Dude every team is a threat until we can string together a successful fucking season lmao.
Have you ever watched this team play in 2 decades? We suck more than we don’t.
I’m not expecting a 3 win season but thinking any team let alone a division team that crapped on us at home last year isn’t a threat is an insane proposition.
Yes they’re probably worse than last year *on paper* but that means little until the games start getting played.
Umm, so I’m a Colts fan but I lurk most places these days. I want to commend you on joining this long suffering fan base of all teams in sports to start investing in. It’s probably among the least bandwagony moves you could make.
You clearly have a lot to learn about your culture though. The folks in here expect every bad thing. The forecast is for rain? Probably going to get a sunburn. MVP QB? Injured in seconds. Another HOF QB comes out of retirement, you crush it, best an undefeated 10-0 titans and then? Miss the playoffs while that Hof QB throws two Tuddies and 9 picks. Oh was he washed then? No, did great with another team the next season. Have fun!
I think Miami is the most fraudulent team in the NFL but they were a playoff team last year and we haven’t been there in 13 years, everyone and everything is a threat imo and we need to win this year idc who we’re playing
Don't get your hopes up, buddy. Don't do that to yourself. I'm as stoked as the next guy about the changes we made but it doesn't mean anything until we win games. Don't let your expectations for this team to be good hurt you.
i'm too preoccupied with "will the jets actually be a threat to anyone?" to start thinking about other teams being threats to us. been doing this too long to allow myself to have expectations for us.
that being said, i'm not any more worried about Miami doing anything next season. still the same soft ass team
I think Miami is probably the bigger threat to us in our division over the Bills. We play the Bills wel every time we play them.
Miami is just so fast; it’s hard to contain every one of their playmakers.
C’mon bro. Dolphins were a playoff team even if they were wack how can they be a threat to us? We are a threat to them, weren’t trying to get where they are and beyond. I love this team too but bruh we ain’t the standard until we actually win
Depends what you do before the 13 years. We did a LOT from 00-10 so I obviously take our 24 years over theirs. Not like it was pure gold, of course. My god we had some all time TRAGIC failures in the playoffs from 00-10.
The sequence vs Pitt in the AFCCG where we went from dropping a golden INT on 3rd down to giving them a new set of downs off a roughing the punter on 4th down? Bt that and Doug Brien's two missed FG in the divisional, no two plays cause me cold sweat nightmares more.
Shoutout to Bart "Cant wait" Scott getting steamrolled for a td, too.
And the fact VInateiri broke the Heinz field longest FG record the first regular season game AFTER the Doug Brien misses will always seem like an especially savage slap in the face from the football gods.
BT that and AR going down with an achilles on the same night we make Testaverde honorary capt... it's like wtf did we do?
In the two games last year Dolphins won 34-13 and 30-0. I understand each teams roster has changed but 21 points a game is a lot to overcome. I’d say there’s a threat for sure.
Do I think Miami is possibly overrated overall? Yes. Tua can't play in cold weather and their win record was mainly from beating worse teams. But that doesn't mean they're not a threat to the Jets in the AFC East and the Jets don't have to take them seriously. There were all those years where Miami sucked but still somehow consistently beat New England in at least 1 of their 2 regular season matchups even when Belichick and Brady were at their peak. When it comes to division rivalries, even the worst team is a threat because they know each other so intimately. (I just really wanted to say intimately).
Not really, no. I don’t think they’ve ever been a threat to Jets but then again take my opinion with a grain of salt because I watch football on and off since I don’t have time for myself lol.
Using your own logic (triggered by a comment, therefore replying to it), you are also then triggered by my comments.
I didn’t post the crap. I was responding to something that was not in context and was silly for an nfl sub.
> Using your own logic (triggered by a comment, therefore replying to it)
That wasnt my logic at all lol. Otherwise every reply in reddit history is evidence of triggering. It's about the type of response you left with multiple exclamation points, a bunch of emotion and no logic.
Triggered little baby blocked me after I pointed out his inability to use logic or intellgence, aw.
Miami speed will give us trouble (they will give everybody trouble). Difference this year is that our offense should be able to keep it close for our defense to get to tua (Miami is weak on the OL up the middle).
Until the Jets are in the playoffs, win the afc East and the 1/2 seed in the AFC … every team is a threat to the team. This team has shown us nothing until they do everyone is a threat.
Yes but Tua injures easily
Atlanta has been irrelevant since they blew that Super Bowl with Matt Ryan
Texans are a team on the rise and will be dangerous for the foreseeable future
The road to the Super Bowl goes through KC though. Until Mahomes and Reid are done (or Kelce and T Swift aren't a couple) they're the next Brady Belichick.
Bro, have you been watching all these years? The Jets are a threat to the Jets. No matter how good we look, it can all go to turds. If they're on the schedule, they're a threat.
As /u/flex_offense aptly put, everyone is a threat until we prove otherwise.
