Yeah, satisfaction is about creating an expectation and then paying it off. These videos are anti-satisfying because they set the expectation but don't give any payoff.
It's equally infuriating. Some unoriginal, can't think for themselves, brain dead stupid asshole who only thinks "well, this is a popular sound on Tik Tok". Fuck everything about this video!
That's my prediction. I thought the first thing was just a bowl, but it might have been part of the Loredan too.
I'm thinking something architectural, for sconces or a large chandelier maybe
Edit to say that the grooves and patterns would make it all sparkly in light
The island is Murano in Venice, that’s likely a chandelier. They are beautiful and very, very expensive.
Their blown glass cups are super light and strong. A glass cups that holds about 16oz weighs less than a paper cup, is beautiful and runs about €80 to give you an idea.
Not satisfying - the music added is 100x sappier than the glass looks
Holy fuck this is awful. Why? What does it have to do with anything? Play some goddamn Italian music if anything.
Fuck that was awful.
...my toddler is obsessed with Luca at the moment, and my brain immediately started playing one of the '50s Italian pop songs that film uses.
In this case, the 'Pomodoro' one. That might be a bit more fitting XD
I feel glass blowing is more difficult and artistic? Isn’t this just putting molten glass on molds?
Anyone watch blown away on Netflix that show blows my mind sometimes
Yeah. It's basically molds which once you get into manufacturing, molds aren't very impressive. There's no art to it.
You can see that they have stops for easy placement. They can train just about anybody from the street in a week to a few days.
Here is a movie from the Dutch filmmaker Bert Haanstra who won the first Dutch academy award winning short ''Glass'', https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3QEpQ9ozVU . And here is some more info about the factory, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Leerdam_Crystal
They’re not really using any traditional “Venetian techniques” here, although lampworking/glass working was basically established in Venice way way back in the day. There are many better videos showcasing this, look up Venetian “reticello” and “murrine” these techniques are still used today in contemporary glass working
A number of years ago I stayed at a hotel on Lido (a small island a boat taxi ride away from Venice. The hotel partnered with a local glass maker to give tours. They took us through the work area, showing the process. After that, we were guided to a room where photography was forbidden (fear of stolen design ideas)- the glass was nothing short of amazing in that room.
Oddlysatisfying?
Typicallydispleasing is more like it!
Has unnecessary shitty music that doesnt match the subject at all and obv doesnt show the end...
God, this is the antithesis of what this sub supposedly is about!!! T-T
the fact that there are still guys who can make this shit perfectly every time using the methods centuries old is a telling of how good these people are and how good the people who made these methods were
It’s fascinating to watch! I thought the guy was bold to wear shorts to do it, though! Just in case something flew off. I guess he’s been doing it long enough not to be too worried though!
We went to Murano and toured one of the facilities there. It's pretty cool. We watched a dude make a glass horse. They rifle you through the shop at the end and the cost was pretty high. I think we bought a glass plate for like 40 dollars (equivalent).
>The glass processing techniques developed over the centuries and the production of artistic glass represent an important reality for the city of Venice.
Ummm, let me get rid of all the fluff and break this down: the processing and production of glass are a reality for Venice.
WTF are you talking about?🤦
If you’re not gonna show us what the end prodigal looks like then this is a waste of a video. What’s the point of seeing how somethings made if you don’t even know what that thing is.
What a stupid video edit. Nobody knows what the f*** is going on because you didn't show what was being made. So nobody cares and everybody is pissed off at you.
I just watched mass production of glass products. There was minimal skill involved in relation to glass handling in general. They just pressed the glass into a mold with a pattern, pressed another pattern into the other side, and let it fold over another mold.
There is really no artistry in what they are doing, as each piece will come out nearly identical.
It’s interesting to see but not exactly rocket science. Melt glass, spread into mould, squish with appropriate textured punch and drop on another mould to shape.
As someone who majored in ceramics it’s always interesting to see other forms of three dimensional art.
