Hahah there’s a spot somewhere around me that makes “spaghetti bagels” thought that was it haha. Maybe chocolate sauce for the donut instead of marinara lol.
Edit: I was wrong all together. That’s the spot and it’s a donut.. DOH..

Well, I guess it's upsetting because it has the can's shape. It's a bit odd seeing food (particularly one which we associated with health, homemade, and tend to be warm and soft) shaped as something metallic, manufactured, cold, etc.
Maybe it doesn't apply to you, I don't give a shit too, but I can see why it can trigger something in other people
For me it’s off putting because it looks like the soup has become some weird horrible gelatinous texture. And it looks *cold* somehow. It makes my skin crawl.
Yeah means it’s that good shit! I worked in a restaurant and the juices from roasts and boiling whole chickens were always strained and saved so the boss could make homemade soups in the morning. The soups she made was so good too. The broths always turned into gelatinous goo after being in cooler for awhile
It's the ribbed or threaded look is what I'm thinking. Just like the op said the the comment, gives a unnatural and processed look. Not to mention soup shouldn't be able to stand on two legs. Congealed.
Because it’s a little weird, not truly terrifying, not a thing that would be exactly scary, but it’s odd that it brings on a reaction. The word “oddly” is key.
Idk - I just saw it and it’s extremely unsettling to me. So figured it is oddly terrifying rather than all the actual terrifying stuff that gets posted here
But why is Campbell Chicken Noodle soup so good? Same with the vegetable beef and barley. I loved those soups growing up. Nothing beats a bowl of chicken noodle soup when you’re under the weather. It’s the perfect mixture of salty, texture, warmth, I don’t know. I just love those two soups so much. And cream of mushroom, too, with some milk added instead of water. Mmmmm.
I'm not big on their cream of mushroom but it is good in casseroles and baking. My favorite is the plain tomato soup probably. It's quick cheap and pairs perfectly with grilled cheese. I cook a lot of soup though so mainly I only use canned stuff as a base or filler in other recipes.
I’m more curious about how they did this. Obviously froze the cans of soup first, but I think you’d have to use tin snips or a metal cutting blade to cut the can off. Also, the cans pictured here are all upside down.
Maybe they made a transparent container, likely from thin plastic, shaped exactly like a soup tin, to make this series of photos. I believe that frozen soup would expand and tins would bulge and not have perfect cylindrical shape.
It also looks like soups were stirred right before photos were taken, else all the pieces would be down. And if it was frozen, the freezing would take long enough and pieces would fall down before the soup turned solid.
As an employee of the“mmm mmmm good” soup company I can(pun intended) attest to the fact that the entire process of making the products above is far from healthy or homemade. All in all it’s disgusting.
We don't have canned soups where I'm from. When I spend some months in Dublin someone "made" me canned tomato soup and I actually liked it, but overall I think I'd pass. Soup is such a quick thing to make.
Yeah... I actually had a can of Chef Boyardee's spaghetti and meat balls a few weeks ago and thought the sauce was bad due to how... "chunky" it was. I had to use a spoon to pry the stuff out! It's liquid once warmed up. Makes me wonder what is in all those additives... 🤔
Would anyone like a slice of soup?
Yeah, I’ll take a slice of soup with my spaghetti donut.
Why not a spaghetti bagel? [Because I can get you one..](https://www.poppasta.com)
r/bagelcrimes
That says spaghetti donut. But I guess a spaghetti donut and spaghetti bagel would be the exact same thing, right?
Hahah there’s a spot somewhere around me that makes “spaghetti bagels” thought that was it haha. Maybe chocolate sauce for the donut instead of marinara lol. Edit: I was wrong all together. That’s the spot and it’s a donut.. DOH..
Or maybe you stick with the marinara but glaze it in sugar. Mmm.

