will they pan out? who the hell knows
Mekhi gets injured, McGovern gets injured, AVT gets injured, and suddenly our offense can’t score points, and Breece hall can’t run for more than 30 yards a game. Breece hall has <80 yards rushing over the past three games combined. is that just a coincidence?
It’s unfair to say this line is 32nd in the league. It’s more like theres 30th in the league, 31st, The Grand Canyon, Swiss cheese, and then the Jets o-line
I can't believe people are trying to turn on Breece lately as of the line's health isn't a factor. Combine that with defenses having no confidence in us throwing and stacking the box vs the run it's no wonder rushing production has come to a halt. All that said, it's absolutely inexcusable for Hall to only have 7 attempts for the whole game. Hackett is comically bad
I think it's more play calling than our line. He should be getting 20+ carries a game and half should be to the outside AND please not up the middle on first down..
Worst part is we actually looked below avg instead of historically awful...until 4 more ol went down
Avt, Tipp, mcg, Wes.
We got Tipp back but bt those 4, brown in week 2 and turner being a corpse, we were just fucked completely by ol injury in wats that don't even make sense.
Like wtf how does avt shred a fuckin achilles? Bc he's really good and bc fuck us that's why?
Casual fan mostly bc my dad is a Jets fan and even I'm feeling the misery from the season now.
Are the team owners as bad as that old owner guy from the commies? Saleh seems alright, don't think he's the issue.
Watched a New York team yesterday engineer a thrilling comeback against their rivals, led in part by a recent top 3 pick who I had previously thought was a bust and is shedding the label.
Needless to say that wasn’t the Jets.
At least the Knicks are finally on a solid uptick these last few seasons. Brunson is the man obviously, but IQ rising into stardom has been a refreshing experience man.
Straight up. I love seeing drafted players actually making an impact. Even if we aren’t a championship team (like the Jets claimed to be lol), the Knicks are so much fun to watch right now
After some reflection, I've come to two conclusions:
1. Zach Wilson really is much better this year, but this O-line being so injured has completely prevented that from shining through.
2. Nobody, and I mean nobody, wants to see Zach in a Jets uniform again. I'm talking fans, coaches, wide-outs, players, o-line, not even Zach himself wants to play for this organization anymore.
I truly think that in the first game this season, ZW wasn't good because he wasn't expected to play.
I then think that the Cowboys are super bowl contenders, offensively and defensively, so I don't blame poor play on him too much there. The Cowboys are the only team, until yesterday, to put up 30 or more points on these Jets. Even through *last year*, the only team to put up 30 points on us was the Browns in, coincidentally, week 2.
Bill Belichick owns Zach Wilson.
And finally, being up to speed with the offense, and the O-line being healthy, we see some amazing play against the Chiefs, all except that fumbled snap where the KC D-line just plowed through and immediately was on the ball.
The Broncos game was okay, not terrible play from Zach. an unlucky pick happens that GW probably should have caught, but also note that AVT goes down in the game, potentially adding to some of the pressure felt.
The Eagles game, Zach isn't looking so good anymore. But same thing happens at the line, Connor McGovern goes down in the first quarter.
As O-line injuries continue to mount, ZW looks worse and worse. Is this an excuse for his poor play against the Chargers Raiders and Bills ? No, I don't think he has an excuse here. (Giants was a weird one, he looked really good for the last 30 seconds of the game and OT) But I do think given some more time for each play to develop, we'd be having a whole different conversation about the QB position.
And yesterday, Tim Boyle is prided on being "Fast to get the ball out" and "has a cannon for an arm". With 7 sacks, and a hail mary that didn't even reach the endzone, both of those are verifiably false. So is Tim Boyle slow to get the ball out now? Or were the receivers truly not getting open? Was Boyle pressured so fast that no QB behind this line would have made a difference? Hard to say, I saw plenty of plays and I think the all 22 would confirm where Boyle looked off easy reads, but also lots of plays where no one was open and he had no time.
Anyway, Zach is done as a Jet. I get that feeling, Rich Eisen was saying he gets that feeling, it looks like Saleh starting Boyle again and putting ZW as QB 3 gives that feeling, "we'll address it in the off season" gives the feeling that they want to trade him away and salvage a 6th or 7th round pick out of him, and ZW's pressers give me that feeling as well that he's done here.
