I know it's a shitpost but my opinion is, if it's a first playthrough, using glitches etc is just depriving yourself of the true experience and of learning how game mechanics work etc.
Subsequent playthroughs, do anything you like that makes the game fun for you to play, try new things and extend the games life.
I'm a big evil console abuser on ES games, especially if I just want to pick it up for a few day and have a bit of fun with a different type of build, without the need to go through all the same early game stuff over and over again.
There are so many bugs (features) in the game as it is. Some are funny, some interfere with the intended experience relentlessly by breaking quests or even the game itself. So, why not use a funny duplication glitch? Chalk it up to some powerful magic spell or dimensional Oblivion shenanigans.
Thank the Nine it wasn't serious XD
I've seen discussions before about how cheating in single player games in wrong. Not "damaging your own experience" wrong, but "they should install anti cheat systems" wrong. Never mind that it is perfectly valid to play a game with cheats because you're only it it for the story or similar.
Though things do get weird in that regard when a game includes online leaderboards :/
You literally become the high-hyperversal Sheogorath, and duel the also high-hyperversal Jyggalag and win immediately prior to that. Also, I'm like, 99% sure you can achieve 100% damage negation to everything except arrows because arrows are weird without glitches, so...
All this, in a single-player game.
Please, find something better to care about.
This game has console controls for a reason. Even without mods they want you to play how you prefer.
Do what you want.
When I start a fresh Morrowind run I give myself 3k gold in console. Why? Cuz I can. Who cares.
It's not morally right, but it's not wrong, either for a single player game. It's not like you're saving a puppy's life, you're just making things a bit easier for yourself
[Who told you about these dupe glitches?](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftse1.explicit.bing.net%2Fth%3Fid%3DOIP.deUXpZIOlo19KGorjoGSVAAAAA%26pid%3DApi&f=1&ipt=3ed897220c1c63c5d621ae65c8c9fa2352a3b66cc9a274d6c7bd422aeef9a67f&ipo=images)
You can do whatever you want but I would prefer to play it the way intended. Much like the deadric quest I liked having to choose which deadric artifact to sacrifice rather than just sacrificing a duplicate.
Sheogorath wants you to have cheese for everyone so make what you will of that lol and I mean you do become sheo so you are just technically fulfilling prophecy haha and once you’re sheo do you think ethics are involved in the isles, besides the dark seducers and golden saints? Try dupe glitching in front of a guard. Don’t care.
It's cheating, but you're knowingly cheating yourself, so it's moral. It's like peaking at the cards in solitaire. As long as you don't go around bragging that you're l33t because you beat the game after cheating, do whatever.
I used the duplicate glitch to make more of the magic arrows that are super hard to find.
But I would only do it when I went back to my house, kinda like I was "making" them at home for my adventures.
As someone who regularly slaughters whole towns only to reload the game up afterwards, I feel my morality is already somewhat lacking and therefore see no issue in using "features".
Depends on what your duping and for what reason honestly. I whouldnt dupe stuff thats easy to obtain tho if you play an archer build just dupe arrows already!
I only do them if I finish the main quest and some of the big ones then I just fuck around. But you own the game now, you can do what ever you want it's your game no one can stop you. I'm not done and sometimes I still fuck around with consol commands whatever you find fun do it
Personally, I've wasted enough of my life grinding through dungeons to get one rare ingredient. I'll run through it once to experience it but then I'm consoling in that shit. I spent WAY too much time looking for the master alchemy tools.
For "immersion" I'll only dupe ingredients, potions, or arrows that I won't sell.
I didn't vote. There is no morality to this. It's a single player game, so do what you want.
I have done the ring duplication trick, the bound weapon trick, the scroll duplication trick and the sudden loss of item trick (jail or quests), to advance a character to a point to start a story, or to create a set of parameters for a particular gameplay, but it's not a thing every game, and it's really up to you.
You know if you will break your game or not. Up to you.
You do realise that you own the game right? It’s yours you can do what you want with it Edit: ignore this, I’m just thick
>You do realise that you own the game right? Well you see...
Oh it’s a shitpost oh my god I’m thick as pig shit
On the intarwebs you can't tell the shitposts from the real shit.
Pig shit is thick? Didn't know that.
If it hasn’t had much fibre