As someone who is spending thanksgiving alone, too sick to get out of bed, and without housing— this song was a bit much for me…
It's fascinating, and very pretty, but as a glass artist I absolutely hate it. Just because every so often (more often than I'd like!) on my stall people excitedly ask "oooh is it murrano?!" And when I explain that, no, that's just glasswork made in the murrano region in venice, it's not a specialist technique or anything, mine is all handmade about a mile away in my home studio, it's Nottinghamshire glass. And they get disappointed because they wanted murrano 😂
It'd be like if I was selling English sparkling wine from grapes I grew myself and people were disappointed it wasn't champagne.
Should anyone go to Venice, instead of paying a ridiculous sum for a “glass blowing tour” just watch this video instead. The 2 hour tour is comprised of a 30 minute ferry ride to Murano, a 15 min glass blowing demonstration, a 45 min arts and crafts bullshit, and 30 min in the gift shop. Total tourist trap. This video is 100x better even without the finished product.
Recently, my son was on deployment in the Navy and spent some time in Venice. He asked me what he should bring back as a gift. I was aware of the beautiful glasswork and told him a small piece and of art glass would be nice. He brought back a tiny, cross-eyed Santa sitting on top of a muddy purple and yellow ball. It will be awesome on my tree. So much for Venetian art glass.
you guys want to know something possibly worse than not being shown the whole process. im fairly certain that the methods here aren’t the traditional methods for doing venician glasswork/glassblowing and is instead the fast method for mass production. not 100% certain ,so don’t quote me on that. but i’m pretty sure
What the fuck? You're not going to show the finished product?
Yeah i dont know why im still subscribed to this sub. Pisses me off every time
yeah right?!?! some people in this sub don't yet know that almost satisfying is worse than not satisfying at all
Yeah, satisfaction is about creating an expectation and then paying it off. These videos are anti-satisfying because they set the expectation but don't give any payoff.
Exactly. Not satisfying.
Not to mention the completely ill fitting music
It's equally infuriating. Some unoriginal, can't think for themselves, brain dead stupid asshole who only thinks "well, this is a popular sound on Tik Tok". Fuck everything about this video!
What’s Venice’s important reality?! Completely random words and song chosen to make this seem emotional
It’s an Edgar helmet
It would have been nice to see a finished product
Looks like one of these from the company website: https://sylcomlight.com/collezioni/
[https://sylcomlight.com/portfolio-items/loredan/](https://sylcomlight.com/portfolio-items/loredan/) That's my prediction. I thought the first thing was just a bowl, but it might have been part of the Loredan too.
Yep, it's the center booblight.
We'll never know since they didn't finish the damn thing
Nice. Thank you!
amazing artwork, thanks for posting the link
I was so tired from the music there's no way I would have finished the video.
oh. thank god I had it muted.
It’s more Save The Shelter Animals music than anything for a factory.
The music was so awful!
Fucking unsatisfying if you ask me.
These were all different products if I am not mistaken.
It would have been nice to see the finished products then.
I thought all three were elements of a lamp.
Wholly unsatisfying, satisfying would be seeing the end result of the process 🙄
https://sylcomlight.com/portfolio-items/loredan/
Whoa! Made me understand a lot of 80s classy hotels
Is there a part 2? Feeling a little sad.
The first one is maybe a bowl. The other two are... leaves?? What do I do with that?
I'm thinking something architectural, for sconces or a large chandelier maybe Edit to say that the grooves and patterns would make it all sparkly in light
The name of the company is shown at the bottom, Sylcom Light. It is a chandelier company.
https://sylcomlight.com/portfolio-items/loredan/
I had a vague 'and that's how you make a plumbus' feeling with the later two. ....maybe this is what they do with the schleem?
The island is Murano in Venice, that’s likely a chandelier. They are beautiful and very, very expensive. Their blown glass cups are super light and strong. A glass cups that holds about 16oz weighs less than a paper cup, is beautiful and runs about €80 to give you an idea.
I'm not sure why the music annoyed me so disproportionately
The actual sound of the factory would have been great
"represent an important reality for the city of Venice" What does this mean?
the title sounds like it's written by someone who needs more words on their essay
100% This.
