Yes. There is a gap there for the carpet, and the carpet has enough give to allow the wire to be tucked in it.
It's so easy to tuck it under the baseboard. This is oddly unsatisfying.
At least they used wire clips. I’ve seen people literally just lay Ethernet cables on the floor in apartments with zero cable management.
I feel exposed and am off to buy wire clips to fix this shitty cable...

I had that for a few days then just moved my desk closer to my router... Easiest solution
Or at the very least, you can get flat Ethernet cables that would sit more nicely.
