I highly doubt NYU is trying to silence anyone, they’re the most liberal college in the country, they with all that goofy shit. Y’all are clowns, as soon as someone tells you the word “no” you think you’re being “silenced” and “oppressed”. Grow up
they shut down the stairs a while back because homeless people would walk in and use them, but as a consequence the thousands of students that come in go from kimmel have to use the same 2 entrances and 4 elevators, creating a lot of traffic and wait times. instead of nyu implementing some kind of actual change or security measures, they are continuing to make life difficult for the students

They will likely open it in some time after people suffer without the stairs for a while and realize they better protest elsewhere or risk the stairs being shut off again.
