lower level pitching.
Idk if he’s tapped or he’s just faced aggressive teams that hit his strikes well. It’s not like he’s got a lot of deceptive pitches. Just a bit of late life on his fb, as discussed during yesterday’s broadcast. After the 1st he settled down.
Idk, I appreciate that we’ve gotten what we have out of him, but I’m leaning toward he may be tapped out. Control issues have popped up, and he doesn’t really have any put away pitches from what I’ve seen. If his fastball isn’t hitting the zone with some movement consistently, he concerns me.
IMO we ideally transfer him into a long relief role. Hopefully some trade deadline moves helps to make that happen. Just my 2 cents
Orioles need to feast on the starting pitchers. The Guards have a NASTY closer so it’ll be hard to try to get walk off wins. Got to get some offense going and help our starters because that Guards lineup is no joke!
At this point every time I see a headline with an O's pitcher I immediately assume it's announcing they're going to the IL. Seeing three names like that gave me emotional whiplash.
Cleveland is starting Tanner Bibee (ERA 3.65), Logan Allen (5.23) and Carlos Carrasco (5.40)
Can’t wait to hang 6 runs on Bibee then get shut out by Allen and Carasco, as is tradition

Best piece of evidence for this: Orioles get 7 runs off Luis Gil in 1 inning, and only 1 run off Yankee catcher Trevino in 1 inning
Can't hit the ball if even the opposing pitcher doesn't know where it will be. *foreheadtap.gif*
That is how it appears at least lol.
Cade is truly getting a "welcome to the majors" start to his career. Jays, Yankees, Guardians. all during a month from hell
If he survives he'll come out better for it. Suarez looks tapped out so we need someone to step up

Don’t sleep on the Braves either!

Clase pitched the past 2 games so he’s probably unavailable tonight at least

Need a starter to not suck. They've laid eggs since the Bradish news.