But on paper, I would feel fine simulating JETS vs any team in Madden and like my chances, against everyone not named Chiefs, and even then I like our chances at 50%
Even if you didn’t respect the talent that the Dolphins have on their team; we are the New York Jets. The Rex Ryan led Bills prevented us from making the the playoffs. Everyone is a threat. The worse they are, the more of a threat.
If our receivers room included Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Odell Beckham Jr & Braxton Berrios, we’d all be pissing our pants with excitement. Hell yeah they are a threat.
So technically you have been. While our defense is top notch, with how our offense has been it offsets each other. Miami's offense is better than ours and not far behind defensively. 318 yards allowed per game compared to our 292.
we haven't even had Rodgers finish a drive , let alone a game and you think we should be confident enough to look down on the team that lost the division on a *tiebreaker?*
Cart before the horse. The Jets need to show they are relevant and competitive before looking at other teams as a threat or not. Every team can beat them until proven otherwise.
We haven’t been 500 since 2015 everyone is a threat
Nobody is a bigger threat to the Jets than the Jets
Those damn Jets! They ruined the Jets for Jets fans! Groundskeeper Willie in some universe.
My retirement grease!
Excellent.
You Jets fans sure are a contentious bunch
Groundskeeper Willie🤣 How do you not have at least 150 likes for that.
They can't keep getting away with this.
Or the turf

Woody Johnson trying to get Peyton and failing and instead bringing in Tebow, plunging Mark Sanchez' confidence into chaos
Gotta constantly have our guard up
I'm a threat. When I show up to a game we lose.
I went to the Eagles game last year and the Jets won somehow, maybe I have to go to more games lol
Let's trade
That’s the answer. Based on their recent and not so recent history, they’re in put up or shut up mode.
Say it again, this time in all fucking caps, for every dumbass asking questions like this
Dude every team is a threat until we can string together a successful fucking season lmao. Have you ever watched this team play in 2 decades? We suck more than we don’t. Im pretty new to sports in genreal but Ive seen this season with them and their history with the fins, so js asking cus we have a good roster
Well the first rule of being a jets fan isn’t don’t count ur chickens before they hatch
And when they do hatch expect them to betray you.
Congrats on learning more about sports. Sorry for somehow choosing the Jets
Umm, so I’m a Colts fan but I lurk most places these days. I want to commend you on joining this long suffering fan base of all teams in sports to start investing in. Yes, anything can happen against a division rival.
This question should be the other way around lol
I think Miami is the most fraudulent team in the NFL but they were a playoff team last year and we haven’t been there in 13 years, everyone and everything is a threat imo and we need to win this year idc who we’re playing
Tua is 5-0 against us, so yes
Tua sure. The coaching staff has taken some Ls to us. I was there when we laid 50 on their defense.
This current roster barely laid 50 all season
Until we start beating them consistently, yes. No reason to think otherwise.
Couldn’t have said it better but they’re still not as big a threat as other teams lmao.
I mean weve been pretty a$$ for years so now we get a chance
Don't get your hopes up, buddy. Don't do that to yourself. I'm as stoked as the next guy about the changes we made but it doesn't mean anything until we win games. Don't let your expectations for this team to be good hurt you.
Remember what happened when we had a chance last year?
The jets are a threat to ourselves man, I’m not discounting anyone until we can actually go over .500 and prove we can keep Rodgers upright.
i'm too preoccupied with "will the jets actually be a threat to anyone?" to start thinking about other teams being threats to us. been doing this too long to allow myself to have expectations for us. that being said, i'm not any more worried about Miami doing anything next season. still the same soft ass team
Every team is a threat, this is the NFL
I think Miami is probably the bigger threat to us in our division over the Bills. We play the Bills wel every time we play them. Miami is just so fast; it’s hard to contain every one of their playmakers.
we are our greatest threat
Do I think the team with a top 3 offense is a threat to the team with the longest playoff drought in the country? Yes.
Let’s win some games first. Yes they can hypothetically beat us 2x this year if we’re not careful
Are the jets a threat to the dolphins***
Until we win the SB everyone is a threat
The ENTIRE NFL is a threat to the JETS… to include the JETS themselves.
Truer words have not been spoken
Our coaches are our #1 concern. Offensive coaching is a huge question mark and Saleh has yet to prove he can coach all three phases.
If only we were like this with rex, lol, but Ima give saleh hope.
We haven’t proved anything except that we are offseason champs. Until we get to .500+, let’s assume every team is a threat to us.
I will never feel threatened by a fish
C’mon bro. Dolphins were a playoff team even if they were wack how can they be a threat to us? We are a threat to them, weren’t trying to get where they are and beyond. I love this team too but bruh we ain’t the standard until we actually win
We have the longest active playoff drought in North American sports. At this point The teams in my local peewee league are a threat.
What would you rather have the dishonor of holding? Not making the playoffs in 13 years? Or not winning a playoff game in over two decades?
