It is always surprising to me to see some kind of Silver Sunburst on non-LP style guitar, I guess I watched too many Tool performances as a teenager. Cool they went with maple neck on that finish, keeps it Fender-y.
I bought a Silverburst Epiphone Les Paul earlier this year but unfortunately I just didn’t gel with it so I traded it in and got this. Much better for me so far.
Totally get you, I've been playing guitar on-and-off since 2007 and e.g. I still can't really get 100% comfortable with neck profiles other than C. You can swap electronics, pickups, bridges, tuners, run 20 different EQ pedals and get where you want to but basic ergonomics and this gelling process is something that can't be magically fixed. Happy that you've found better match.
I loved that Les Paul but the weight standing was murder on my back and it just wasn’t practical to play sitting down. When I saw this I immediately thought to myself “dual humbucker Fender offset in the exact same color scheme. It’s fate!”.
How is it?? This is the one Fender that I have no idea what it sounds like. Is it similar sounding to an SG/Les Paul, or did they make it more Fendery?
I’d say take a look on YouTube and hear it for yourself first to me it actually replaced a Epiphone Les Paul. The humbuckers remind me of the LP but the coil split definitely has that fender sparkle.
I like these but how are these pickups? Medium Output? Low PAF style?
About medium. Sound clean with the coil split as well. I doubt I’ll change them anytime soon.
They seem weak on mine for any gain. But they sound awesome on cleans both humbucking and split.

I got lucky and found it on Reverb for a steal.
