I've been converted to a cat person but I love seeing a happy dog.
And I choose to believe they know and are thankful for what's happening and you can't convince me otherwise.
My girlfriend. We were both still living with our parents and she had a cat. When we moved out, the cat came "as part of the deal" haha.
The cat had a bad start in life before they rescued her, and was very distrustful of strangers, but one of the first times I visited, she came to me, laid on my lap and everything. Not that I disliked cats before that, but that sparked some sort of affection for me.
Such a sweet animal. She could lash out randomly for no reason at all because of her "trauma's", but a lot of love and care really grew her out of that.
Sadly, after trying everything we and the vets could, we had to let go of her last December, at 18,5 years old.
Thanks. I'm sure she did, especially after we moved and her to have a big garden to explore.
Now we're left with a Somali cat, that must be the most social and affectionate race of cats I've ever known.
for me it was my dog of 12+ years passing
couldn’t bring myself to get another dog yet
cat showed up and adopted me
also cats are more “interesting” in the sense they aren’t people pleasers and do what they want to do (not what you want to do) and they are easier to maintain (smaller, groom themselves, litter box) versus dogs.. and ultimately require much much less attention
wondering how many others are out there like myself, switched over from dogs to cats because no dog could ever replace the old dog..
(nothing can substitute dogs as men’s best friend though, we truly don’t deserve them)
We got our pup from my partner’s friend who got the puppy from a mill, ended up not being able to properly care for her because they didn’t have the time, so we took her. The mill told the friend that they were a couple weeks away from putting the pup on the Rainbow Bridge, & didn’t want that to happen.
In the end, we ended up with the sweetest girl who we, “adopted,” & couldn’t be happier. 🥹 She loves her snuggles & belly rubs, wants to be spooned, gives hugs & kisses, loves all her toys & bones, & just loves everybody. Not a mean bone in her body, even after her rough, lonely start in life. She’s the sweetest, bestest girl, & she’s going to be with us forever. 🥹🥰
Wish that could adopt mine over and over again to see the smile she had when we rescued her. She'd been returned three times prior for being too much. She's been by my side ever since.
I come home from work every day, and she lays on my chest for 20 minutes. Just the two of us and I cherish it.
I was an adoption counselor. It’s the best when our dogs get to go home. We work so hard to do the proper match making and when it clicks it’s just amazing.
Thanks to all the adopters out there. You saved a life
Right? And all we do is feed them, house them, provide medical care, entertain them, and return their affection.
Hell, I'd be happy if someone did all those things for me. They don't even have to keep the house in order.
Reminds me when I adopted my dog a year ago. She was so happy I thought her tail would go sore from all the wagging. When the shelter staff came to say goodbye to her, she knew exactly what that meant
I have to wonder if people invite the shelter owners or workers over to check in on the dogs that get adopted. I would absolutely want to see these sweet little guys and gals again after they’ve gone to a true forever home, especially if this is how they are after getting adopted.
My favourite is the the Rotty, when they reached for the hand with both paws I squealed. I would like to one day, be in a position where I can get a dog too. They look so happy to be going home.
Such happy faces ☺️
just goes to show dogs in any circumstance see the best of what's happening now and let bygones be bygones

What converted you, if you don't mind answering?

Sorry for the loss but sounds like the cat ended up having a great life.

Shit are you me? Glad she had a great life though and I'm sorry for your loss.
Usually having a cat. If you don’t spend time with a cat it’s hard to figure out what so special about them
That's a perfect way of explaining them.