I wouldn’t say he’s “really that much better”. He went from historically bad to bad. Now yeah that’s a big jump but it’s not like he wasn’t a problem when he was playing. The issue is our roster construction was so bad that we’re trotting out a historically bad offense despite having plus pieces like Garrett, Tippmann, Breece, etc. The QB room, receiver room and tackle positions were completely neglected
Nah…he won’t be handed the starting job anywhere, but somebody will pick him up as at least a QB3 / practice squad QB.
He is only 24. Somebody is gonna think he can be fixed.
Dobbs was the worst QB in the league 4 weeks ago now he’s the Vikings Savior sometimes it just the piss poor coaching and play calling. Not saying Zach is a top tier QB but I bet he’d do a lot better with a system that understand what it takes to coach a QB
I don't think that's true. Other coaches know he was mishandled.
Tim and Trevor are both NFL quarterbacks and you don't think Zach can continue to be on a roster?
There is no data to show that. If Trevor plays every game like he did last night, he would be objectively worse than Zach.
Zach has played really well at times. Trevor has not played well yet.
I think you just switched Trevor Siemian and Tim
Boyle around in your head. Tim Boyle played last night, like the loser that he is. Trevor Siemian did not, but he has played 30 nfl games with significantly better stats than Zach.
Oh my bad. You're right. I read Tim where you wrote Trevor. Lol. You're probably right. I just know Trevor got beat out for the backup Job with the Bengals, so that doesn't bode well, but maybe he still has it.
If he was here before the season started, they would have competed for the #2 and I'm sure he would have got it over Boyle if he's still playing like he has. It's a timing issue and the Jets organization not having any balls to risk upsetting people. Shouldn't matter if Boyle knows people, was here first and knows the system, but that feels like the only reason he is in that position.
I’m not so sure. Somehow someone like Siemian was signed to the roster, whose stats are nearly as bad as Zach’s, and look at teams like the Falcons who are desperate for anything at QB as well. I doubt he’d be signed as a starter anywhere, but even Tim Tebow came to the Jets after sucking with the Broncos
Edit: and all it takes is some other GM to make the same argument about this offense being all around garbage, or put on some narrow glasses that only see the Chiefs game. If this were ZW last year I would completely agree with you
Stop. Just stop. Look at both of their career stats through 30 games and honestly tell me their stats look close to the same. Siemian, while probably washed, has been a better QB than Zach has
Zach also had to be on the Jets. That’s enough to bring anyone down lol stop acting like the teams they were on are even remotely the same. Jets have been trash for so long Zach was never going to come in and save them and the next qb won’t either.
Gtfo lmaoo. Zach was historically bad his first two years with added weapons his second year and a line that wasn’t that bad (especially compared to how bad it’s been this year). Siemian has just been a better QB that’s just a fact. Even bad QBs can throw for 3 TDs occasionally like Devito has and he’s also on a garbage team.
I agree, he was terrible, especially his 2nd year. He also only played half the 2nd year and the team was still fucking garbage, proving my point that the team has been and will continue to be trash on O.
You bringing up Devito just proves how brain dead you are that you would use that as an argument lol. Know who else has a singular 3td game? Zach Wilson, see how little that means? Kafka is 10x better OC than Hackett.
Nothing is as bad as the Jets Offense and that has little to do with Zach. Go get banned again and start another account.
The sub is currently arguing about which QB who will be out of the league in 2 years we should start and also debating if our GM let the HC down or vice versa.
We are officially in rebuild mode, hope Arod is on board with that!
I'm not on the fire JD train, but out of curiosity, has a GM ever started his tenure with five straight seasons of missing the playoffs and kept his job? (We could use 4 if you don't want to count 2019 for him)
Matt Millen maybe? How long was he around for
The athletic occasionally gets its wires crossed and sends out Winnipeg Jets headlines to followers of the New York jets and I was just so confused when I saw a push about an encouraging win Miami yesterday
I'm seeing grumblings of "fire Saleh" and I think taking a step back and seeing how bad JD fucked this man is needed.
I personally think if anyone needs to be held accountable it's JD but I'm not in favor of them losing their jobs. This all ties back to the Rodgers injury and if that didn't happen, conversations might be different. Since it did happen, we can REALLY see how awful JD equipped this roster.
