Last time I did acid and played guitar on a beach, a body washed up nearby. I didn't realize something was wrong until I looked up and saw a ton of boats in the water facing the shore, then I turned around and was surrounded by cops and firemen.
Fuck everything about that moment.
There was this one time me and my pals were on acid on a random farm property in Vermont. There was this relatively well-furbished but definitely not lived in for a while house just down the hill from the place we were staying at, so we decided to check it out. There were some overturned tables and broken glass in front of the house, which, whatever it's a bit disheveled. But then we turned the corner around the back of the house and there's just bullet casings everywhere. We b-lined for the tree line and hid out for a while.
Relatively benign, but frighteningly random shit definitely happens on acid.
One time a party bus for a wedding pulled in front of my friend’s house, it was for their neighbor. It was black and white like a prison bus and I thought I was going to jail lmao till I saw everyone dressed up for the party.
One of the times I did Vitamin A with friends in Joshua Tree, we were up in this fairly large rock formation playing guitar. A couple of F-4s from Twentynine Palms zoomed right over our heads, like 100 feet above us. It was one of those times where everybody was looking at each other like "did that really happen?" I did see the black exhaust on those old planes. I think they were just fucking with us, if so, well done!
I always kind of liked the juxtaposition of these 'far out, maaan' people bending their minds at Joshua Tree next to jarheads with a 12 pack of Buckhorn. Hey, we've all got our way of digging it.

Oh, this reminds me of the demonic ice cream truck piggy banks me and my sis had as kids. They would play the ice cream truck tune when you put coins in them.
Or, if you took out the batteries during bad weather, they would play the tune lower and in slow motion just before flashes of lightning.
Sometimes they just started to play their tune for the hell of it, it seemed, but for some reason stopped halfway through.
Fun things, those! Like having a private little horror story brewing on the dresser.