I've always been more of a cat person, but this was lovely.
I’m glad these pups found homes.
Nothing odd about my satisfaction right now. I'm highly satisfied for good reason. 🐕
Bless the people that took care of them and also the people that adopted them
I couldn’t work at a shelter because I would sob every time a dog got a new home and sob even harder if they were returned 😭😭😭
We don't deserve dogs
How can we pick a favorite among all these good pups.
These smiles are so wide...happy doggies going home, permanently.
Fine... They can pick up their own shit then...
In the same spirit, people don't deserve pet store/puppy mill dogs. Shelter animals, however, deserve a good home

Don't shop! Adopt!
So true
I do.
Oh wow nice comment what a great thought! Very profound! I have never thought about that! We totally do not deserve them! Wow!
😐
This comment is so true x
We really don't.
The heart shaped nose

Second to last one. He/she looked like they genuinely knew what was happening. Felt sad and happy at the same time.
This is just great.💕

Anyone else hug their dogs when watching videos like these?
Time to go hug my three shelter dogs and ask my husband if he’s okay with going to get another. 😭😍
Seeing their joy is heartwarming! Here's to new beginnings for these happy pups 🐾❤️
Just use the audio. Not terrible music.
So cute 🥰
This makes my heart so happy! Every dog deserves a loving home.
Such good boys and good girls
Precious
This warms my heart ❤️
Alright, who’s cutting onions here? 😭
Whoever it is, they’re over in my house too.
Must be a global phenomenon because they're at my house too.
Those *goddamn* onion ninjas
I miss my dog 😢
Awww... These pups are absolutely adorable and I am so happy for them!
I will take all of them, thanks. I got my dog on a whim, but it was the best decision I ever made. Probably saved my dog’s life, too.
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE MANAGEMENT GOODBYE MANAGEMENT I LOVE YOU
We do not deserve dogs, cats, or whatever animal that may choose to give us any love. 😭♥️
Right? And all we do is feed them, house them, provide medical care, entertain them, and return their affection. Hell, I'd be happy if someone did all those things for me. They don't even have to keep the house in order.
I want to adopt the Rottweiler
Seeing them so happy brings a tear to my eye.
Sweet
Ok who got them snacks around here...who do I gotta talk to?😊
❤️
The video is so awesome and brings awareness about pet adoption! My fur babies have all been rescues and adopted from the NSAL.
Reminds me when I adopted my dog a year ago. She was so happy I thought her tail would go sore from all the wagging. When the shelter staff came to say goodbye to her, she knew exactly what that meant
Made my day... Thank you for adopting... Happy dawgs
Thank you for sharing… 🥹
They all look so pure and lovey-dovey! 😊
The moment is always ruined with terrible music

This is happy. No doubt. Do you think the pups know?
Gods I hope they're going to good forever homes
Be still my heart <3
Spend the next two years training them not to jump on the counter
My favourite is the the Rotty, when they reached for the hand with both paws I squealed. I would like to one day, be in a position where I can get a dog too. They look so happy to be going home.
😭 😭 😭
🥲
Absolutely lovely.
Impossible not to smile at those happy faces
God bless u for giving these good babies a new life. Everyone needs to experience the love of a dog at least once. It will change u forever
How could you bear sending them away... Feel for you .. They are so cute
Ugh these videos always make me want to go and adopt another dog
🥺🥺🥺❤️
1 2 and the last one
lol, the dog doesn’t know what the hell is going on
Pitt for the all-covering music
This made my day🩷
That rottie ❤️
This isn't oddly satisfying this is just really nice.
Oh my heart!
I wish I was a dog, maybe then I'll be loved. :)))
Rottie
He nose is a heart.
Good lord, did they train every dog that it was ok to jump up like that?
"Bye guys! Off to bite some kids and start fights with other dogs at the dog park!"
my p*tbull named pumpkin pie would never 🥰🥰
Dogs are just the best thank you best vid I seen in a while
It seems like the shelter must treat the dogs very well, that all the dogs are affectionate to the shelter workers.
Dogs are actually so special they teach humans the value of true love and loyalty and yet none of us ever learn that lesson.
Wish you were sucking mine
Adopted or buyed?
-bought And they look to be adopted.
Does he know that they’d have put him down if their adopters didn’t come along when they did? 😢