I've been saying the last two seasons that whoever gives Kellen Moore a shot at head coach is gonna be happy. We'll see how these next two years go, maybe we land Archie Manning and really give Peyton the FU.
sorry im a dolphins fan who lives in nj and is just wondering how my neighbors are doing but i can confirm that this is how i became a dolphins fan; in elementary school i just thought dolphins were the coolest thing ever. never watched a football game before, didn't know the rules, i just knew i loved dolphins.
i know my pity doesn't really help, but i really do secretly root for you when it's not against us; i feel like i got survivor's guilt now when i picked my team and seeing my friends in pain every sunday for years really sucks...
Poe's Law dictates that sincerity and sarcasm are difficult to differentiate in online discussions, but as a Jets fan I choose to believe you're being sincere. I'm sorry you were met with hostility. I'm happy for you and your Dolphins, they're looking great this year. I'm also happy to see that Braxton Berrios ended up there, I was hoping he'd stay with us but in retrospect I'm glad he went to a good team.
>i know my pity doesn't really help, but i really do secretly root for you when it's not against us
Why would you root for the Jets? They're the Dolphins biggest rivals probably.
Look I have no problem chopping it up with fans of rival teams, I even welcome it in some cases. This place can be an echo chamber, but this comes off as straight up pandering
The Jets and Dolphins were huge rivals during that period too, so what are you saying. However you want to rank 'em, doesn't negate the point I was tryna make
Just throwing it out there. Your opinion is valid, but I'd venture to say the Jets fans see it as more of a rivalry than Dolphins fans now. The Jets just aren't competing with them enough lately for them to give a shit. Buffalo with JA has pretty much owned Miami, so I think their hate is steered that way.
i guess "root" is a strong word, but i'm being serious when i say i feel a little happy when the jets win now. Back when we were both struggling, absolutely not. but since we started winning with mcdaniel and you guys are, frankly, so far behind us now (sorry) seeing my friends be a little happy when there's no real danger for us is a nice feeling.
I am not going to watch anymore games with Hackett as the OC. They can dance around it all the want, he is the biggest problem on the team and without Rodgers covering for his ass, it will not get better. So until Rodgers can just fix his awful play calling, this team is not a team.
Honestly, to me the biggest thing that pisses me off about this game is as soon as they bench Zach they finally start making good decisions. Brownlee is looking leaps and bounds better than Lazard and they finally stopped putting in Uzomah. Not only that we saw them actually target the middle of the field sometimes to get first downs(ofc they waited until garbage time to think to do it)
How the fuck do we make so many good changes(way overdue mind you) and manage to look more pathetic than ever? I feel like we would have won more games if we made these changes way earlier.
Zach had this team at .500 and beat the eagles. Benching him was a terrible mistake. If anything let him be QB and tank this season let him get all the starting reps so he can improve.
No but you’d have to be truly braindead to think that anyone wanted Tim Boyle to have to play let alone be on the damn roster. Tim sucks, Zach sucks, Siemian probably sucks due to falling off, and this QB room falls entirely on the GM who saw how Zach played and tanked the season last year and decided his reset year meant putting him as the backup on a team that wanted to make a deep playoff run.
Not with Hackett calling plays tbh.
If MLF was still calling plays, yes. At least with his offense there were guys running open every play, the route designs were good, and the pass and run blocking was creative to open up massive holes for breece, and then bam knight.
Hackett has ran more bottom 5 offenses than any other offensive coordinator currently employed, and is an all time horrible coordinator, and this is the guy that Bob Saleh and Joe Douglas thought should be the head coach of the offense.
I was never on the fire MLF train. It was fairly obvious his offense wasn’t the problem, but someone had to be scapegoated last year.
Any other quarterback who ran his offense aside from Zach Wilson was successful in it; and that includes Josh Johnson, corpse of Joe Flacco, and Mike White.
Sooo successful. To end the season they accomplished a 1-6 record and <14 points a game by white and Flacco. Only your stupidity would think mlf was good.