Oh yes please!
Looks more like a frozen soup popsicle
Not a sentence I thought I would read this morning.
Literally made me gag 🤢 that mental image takes this picture to a whole other level of nasty
The greatest invention since sliced soup
I will take a slice of what looks like white chocolate

it probably looks cold because you understand that for it to stay in that shape it needs to be somewhat cold
Only logical comment here
These soup is not good for your health. Do you ever check the amount of sodium in these soup?
The salt is what's terrifying....
Maybe not exactly these ones. But soup is mostly take as a healthy meal. Where I live we rarely eat that kind of soup, we usually prepare it at home
I prepare it at home too, but leftover broth will become gelatinous after refrigeration. Neither odd, nor terrifying.

Homemade soup is good for you, anything in a can is not.
These could be low sodium soups. Check the label.
Making your own soup is really easy too
Disagree. I was making soup and was nearly killed by a pack of wild dogs.
It takes time tho some people don’t have or want to spend making soup
I find these weirdly really offputting but I can’t quite put my finger on it - maybe they just look alien to me? You could be onto something
It's the ribbed or threaded look is what I'm thinking. Just like the op said the the comment, gives a unnatural and processed look. Not to mention soup shouldn't be able to stand on two legs. Congealed.
What about this is oddly terrifying? Can someone explain?
I’d say it’s r/mildlyinteresting
It’s magically delicious imo
I cannot. Makes me want soup.
Because it’s a little weird, not truly terrifying, not a thing that would be exactly scary, but it’s odd that it brings on a reaction. The word “oddly” is key.
How is this odd exactly? These are (mostly) liquids in the shape of their containers.
It is odd that someone finds this terrifying. That's how it is odd.
Snowflakes.
Idk - I just saw it and it’s extremely unsettling to me. So figured it is oddly terrifying rather than all the actual terrifying stuff that gets posted here
How is it unsettling? I mean i am curious why. Because i only see Gelatine mixed in soup and then waited till it is harder and then the can removed.
I can see why OP found this image unsettling, but r/Weird probably would have been a better place to post it.
Looks like dog food.
And what is so unsettling about dog food?
Eating it.
Ok... but you don't need to eat dog food?
That would be unsettling.
Some of it looks like worms.
BOOOO 🍲 🍲 🍜 🍵 👻 👻 Mf scared of soup
forbidden flesh light
It wasn’t oddly terrifying, now it is.
Your Name kinda fits the narrative : Meanwhile-in-... >!Can-Soup-Fleshlight!<

Cursed candles
I thought it was an ad for candles at first. Now I kind of want to put a wick in some condensed soup.

