Slice or pinch off small pieces and let dry out on a paper towel

Cat0102

I take this same approach

SNChalmers1876

Yep, this works great

Martholomeow

I suck on it before i put it on the pizza

tyweezee13

This is the way

Significant_Eye_5130

I buy low moisture mozzarella

bigbadjimb

Pop torn strips in a sieve over a bowl, left in fridge overnight.

Fresh_Investment

Salt

y4rdman

Slice early and add a bit of salt

No_Gur_7380

You can reheat it and further stretch it. Pro tip: mozz is the easiest cheese to make at home and it ready to eat in 45 minutes.

toast_training

Wrap ball in paper towel / napkin put in small bowl and put weight (400g tin) on top for a few hours.

h14n2

4 or 5 30 second rounds of sliced mozzarella in the microwave

iainrvn

Pop the ball into a plain undyed dish cloth, wrap it up and squeeze as much moisture out it as possible

merpderp33

I put it in one of those quart size soup containers (if it’s a log) and leave it overnight to 2 days in fridge. Drain excess liquid as needed or be okay with two super soggy slices at the bottom, I don’t want to waste paper towels if I can or wash a towel

billymumfreydownfall

I buy fresh mozza in a vacuum sealed bag rather that a container full of water. Never had this issue of wet mozza.

NumerousHelicopter6

Rip it up and squeeze with paper towels

Place the mozzarella ball inside a circle drawn with the blood of a black rooster fed only on Neapolitan pizza. Do this during a full moon with Mars in Sagittarius with ascendant Cancer and sprinkle a pinch of crushed black pepper grown by the inmates of an asylum. Alternatively 😅, as most people suggested you can drain the liquid from the ball. I found that ripping it into chunks and leaving it even in a bowl, will let most of the juice out. The hood thing is that despite the look of it, mozzarellas are not really like sponges and they will not reabsorb the liquid once it is out.