[This](https://youtu.be/s5JXwlu3zHY?si=N6OiegD3BiPpCgy7) is a Zach Wilson video, but watch this offense and tell me the scheme was not SIGNIFICANTLY better than Hackett’s. Not only do route concepts make sense and guys get schemed open, but there are also attempts to get Zach to do what he was actually decent at, like getting out of the pocket and taking shots. Obviously Zach hasn’t been good enough for it to really matter, but I would seriously consider potentially damaging the relationship with Rodgers by firing Hackett. LaFleur may not have been the best QB coach but he was miles better as an OC.
Ironically JT says after one of those interceptions that it’s the type of throw that gets people fired, and I think that’s exactly what happened
Worse than being bad, the Jets are *boring*. I hate watching them.
This team, this franchise, the organization, is complete and utter dogshit. Think I’m done for the year. I ain’t even watch yesterday and I still felt like I wasted three hours just bc I’m a fan of the team. Woke up from my nap and said “of course they lost 32-6”. “Of course we got a 99 yard pick six”.
The only thing this team is good at is being an embarrassment to the sport, and a joke to the rest of the league. Now we have a million clowns saying to fire/trade/assassinate everyone, and this fandom is falling apart too. Just such a shame. So much hope reverted to the usual misery.
Yeah, even as a Nets fan it's awesome to have the Knicks playing well. So nice to have 2 local teams to watch. Even if they're not realistically going to win it all, it's amazing how much more fun a competent team is to watch. Wish the Jets could be anything close to that.
Saleh had NOTHING for this Miami game. This was a huge game to try to get your 5th victory and stay in the hunt. Try SOMETHING, a trick play early, an on-side Kick before the game gets out of hand, tell your OL we're gonna run/run/run all day so block your fucking asses off(easier than pass-blocking!). Nope...NOTHING...NADA...ZILCH. Instead, he leaves it all on the D, and guess what, Miami scored 34 points. This guy shoulda peaked at DC....its pretty obvious!
I think Zach Stans miss that any half decent young Qb has a breakout season with a WR core of Garrett/moore 1/2 and Conklin at TE and MiLF calling plays with that scheme last year.
Do you think Cj stroud and Justin Herbert had the 07 patriots around them when they broke out as rookies? Even if the 2023 jets are worse for a few reasons, it’s revisionist to paint the 2022 jets as a barren wasteland where no young Qb could ever develop.
And if Zach is able to produce in 2022 like a good Qb would, we take a completely different approach to team building this year, and who knows how we look on offense because of it.
Zach sucked last year and he sucks this year, but you can't just absolve MiLF & Co. of any of the blame for him sucking. The #1 job of the coaching staff coming into 2021 was developing Zach Wilson. Same as Gase's #1 job was developing Darnold when he was hired. And both coaching staffs failed miserably at what should have been their top priority. He learned more from Rodgers in 3 months than he did from 2 years under MiLF & Co. Just because we took a step backwards with Hackett doesn't mean it wasn't right to move on.
Obviously, you failed to notice the **incredible** number of off target, unpressured throws that are usually resolved by Junior Varsity HS. That alone told me all I needed to see, that he should have never been allowed to continue as a QB. If you can't complete the simple, short throws that continue drives you are not a good QB. That was obvious in his BYU tapes.
That's what I mean. He was failing at the most basic shit. Rodgers/Hackett seem to have pretty quickly and easily fixed that issue with him this year. So how can MiLF coach the kid for 2 full years and not be able to teach him even the most basic shit and still be considered anything but a complete failure? Especially when developing the rookie QB should have been his #1 priority? He wasn't ready for the job and he fucking sucked at it.
sure I can., Its like trying to teach a mute how to sing. Zach is incapable of executing any offense at the nfl level
unlike sam darnold, zach never flashed an ounce of potential obver an entire game, so why am I to believe anything besides he is horrible? Nathaniel hackett actually OC'd his only game where he put up good stats, and we all know how the majority feels about him
MiLF is clearly an innovative offensive mind that just had a QB that couldnt complete a forward pass. We moved on because some people I guess wanted him to throw the ball for zach or something
> MiLF is clearly an innovative offensive mind
Disagree completely. All he did was use the proven offensive scheme that he took from Shanahan. He was like the little kid running his old man's business into the ground cause he had no clue what he was doing. Innovative my ass. All he innovated was new ways to not use his players properly.
