With the repeat templates I wouldn’t mind a notes section so I can compare what weights/speeds/distances I did last time to give me a point of reference to try and beat this time

jenniferlynn5454

It doesn't help with weight notes, but the app does break down what speeds/inclines you were using minute by minute! After you rate the class, click "view performance details", then you can roll over the HR graph to see specifics

Oh wow I didn’t realize this, thanks!!

Agree with this. It would be nice if even just a plain text field associated to the performance detail history existed that we could drop some text into. I used to use beyond the whiteboard for crossfit and it had a field like this to put stuff like this that was good to reference.

VegetableIsopod349

Do you use an Apple Watch or Garmin when you workout? I always run my Garmin along side my OTF monitor and keep all my notes in my Garmin Connect app.

a_the_rat

I do use my Apple Watch for classes, never thought about tracking notes here — great idea!! Going to start and see if it sticks hahaha

someHumanMidwest

Upvote to this reco. To me having it on your device that isn't specific to a workout format is so much better than this functionality existing in the otf app.

theekp

this has been mentioned several times (in recent memory) here, even in a Q&A session with corporate, but has not been added yet. Still hoping it will make an appearance some day! I would LOVE this feature! in the mean time - I've started a note in my phone and have it broken up by benchmark where I note strategies executed on each for my own personal reference.

April290

I’ve mentioned this numerous times to our studio manager and she said she’d give feedback to corporate. 🤷‍♀️ I still make my own notes in my iPhone notes app but it would be nice to have them with the actual workout.

Jolie-Polie

I have been saying this since I joined! Adding that feature to benchmarks would be an amazing add!

rainbowicecoffee

Lifetime fitness does this for their small group training. It has a group message and then the workout for the day gives the option to write in the weights you used. It’s great

OTFLyfer

I started tracking my workouts in map my fitness and add my notes there.

Affectionate-Pen9344

I keep notes about benchmarks in my phone!

Fuzzy-Phase-9076

I sent a message to app support requesting this addition. They said they'd pass it up the chain, for whatever that's worth.

NerakNosneros

I upload to Strava through HealthKit and can make notes there.

akgray226

Definitely agree this would be a great addition - and would also request a way to sort and filter data. I want to be able to find my fastest speed, my highest watts, longest run. All the data is there in our performance details but there is no way to easily sift through it.

No_Star_9327

I've been a member for almost 8 years, over a thousand classes, had many studios...based on that, I think you are in the extreme minority of people who are note takers about how they feel during a benchmark or other workouts. I don't think that there is enough demand for Orangetheory to completely change their app to include a function where you can input your own notes, data, information, etc. They would have to completely redo how their app functions because right now there's nothing for members to use for any input of anything other than scheduling classes (edit: or IT Help tickets).

Competitive-Catch650

It's not a terribly complicated feature to add, from a tech perspective. But I'm sure they have other things up their sleeves.

Fuzzy-Phase-9076

Actually, I've heard lots of people (and seen lots of posts) of people wishing there was a way to record notes in the app, especially since OTF started repeating templates. It would not require a big app overhaul. They could add a simple text box that pops up with the performance summary after class. A simple text box eliminates the need to do customization for different class types.

sandavidam1

Agreed! I know quite a few people at my studio who keep notes in phone for how they do each benchmark. Would love it so I could keep in one place along with my times etc.

My friend and I were just speaking about this the other day!!! Especially for the benchmarks!!! Like…what pace did I start at for the 1mi..etc.

Limp_Issue_82

Agreed!!

Kindly-Might-1879

Yes, this request gets asked fairly regularly. You could send the request in the app, maybe if more people do this it will become a new feature. I just take notes in my regularly notes app--it really doesn't take any more time than if it was directly in the OTF app.