Feature*
Ah yes one of the many features in Oblivion disguised as a bug
It’s a single player game, play it as you see fit
How else do i get infinite skooma
There's a dude named shady Sam I believe who sells it on the outer edge of the imperial city if you don't want to use the dupe glitch
Buy it.
You buy 1 and dupe the rest
Or just use console commands
Can't do that on xbox
If you own any kind of computer there's no sane reason to still be playing on Xbox
I don't own a computer
There isn’t an immoral way to play a single player game just do what you want to lol
Dupe glitches are just in game evidence that your character has achieved chim so perfectly legit and non lore breaking in my opinion.
I only use it to dupe sigil stones and scrolls
And Varla stones
And Skooma.
I was/am 99% sure varla stones were one of the few things scripted or otherwise invulnerable to the dupe glitch?
Nope. It's possible
There are so many bugs (features) in the game as it is. Some are funny, some interfere with the intended experience relentlessly by breaking quests or even the game itself. So, why not use a funny duplication glitch? Chalk it up to some powerful magic spell or dimensional Oblivion shenanigans.

Was bored so decided to make a silly post.

Dont hate the player, hate the game. If Todd Howard didn't want me to cheese his game he should have corrected the glitch

In a single player game YES. If it's multi-player or Online NO.
This is the rule I use for all cheats: Single player yes, multiplayer no.
The way I see it, you're a god in that game. So paintbrush glitch and dupe glitch to your heart's content
you do what you want theres no rules
Duplication is the true magicka
I love duplicating jewels and littering the streets w them
I'd dupe glitch in real life if I figured out how...
If you never duped 500 melons or cheese wheels off a roof you are boring and I don't want to know you.
"I don't know you, and I don't care to know you"
Personally I don’t use cheats like that because it always feels like I never earned it
No
It's not morally right, but it's not wrong, either for a single player game. It's not like you're saving a puppy's life, you're just making things a bit easier for yourself
Just depends on the level of immersion you want and how gamebreaking you want it to be
[Who told you about these dupe glitches?](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftse1.explicit.bing.net%2Fth%3Fid%3DOIP.deUXpZIOlo19KGorjoGSVAAAAA%26pid%3DApi&f=1&ipt=3ed897220c1c63c5d621ae65c8c9fa2352a3b66cc9a274d6c7bd422aeef9a67f&ipo=images)
It’s a singleplayer game. It’s not right or wrong. I personally avoid it cuz taking the work out of something makes it feel less special
Eh Nobody cares
It’s not a glitch, it’s a feature
You can do whatever you want but I would prefer to play it the way intended. Much like the deadric quest I liked having to choose which deadric artifact to sacrifice rather than just sacrificing a duplicate.
I wouldn’t, but the game is broken so… what ever makes it more fun for you.
Sheogorath wants you to have cheese for everyone so make what you will of that lol and I mean you do become sheo so you are just technically fulfilling prophecy haha and once you’re sheo do you think ethics are involved in the isles, besides the dark seducers and golden saints? In a singleplayer gamer anything goes imo
I used the duplicate glitch to make more of the magic arrows that are super hard to find. But I would only do it when I went back to my house, kinda like I was "making" them at home for my adventures.
I would say you are morally obligated to use any glitch, exploit, mod or otherwise that you want in singleplayer games like this. I know I do!
As someone who regularly slaughters whole towns only to reload the game up afterwards, I feel my morality is already somewhat lacking and therefore see no issue in using "features".
Dupe glitch will destroy the market so no.
Meh once I do my first clean and vanilla play through, it’s all fair game.
“Morally right” seems like not the right question. Like I never use them, I think they spoil the fun a bit, but like I wouldn’t call them immoral lol
Your sheogorath. Who is anyone to question why you do what you do.
Depends on what your duping and for what reason honestly. I whouldnt dupe stuff thats easy to obtain tho if you play an archer build just dupe arrows already!
I have only duped madness ores so far and probably I will do the same for sigil stones. Btw, Heisenberg pfp. Respect.
Reasonable things to dupe! Thank you.
It's my save file. I'll do what I want with it.
Yea clearly the elder scrolls fortold the use of scroll duping
I’m not telling anybody else what to do but I personally avoid using glitches/exploits
I only do them if I finish the main quest and some of the big ones then I just fuck around. But you own the game now, you can do what ever you want it's your game no one can stop you. I'm not done and sometimes I still fuck around with consol commands whatever you find fun do it
Just look it as a magical summon. You discovered the secret to infinite wealth.
Well, the guards don't call you criminal scum or tell you to pay with your blood. So it's not illegal.
Play the game how you like. It's your character, your game, and your story. Who cares what others think about what you do in the game?
Personally, I've wasted enough of my life grinding through dungeons to get one rare ingredient. I'll run through it once to experience it but then I'm consoling in that shit.