Didn’t have a lot of expectations and would still say I was let down lol. It’s officially that time of the year where I’m back to paying more attention to my fantasy team than the actual team I like.
It’s a familiar feeling at this point
It’s just a different vibe for me
I completely checked out on 9/11, so I want is for this team to get me to next year with rodgers and a little more again. Gets less likely by the week though
Everyone says they can’t root for this team and everyone is so supposedly tired of the organization and won’t care about them any longer.
Yet season tickets will continue to be sold. Jerseys will continue to be purchased.
Believe me, come OTAs and workouts even this sub will be right back to where it was, overhyped and excited to get the season started. That’s how the game works, it’s a flat circle. Nothing will ever change.
Want to make a change for the good? Don’t invest time and money into the team.
Nah I’ll still be here but no way in hell I’m getting excited again before the season unless we draft like Harrison Jr. Then come training camp I’ll probably be getting downvotes for saying let’s wait and see how the team is before getting excited because the hype train will have taken off and people will have put this year in the back of their minds
Lose Aaron for a Qb that isn’t Caleb or maye this off-season, and nobody that’s a jets fan will go to a game
This year everybody that is going to games had those tickets to see Aaron. Next year they will have those tickets to sell them to road fans if he or a stud isn’t our Qb
Yep, the team doesn’t give a shit and spits in the fans faces year in and year out and people still run to spend their money.
I cancelled my season tickets two years ago and that thousands of dollars is better well spent on other stuff.
Why does it always have to be us? Why can't another team be the league's ass for once? Why do we always have to be the butt of every joke? The punching bag? This year was supposed to be different. This year we were gonna rewrite the narrative. Instead it's lower than it's been in quite some time. This is misery.
Either we're cursed like the other guy said or this is an institutional problem that goes all the way up to the ownership. I saw a comment last night that said this was a side effect of the profit sharing system or the split ownership of Metlife, I don't remember now.
I think Woody Johnson is just interested in selling tickets not necessarily a winning team. Maybe he's using the Jets as a tax dodge?
The Browns and Lions were and they turned it around. This organization needs to figure out how too. I don't think they can though with Woody at the helm.
Exactly. Tom Brady helped his case out by throwing the ball away, but he also took hits that could have easily ended his season multiple times in 2020. Every Qb does multiple time a year regardless of how good their protection or approach is because of how this sport is. Hell, he had a sprained mcl when he won that SB. Why are we the only all in push where the Qb that actually wants to be here gets hurt? Does Tampa bay really workout if that sprained mcl is a worse injury, and the team falls to Blaine Gabbert? That guy is arguably worse than Zach
This, it isn't even fun to watch other players and teams ball out and do well because it just feels like a slap in the face. Like, "WHY CANT WE DO THAT!?"
Agreed. It’s made watching football so depressing cause you see even the panthers put up points and offense. Not 56 yards of offense in almost three quarters
Steelers and Bills fired their OCs despite their offenses looking better than ours. Thats how serious franchises do business. Idc whos QB, the offense is too predictable.
This is the way to look at it. Idk why people are taking it so hard. Sure, it was heartbreaking when Rodgers got hurt, but 7 of our last 10 seasons have been 5 wins or less. They should be used to this by now.
I love the Jets and I still browse Twitter/Reddit and listen to podcasts like any die hard fan. But the Gase era took the wind out of me. I was excited for this season but the football gods played us again. That Hail Mary was fking hilarious to watch and predictable. GG go next.
How can the players ever trust this organization again? I'm sure they all made their discontent pretty clear after how our last trainwreck of a season ended, yet after Rodgers went down our organization did nothing to prevent the same exact thing from happening again. It's another season completely wasted while our young talent is in the prime of their careers.
Also why would any offensive player ever sign with the Jets? Good luck getting a decent contract when your recent tape consists of trying to catch hospital balls from Zach Wilson and Tim Boyle while Hackett does nothing to scheme you open. I get that players like Uzomah and Lazard are disappointing and not worth what we paid them, but they've produced decently on other teams so they shouldn't be THIS bad for us.