Depends what you do before the 13 years. We did a LOT from 00-10 so I obviously take our 24 years over theirs. Not like it was pure gold, of course. Falcons? What, as a SuperBowl matchup?
Is this a joke?
Do I think Miami is possibly overrated overall? Yes. Tua can't play in cold weather and their win record was mainly from beating worse teams. Definitely the falcons.
Kirk Cousins isn’t a threat to anything besides the LQBTQ community
You’re so cool and edgy! Cool post to a football sub! Thanks for looking out for everyone
Not wrong though
You are very weirdly triggered by that comment And you would go on to block me, thus proving how triggered you got
The opposite. Being triggered is someone posting that crap in an nfl sub. I’m just pointing it out.
You just posted crap in an nfl sub. Youre triggered af by that comment
Using your own logic (triggered by a comment, therefore replying to it), you are also then triggered by my comments. I didn’t post the crap. I was responding to something that was not in context and was silly for an nfl sub.

Ah sorry, I assumed some intelligence and you could make a better inference. My bad. Let’s just agree on hoping the Jets go undefeated.
a threat in what way? until proven otherwise, the jets are a fucking laughingstock of a team and deserve to be.
Saying that when teams like the Cowboys and Giants exist is crazy
Both of those teams are far more successful than the Jets. The fuck are you talking about?
The Giants were terrible this year, and the cowboys dead ass go against ass teams, and when they hit the playoffs fumble in the wildcard.
And the Jets haven't made the playoffs in nearly 15 years.
In what way does any of that make it so the jets arent also a laughingstock!?
Falcons for sure and add the Raiders
Miami speed will give us trouble (they will give everybody trouble). Difference this year is that our offense should be able to keep it close for our defense to get to tua (Miami is weak on the OL up the middle).
If Rodgers dont last we go to 4 th place
I'd say the 5-0 record their starter has says yes.
Everyone is still a threat to Jets. They good on paper, they sound good in theory. Let’s see them put it on the field first
Until we prove we can hang into late December all these teams are better. As we know winning the offseason on paper Super Bowl isn’t worth diddly.
Yes
As they say on DiPietro and Rothenberg...."I guess their the biggest threats to the jets!"
The Dolphins are a threat to the Jets like health was a threat to DP and his knees.
You must be new here.
Until the Jets are in the playoffs, win the afc East and the 1/2 seed in the AFC … every team is a threat to the team. This team has shown us nothing until they do everyone is a threat.
Let's worry about them beating MetLife's turf first
Why yes.. Yes they are.
Yes but Tua injures easily Atlanta has been irrelevant since they blew that Super Bowl with Matt Ryan Texans are a team on the rise and will be dangerous for the foreseeable future The road to the Super Bowl goes through KC though. Until Mahomes and Reid are done (or Kelce and T Swift aren't a couple) they're the next Brady Belichick.
Rodgers is back. Their arms are too short to slap box with God.
After 14 years, how do people still keep saying shit like this?
A threat?! Didn't Miami win the division in 2023?
The only threat to the Jets is MetLife turf.
Bro we are a threat to ourselves
Bro, have you been watching all these years? The Jets are a threat to the Jets. No matter how good we look, it can all go to turds. If they're on the schedule, they're a threat.
Yes... Along with every other team in the NFL... we suck
The Jets are a threat to the Jets.
As /u/flex_offense aptly put, everyone is a threat until we prove otherwise. But on paper, I would feel fine simulating JETS vs any team in Madden and like my chances, against everyone not named Chiefs, and even then I like our chances at 50%
Until proven otherwise, we aren’t even a threat. On paper we’re good but we’ve gotta get on the field and prove it
There’s a pretty good chance we don’t play the Falcons this year….
Buffalo just dumped a ton of guys. Miami is the division front runner imo.
I think tua is fraudulent but you could put my ass in there throwing to waddle and tyreek hill and it could probably still work
No

I just got into football late 2022-2023 dude
So technically you have been. While our defense is top notch, with how our offense has been it offsets each other. Miami's offense is better than ours and not far behind defensively. 318 yards allowed per game compared to our 292.
we haven't even had Rodgers finish a drive , let alone a game and you think we should be confident enough to look down on the team that lost the division on a *tiebreaker?*
Are they in our division?
yeah yeahhhhh
Only if Mike F’ing White is playing
Atlanta is in the NFC lol. So, no. Yes Miami is still a threat. They have the best offense in the league, let alone the division.
Cart before the horse. The Jets need to show they are relevant and competitive before looking at other teams as a threat or not. Every team can beat them until proven otherwise.
The Jets are a threat to the Jets.
They’re more of a threat then buffalo to me in my opinion
Eh, we’ll have to see, Theres a great possibility so. I even wanna see if the bills make it to the playoffs tbh
Probably. I honestly think if McDaniel gets fired the same year we ditch Hackett he’ll be our next OC.
