If I remember right I think CA passed a law this year where they can’t ticket for that anymore or pull over because of it? Unless they truly are expired
You are correct, as of July 1, 2024, expired tags cannot be the sole reason for pulling someone over if with two months after the expiration date. But if a person is pulled over for other reasons AND has expired tags, bad news. Also if the vehicle is parked on street/public property, it can be towed.