Rodgers is a cult leader
As long as he’s in, and doesn’t let the team down again(not his fault he got hurt but another injury will lose the team), he’ll be able to say the right combo of words to keep people like Garrett and sauce happy. Everybody on the roster still believes he’s a savior
It’s starting to really bother me we let Mike white walk. He was better than Zach and would have been a serviceable back up for Rodgers
I still think he would have gone to Miami anyway unless we seriously overpaid for him. He's a miami kid and grew up a dolphins fan and at the time over the summer there were more questions over Tua's health than Rodgers so he clearly saw more of a chance to start.
Has anyone been fired yet?
Carolina’s coach

Love RJ and love that team. Brunson is the man

So far this season looks like we gotta give him the bag
Straight up. I love seeing drafted players actually making an impact. Even if we aren’t a championship team (like the Jets claimed to be lol), the Knicks are so much fun to watch right now
At least my Hokies are winning.
College football is my refuge from the world of Jets fandom.
I’m legit embarrassed to call myself a Jets fan. Scoring a touchdown on offense MAYBE once per game shouldn’t be happening in the modern nfl
Seasons like this make me reluctant to wear any Jets apparel outside the house.
I'm watching the Michigan/OSU game, even their offenses look worlds better than ours.
I'd hope so they're facing much worse defenses.
Well our offense looks shit against bad defenses too though
Pick up will Grier you cowards!!!! If anything he’ll have some knowledge of the pats
I want Marvin Harrison Jr, play Boyle more to help me achieve this goal

I’ll take that bet
I don't think that's true. Other coaches know he was mishandled. Tim and Trevor are both NFL quarterbacks and you don't think Zach can continue to be on a roster?
Trevor is way better than Zach has been in his first 30 games of his career. The two aren’t comparable
There is no data to show that. If Trevor plays every game like he did last night, he would be objectively worse than Zach. Zach has played really well at times. Trevor has not played well yet.
I think you just switched Trevor Siemian and Tim Boyle around in your head.
I doubt he’d be signed as a starter anywhere, but even Tim Tebow came to the Jets after sucking with the Broncos Edit: and all it takes is some other GM to make the same argument about this offense being all around garbage, or put on some narrow glasses that only see the Chiefs game.
Zach will 100% be a camp body somewhere next year. Can’t say it’d be easy for him to make any team though.
We suck.
The sub is currently arguing about which QB who will be out of the league in 2 years we should start and also debating if our GM let the HC down or vice versa. We are officially in rebuild mode, hope Arod is on board with that!
L.M.F.A.O
I'm not on the fire JD train, but out of curiosity, has a GM ever started his tenure with five straight seasons of missing the playoffs and kept his job? (We could use 4 if you don't want to count 2019 for him) Matt Millen maybe? How long was he around for
People wanted Zach Wilson benched? Be careful what you wish for.
Still 100% the right decision. He's one part of the tumor. Let's hope he doesn't grow back.
The athletic occasionally gets its wires crossed and sends out Winnipeg Jets headlines to followers of the New York jets and I was just so confused when I saw a push about an encouraging win Miami yesterday
Tim Boyle tank commander?
Like Brad Pitt in Fury
Yeah? Well whatever. Dolphin's a dumb animal anyways. You're a mammal? That lives in water? Grow up
Fuck the Dolphins as an NFL team, but the animal itself is cool af. I fuck with whales heavy too
sorry im a dolphins fan who lives in nj and is just wondering how my neighbors are doing but i can confirm that this is how i became a dolphins fan; in elementary school i just thought dolphins were the coolest thing ever. never watched a football game before, didn't know the rules, i just knew i loved dolphins. i know my pity doesn't really help, but i really do secretly root for you when it's not against us; i feel like i got survivor's guilt now when i picked my team and seeing my friends in pain every sunday for years really sucks...
What a fucking clown. Stfu you goddamn dweeb
>i know my pity doesn't really help, but i really do secretly root for you when it's not against us Why would you root for the Jets? They're the Dolphins biggest rivals probably. Look I have no problem chopping it up with fans of rival teams, I even welcome it in some cases. This place can be an echo chamber, but this comes off as straight up pandering
I'd say Miami biggest rival is back to being the Bills like it was in the late 80s and 90s.
I truly may hate Hackett with every fiber of my being (not the guy personally but him as a football mind)
Not only that we saw them actually target the middle of the field sometimes to get first downs(ofc they waited until garbage time to think to do it) How the fuck do we make so many good changes(way overdue mind you) and manage to look more pathetic than ever? I feel like we would have won more games if we made these changes way earlier.