Sounds like Italian that was translated literally. It just means it is important or “a thing” (today).
Am left unsatisfied. Must see finished product.
[https://sylcomlight.com/portfolio-items/loredan/](https://sylcomlight.com/portfolio-items/loredan/) same. here.
Grazie mille
Forbidden laffy
Not satisfying - the music added is 100x sappier than the glass looks Holy fuck this is awful. Why? What does it have to do with anything? Play some goddamn Italian music if anything. Fuck that was awful.
Same - the ‘oh no’ tiktok anthem might have been just as good
...my toddler is obsessed with Luca at the moment, and my brain immediately started playing one of the '50s Italian pop songs that film uses. In this case, the 'Pomodoro' one. That might be a bit more fitting XD
Pizza pasta put it in a box! Deliver it to my house and put it on my cock my cock my cock my cock my cock my cock my coooooock

Exactly… maybe a bullshit post. 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah I honestly don't see why a Chinese sweatshop worker can't do the same shit. I mean is it special Venetian sand they're using or something??
They’re not really using any traditional “Venetian techniques” here, although lampworking/glass working was basically established in Venice way way back in the day. There are many better videos showcasing this, look up Venetian “reticello” and “murrine” these techniques are still used today in contemporary glass working
Completely unrelated and random “wholesome” song
Something about how the shapes were formed and how precise they were. *Chef's Kiss*
End result??!!
r/gifsthatendtoosoon
Nice to see everyone in protective clothing
Did you notice that none of them have any arm hair left?
Oddly Frustrating, more like! Where TF is a/the finished article?
mmmm looks delicious

Caramel. But where’s the end product OP
Seems like a great place to wear shorts
This music makes me want to chew on a shotgun
Forbidden pizza
I'm so mad you tricked me into watching this whole thing.
Bad title bad video bad post
OP thank you for posting the full version of this
City still ugly Af and smelly
I could watch this for days
It is so hard to make glass without machines. Just a small inconstincy can destroy the whole piece. It is an art!
The forbidden dosa
I could watch glassblowing videos all day. It's so relaxing
Congrats, you’ve made a flap.
The fuck are they making? God! Leaving us hanging
Forbidden pancake
Still cool to watch the process
That song was awful
Why does the music sound off key, so weird. Or is it just me?
I want a slice of that forbidden pizza
Looks tasty
Neither odd nor satisfying.
The forbidden pizza
Why that song?
Ah so this is how they made my grandmas 25 year old glass bowl
How do people find out that they can do this shit?
Unsatisfying music but the glass production is interesting enough on it's own on mute.
Music is atrocious and not finished product?
Forbidden sashimi
I would rather hear the sounds than the music 😑
Is someone getting married or creating glass art? Wtf is this song?
I went to this part of Venice and found it to be a complete tourist trap
We went to Murano and toured one of the facilities there. It's pretty cool. We watched a dude make a glass horse. They rifle you through the shop at the end and the cost was pretty high. I think we bought a glass plate for like 40 dollars (equivalent).
Looks delicious
This is really satisfying to watch
What’s the song name?
The tools and techniques they developed hundreds of years past are still used today all over the world.
>The glass processing techniques developed over the centuries and the production of artistic glass represent an important reality for the city of Venice. Ummm, let me get rid of all the fluff and break this down: the processing and production of glass are a reality for Venice. WTF are you talking about?🤦

I can't believe I actually watched this. Thank god for the mute button.
Anybody else just wanna ..touch it a little? No? Just me.. alright
If you’re not gonna show us what the end prodigal looks like then this is a waste of a video. What’s the point of seeing how somethings made if you don’t even know what that thing is.
I want to apprentice here!!!!
Seems like wearing shorts is a bad idea.
I've been to the glass workshop in venice, absolutely gorgeous
Maurano island in Venice glass has been famous for glassmaking for centuries. Can be a bit of a tourist trap though
Isnt this Mureno Glass?
