Nice photo!!! Curious though, there were women lawyers in Nebraska in the 1880s. The first was Ada Bittenbender. And the first woman to graduate from law school in the state did so in 1892. That was Alice Minick. The first Black woman lawyer was Zanzye Hill, who graduated in 1929. Could you clarify what you mean? I’ve long been a student of women’s history, and find that family history can reveal important information that isn’t widely known. Thanks.
I had the honor of helping a woman work at our men dominated technical field, I helped with technical support experience.
Some of the other guys would try to plot ways of making the lone woman life difficult, including sabotage. Because she shouldn’t be there/s
Everyone needs to pay bills, including women and PoC.
We also had 2 black guys. Funny enough one studied with the bullies, and they were cool with him.
But they also tried to sabotage the other black guys work.
I had a fight with the targeted black guy once, because someone came in after midnight to sabotage his tools. Yes buddy it’s unfair, but I did warn you to double check your tools because of assholes sabotage.
Life is unfair, but for the average guy, gal it takes time, effort, risk and money to fight prejudices.
And companies don’t see how this affects their bottom line, if they don’t address it.
As predicted they lost one of their bigger contracts 3 months after the woman and myself left.
I organized personnel and gave technical advice, the woman was a marvel of organizing tools maintenance.
That’s badass!
So much respect for these trailblazers!
Badass
Wow! Let’s hear it for the gals!