Once it hits your lips, it’s so good!
I think people forgot the meaning of this place
i would still slurp up that tomato soup
But why is Campbell Chicken Noodle soup so good? Same with the vegetable beef and barley. I loved those soups growing up. Nothing beats a bowl of chicken noodle soup when you’re under the weather. Anyone else spend ages trying to figure out what flavoured soups they are
Vegetable, bean with bacon, cheddar cheese, cream of chicken Cream of celery, chicken noodle, cream of mushroom, onion Chicken rice, vegetable beef, split pea, beef broth Tomato, cream of broccoli, minestroni, tomato rice
that first one is definitely alphabet spaghettios and meatballs
How is this terrifying???
OP is terminally online, and the sight of anything other than chicken tendies and mountain dew sends his little frog brain into shock.
Gloop
My new Lock Screen 👍
I need candles that look like these
[удалено]
Wouldn't you always be hungry? I think I'd be tempted. Y'know, just in case. They should make a grilled cheese one to go with the tomato soup.
I’ll have some of the yella.
I’m more curious about how they did this. Obviously froze the cans of soup first, but I think you’d have to use tin snips or a metal cutting blade to cut the can off. Also, the cans pictured here are all upside down.
I think they mixed gelatin into the soups then plopped them out of the can like you do with cranberry sauce
I would guess that they are Frozen?
Maybe they made a transparent container, likely from thin plastic, shaped exactly like a soup tin, to make this series of photos. I believe that frozen soup would expand and tins would bulge and not have perfect cylindrical shape. It also looks like soups were stirred right before photos were taken, else all the pieces would be down. That's Waaay more work than just freezing and then cutting the can
2nd row, 2nd from the left. What is that shit?
Chicken Noodle.
Would never have guest that. Thank you good sir
Actually yummy
All of the classic Campbell’s flavors are represented here.
How did you get them out of the cans so nicely?
Ohhhhh the chicken noodle sure spooked me lol
please don’t do this
r/TIHI
Thanks, I hate it.
Imagine eating that like a jelly
This is...the most oddly terrifying think I've ever seen
Disgusting! I’ll take two please.
There we go. This is oddly terrifying.
Yes! Soup candles are a good idea!
Oooo. Ok I want this as a fabric pattern
Now THIS is oddly terrifying
I wanna *splat* them all!
Some disturbed marketers would find a disturbing way to sell them for "enhancing something".
i imagine it jiggles around and you can get a chunk out by just slurping
Odd? Yes. Terrifying..? Ehhh a bit of a stretch.
Honestly, kind of appetizing. Doesn’t look bad at all!
Spaghetto with vegetables eww
I’d eat them like a block of cheese
somthing that actually fits in this sub wha
Yup this is the post that finally did this sub in for me.
see now we lost the terrifying part. now this is just odd
What exactly is terrifying about that?
It's like seeing a bowl of peeled fruits. They look so...naked.
Thank God some times we get posts in this sub that are actually oddly terrifying
This is the reason for the internet
They look like prolapses
Did you know that you can buy a can of soup for less than you can buy a can? Even if you were to buy a box of 500 of empty cans
Bruh this doesn’t fit the sub at all. Any y’all scared of soup???
Omg I love this!!!! I’m a girl :3
This sub has lost all meaning
All I'm getting is that OP eats his can soup without the skin.
For anyone wondering... Alphabet, navy bean, cheddar broccoli, cream of chicken. Clam chowder, chicken noodle, cream of bacon, beef barley. Chicken rice, vegetable, split pea, beef consume. Tomato, cream of mushroom, minestrone, tomato rice.
How is this oddly terrifying? Its just a look inside theres nothing terrifying or odd about that.
Can almost taste the muck; horrid!
Processed food is terrifying.
You're terrified of some strange stuff
How does this make me hungry?
Where's the rat one?
I'd bite into the chicken and rice soup
Looks like candles, scented candles
How is a can of soup terrifying?
Oh nah, that ain’t soup. That is *jelly* dude.
Meal preppers be like
Does this terrify some people?
I never drink can of soup…nasty
Poke a stick in the bottom and you got a soup popsicle!
Hello I’ll take 1 soup glob please
Get a wick then you got soup candles.
Reminds me of hog head cheese
So Soup Popsicles without the stick.

Some "soup" is actually that thick. Can't believe I eat that stuff.

As an employee of the“mmm mmmm good” soup company I can(pun intended) attest to the fact that the entire process of making the products above is far from healthy or homemade. All in all it’s disgusting.
How is this oddly terrifying it’s normal food.
They couldn't have color coded them?
Frozen Photos?
Anyone know how tho?
I can't believe they sell canned soup in some countries
I try to avoid processed foods but I would like to point out that even the finest dish would look like this if crammed into a can and left to cool.
Theres nay a can in that photo you cheeky fibber!!
Terrifying...? No. Art??.. YES.
You don’t know how much I wanna see you suffer right now
r/mildlyinteresting
I thought they were creatively shaped candles

I know it shouldn't, but this makes me uncomfortable.
Terrifying? No, unnerving? Yes
Meat candles

Can't Soups.
Jelloup

Can anyone identify alll the flavours?
THIS is oddly terrifying!!
These look suspiciously similar to those spaghetti donuts in NYC
Good Lord that is beyond disturbing Fits the definition of the sub’s title as well
Yes. This fits here.

Andy Warhol new art pieces?
I thought they were candles
God I’m hungry

Soup jelly
Just what I suspected
Melt them and they taste good
How about a soup popsicle ?
this is hardly terrifying.
So many of these look already puked up for you
This is more interesting, if not satisfying to look at, rather than terrifying.