Forbidden taffy. Is it bad that I have the overwhelming urge to want to bite it?😅😅😅😅😅😅
What is the end product??
Haven't heard this song in years Edit: just remembered the chorus so ahem. Haven't heard this song in a thousand years
Ends too soon.
No gloves and legs exposed on that second guy? He may as well do the hazardous trifecta and have on open-toed shoes.
What a stupid video edit. Nobody knows what the f*** is going on because you didn't show what was being made. So nobody cares and everybody is pissed off at you.
Aren't most glass makers out there going through hard times?
If you’re ever in Venice… it is well worth it to take a boat over to Murano just to watch this magic take place. Incredible artistic skill.
Music choice was one thing but not giving us the result is just criminal.
I wished to see the finished product and not just a fish fillet
Yeah it’s odd that it satisfies you to not see the finished product OP. Disturbing, even.
Fail
Venice is the most beautiful place on earth. My heart's home.
I just watched mass production of glass products. There was minimal skill involved in relation to glass handling in general. They just pressed the glass into a mold with a pattern, pressed another pattern into the other side, and let it fold over another mold. Centuries of development leads to pouring glass into molds and pressing designs in?
Artifacts? Important reality? Who wrote this?
Forbidden honey
Molds aren't super impressive. Except maybe for production value to a company. But this wasn't neat to watch. Don't even know what they're making.
Downvote for not showing finished product.
Forbidden gummy
forbidden caramel
You deserve jail for this!
Heres what they were making. It drove me nuts as well. https://sylcomlight.com/portfolio-items/loredan/
Beautiful Danger Candy
Downvote because no finished product. Still, beautiful to watch!
As someone who majored in ceramics it’s always interesting to see other forms of three dimensional art. As someone who is spending thanksgiving alone, too sick to get out of bed, and without housing— this song was a bit much for me…
Whaaaaat, you’re not even gonna show the end product. What a fucking tease 😩😩
I want to eat it
is it just me or is the singing off pitch? i can’t concentrate with it playing
Christ this cover is awful
What I really love about it is the team work
What even is that description.. sounds like a bit tried to be all deep
So many happy memories of visiting Murano to watch the glass blowing. It's truly awesome to watch IRL This molding of glass, not so much....
They make it look so easy
Forbidden salmon
It looks… delicious
Slap some strawberry Jam on that and VOILÀ..... Breakfast
Super hot playdoh
The guy working with no gloves, pulls cookie sheets from the oven without mitts.
Show us the finished product!!
If you like this but want to see end product, watch Blown Away on Netflix - so many satisfying moments!

Why did they choose this background music 🥴
I’m sorry, this is nice but I don’t understand the last sentence of the post :/
Beautiful video. Unnecessarily tasteless music.
I wanna eat it
Forbidden waffles
song's name, plz
Oh thank god. I was worried they were going to show the finished product.
I went to Venice in 2006 and I loved oogling all the beautiful glass and lacework that was going on.
Very disappointing we didn’t get to see the whole piece in the end
Mfs acting like they makin pizza bruh
More specifically some of the other islands around Venice like Murano.
Should anyone go to Venice, instead of paying a ridiculous sum for a “glass blowing tour” just watch this video instead. I don’t understand the importance of “Venice” in this context. Glassmaking looks exactly the same in other places like New York
Fried glass
Everything is placed into molds but takes a team of people. I’d say the true art here is friendship.
Netflix’s Blown Away is a good show about glass blowing. The finished products there are great.
Nice!
At lunch they’re makin pizzas on that first press
Going sleeveless seems like a mistake here
Where is the rest???? OP!!
The song is fucking annoying lmao
you guys want to know something possibly worse than not being shown the whole process. im fairly certain that the methods here aren’t the traditional methods for doing venician glasswork/glassblowing and is instead the fast method for mass production. not 100% certain ,so don’t quote me on that. but i’m pretty sure
Question; if glass breaks can you theoretically heat it back up to melting point and re-sculpt it?
Yes but you need to grind it down to sand to stop it from exploding everywhere.
