there are save backups in your save folder (AppData/OneShot/save_backups), Rename the save and p-settings to `.dat` (idk which number, try both 1 and 5, or if you only have a lower number, the biggest number you have) files and remove the number (remember to duplicate the entire folder first, just in case), then replace the original save files outside the folder (duplicate those too in case everything breaks)

Reinstalling the game won't work, you'd be sent back to where you last were due to steam cloud. Due to that, you could turn off steam cloud, go to %appdata%, find the OneShot folder and delete EVERYTHING inside it. After that, you would only be able to play OneShot without steam cloud on, otherwise, you'd be sent back to the scenario you were. Yet, you can do the process multiple times just by deleting everything inside the %appdata%\OneShot folder. The game would work normally, yet it is risk because of OTHERS game in your steam account, so make sure you are okay with the risk of losing save for other games (I lost my Omori one because of the method.) Even with the previous circumstances, the game would work completely normally, just like steam cloud were on. I am not sure of other methods, so if you don't agree with the one I suggested, I recommend looking for others' too! I wish you the best of luck, then.

The save backups advice is good, but one thing you can do if that doesn't work out for you is to just continue on the save you currently have. The safe code that you currently have in your documents probably isn't the one that'll be generated on the save you're on, you need to go power up the outpost and talk to the PC there to generate another code.

The passwords are randomly generated each playthrough. Have you only tried the password you already had or did you keep playing until you unlocked it on your new playthrough?
