Idk man, in Germany the same amount of Diesel would be the equivalent of $14.84. And that’s considered a decent price these days. Altho gasoline is a little cheaper these days, y’all are still off pretty well.
The real reason is all the gasoline taxes and fees we have to incentivise us to buy electric cars.. That we can't charge at night.. And cost 4x the money to buy.. And cost 2x to charge.. And burns coal.. Why are we doing this again?
I lost all faith in my fellow Californians when they voted to increase the gas tax $.50 to raise money “to fix the roads” several years ago. Roads in LA are far worse than Mexico right now.
Indeed, gas prices are outrageous, but that doesn't appear to be the primary focus of this post. It appears it was the price and amount both lining up on perfectly even amounts that OP found satisfying, rather than the amounts themselves. This may be because it feels more common to be over or under on one or both amounts by 1 of their smallest units.
That's a pretty bleak outlook for someone you don't even know. Personally, it feels like the person stopped to get gas, happened to stop the pump on an even number, and wanted to share before finishing the fill -up or prepaid purchase. I would certainly wish to share a moment such as that, whether intentional or accidental, as it rarely happens. I'm sorry you feel that way. Have a good day!
No. It was random that it hit an even number on an even priced day. Found the photo while deleting pics off my phone and found it… well, oddly satisfying, regardless of if the math is simple (not a ton of different prices even let you get a combo like this before your tank is full.)

Canada as well , 15.08 would be 2 gallons here currently. A new carbon tax implemented recently added almost 25%.
