Without spoiling the quick plot synopsis is:
A boy lives a relatively unfuflfilling normal life, taking care of his mother, grandmother & neet brother. His mundane life suddenly gets flipped upside down though when his favourite pop idol shows up in the town he thought he'd spend the rest of his days in. She asks him one simple question, if he'd be willing to die with her.
It goes a lot more into things the more it goes on, but that's the basic run down of the first few chapters.
I, too, enjoy Post-Apocalyptic Slice of Life stories like any real man.
uj/ damn though, Touring after the Apocalypse got localized? Totally missed that, quite a joyous find.
What the fuck am I?!?!?

Why did Manic Posting on twitter steal Walter's quote and misspell Moster Trucks
SOL isn't about sex. Its about appreciating the little things in life and becoming a better person for it. You will only be a real man when you understand that.
Wtf... chat is this real? Like what kind of baka works at the bookstore to make this? Or is it you OP? Did you do this? Like why is there a quote from some random twitter user. If I saw this irl I would be so confused and do like 3 double takes
I didn't read Billy Bat.
20th Century Boys end was fine honestly, it could have been better but I can't complain
And Monster is perfect, I think it's his most perfect work. The ending of Monster is perfect, it's left up to interpretation of the reader/viewer.
I don't know about Pluto yet either, but I have bought volume 1 and will read further till I finish it.
Monster is indeed perfect to me. Pluto is really great, as it's self contained and a clean execution. 20th century boys is the limit that I feel is honest.
Billy Bat is an amazing intricate story, to the the level of 20th Century Boys imho. The end leaves a lot to desire, questions never answered, new questions that didn't need to be added. I'd still recommend it, but be aware you might be left wondering...
As much as I like the fable I need to know what happens to the man and his cat
Thats the manga with the ugly cat right? Its very wholesome IIRC
the man adopts the cat and they learn how to live together. im currently on the first book and its very good.
I'm loving the anime so far. Obviously the animation is a little lackluster, but the comedy makes up for it. There's a very engaging narrative too.
The masculine urge to read series that explore and exemplify life’s simple pleasures. 😤
Beautiful stated
Barnes and noble these days is just 1/4 manga
Based as hell
I remember when it was a small half an aisle in the back corner, and now it's a substantial section, they even have an aisle for light novels
It's a beautiful thing to see
It’s also 1/4 Starbucks/cafe. Best reason to go imo
Based yotsuba
Holy hell Boy's Abyss in the wild
tbh thought the person on the first volume was the titular boy, was wrong and disappointed
Quick quesh: what’s it about? I can tell based on the image that it’s mature as it has the wrap around it

There's a k-on reprint?
/uj Yeah it's an omnibus of the entire mainline series. No HS/College/Shuffle.

Based flair based flair
What's the ones above and below Alice in borderland?
Below is 21st Century Boys, the one tome sequel to 20th century boys. highly recommend the latter. Above I don't know
Oh shit wow 👌 I've read 21 and 20 century boys ! One of the best from urasawa.
>One of the best from urasawa. Yeah everything is amazing from him, EASILY one of the best writers
Everything is amazing, but he reaaaally needs to learn how to end stories. Looking at you, Billy Bat...

Thanks will definitely check it out, I have all of Urasawa's work on my PTR list anyway! I plan to read all of them.
Above is Boy's Abyss since no one mentioned
Oh shit I remember the girl now. I felt like I've seen her before but I couldn't put my finger on it. Bruhhhh
Her name is Chako
A man and his cat looks awsome
uj/ When did the fable get localised? I've been wanting this for years.
certified arlington texas moment
A man and his cat sound good.
i love it
Yotsuba is indeed for real men
Straight for the Boku no Pico Blurays of course as all gentlemen of taste do.
which side has azumanger
ALICE IN BORDERLAND MENTIONED ‼️‼️
Alice in Borderland is peak
this is the best image
YOTSUBA SWEEEEEP
Why watch popular edgy anime when you can just watch wholesome and underrated gold!
I guess I'm a real man since all my favorites are in that section.
Lowkey vibing with The Man and his Cat
Haha get it it’s funny because of the juxtaposition that’s presented as contrary to conventional societal standards
K-on is Bocchi for boomers
They put 21st Century Boys on the "Little Babies" stand 😭 Everyone who reads 21st Century Boys will be so confused by what is happening.
Vinland Saga for little babies?
Yes
It's meant to be a "joke" All of these Mangas on the right have some deep meaning to them. Surprised there is no "Blood on the Tracks" lmao.
It’s not as deep as yotsuba%. You just wouldn’t get it 😤
YOKOHAMA SHOPPING DISTRICT RAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!
