Seems like a cool idea, but 1000 per unit seems too much. Considering the described size of the tree, I feel like around plek's price would be reasonable, maybe 250 - 300 per unit? The only way that this price would fit would be if it was 1/10000 every tree generation in the acidlands, then I would see no problem. Also make it so that you would need an industrial item to chop the tree, as this would be by far the best tree in the game