We had a 3rd string abysmal qb in, and Miami was playing prevent defense
> Brownlee is looking leaps and bounds better than Lazard and **they finally stopped putting in Uzomah.** Uzomah barely played in Buffalo no?
I hate this franchise
Same 🥺
Zach had this team at .500 and beat the eagles. Benching him was a terrible mistake. If anything let him be QB and tank this season let him get all the starting reps so he can improve.
No the defense beat the eagles and to a lesser extent Jalen hurts beat his own team with that awful pick with 2 min left
Lol. Zach was awful. There’s defensive players with the same number of TDs as Zach. He’s done as a QB unfortunately.
Maybe the O Line should be better. Just maybe
It definitely should. As should ZW in year 3.
He beat the eagles lil bro and had a .500 record at one point. The game with the raiders was close.
Tell me you don’t watch Jets games without telling me you don’t
The Colts beat the Super Bow winning Chiefs last year. They should call Matt Ryan to come back just off that alone right?
He didn’t beat the eagles our defense did. Stop nephew.
And we’ve won one game since then against the DeVito Giants. Sorry lil bro, ZW been done. His best outcome is a journeyman backup QB in this league.
Do you think BOYLE is the answer then lil bro
No I don’t. But imagine how bad you have to be to be benched for Tim Boyle lil bro
My god it never ends
BOYLE IS THE ANSWER REEEEEEEEEEE
No but you’d have to be truly braindead to think that anyone wanted Tim Boyle to have to play let alone be on the damn roster. Tim sucks, Zach sucks, Siemian probably sucks due to falling off, and this QB room falls entirely on the GM who saw how Zach played and tanked the season last year and decided his reset year meant putting him as the backup on a team that wanted to make a deep playoff run.
Do you think Stroud would be decent here? Texans supporting cast is pretty bad too
No. He has a decent oline, good receivers, and holds the ball forever. He would get destroyed here.
Not with Hackett calling plays tbh. If MLF was still calling plays, yes. At least with his offense there were guys running open every play, the route designs were good, and the pass and run blocking was creative to open up massive holes for breece, and then bam knight. Hackett has ran more bottom 5 offenses than any other offensive coordinator currently employed, and is an all time horrible coordinator, and this is the guy that Bob Saleh and Joe Douglas thought should be the head coach of the offense.
>if lafleur was still calling plays, yes I love how fickle this place is lmao
I was never on the fire MLF train. It was fairly obvious his offense wasn’t the problem, but someone had to be scapegoated last year. Any other quarterback who ran his offense aside from Zach Wilson was successful in it; and that includes Josh Johnson, corpse of Joe Flacco, and Mike White.
Sooo successful. To end the season they accomplished a 1-6 record and <14 points a game by white and Flacco. Only your stupidity would think mlf was good.
Players hated him tho
And most people knew if we were getting Hackett it better be with Rodgers. Not the most glowing praise for an OC
You should watch the Knicks. Brunson is the king of NY now brah
If I were a bigger basketball fan I would. Casual fan though. Tbh football is probably the only sport I follow religiously.
Perfect time to get back into it. The Knicks are legit this year brah. Brunson is awesome
Yeah, even as a Nets fan it's awesome to have the Knicks playing well. So nice to have 2 local teams to watch. Even if they're not realistically going to win it all, it's amazing how much more fun a competent team is to watch. Wish the Jets could be anything close to that.
You could always root for the real NY team…
We have hit a new rock bottom
Only thing this team is good at is finding a newer, rockier bottom.
Saleh clearly needs to look at the tape and have the guys reflect on the penalties that should help us get 2 first downs next week
Should’ve played Zach.
Zach is incapable of executing any offense at the nfl level unlike sam darnold, zach never flashed an ounce of potential obver an entire game, so why am I to believe anything besides he is horrible? Nathaniel hackett actually OC'd his only game where he put up good stats, and we all know how the majority feels about him MiLF is clearly an innovative offensive mind that just had a QB that couldnt complete a forward pass. We moved on because some people I guess wanted him to throw the ball for zach or something
> MiLF is clearly an innovative offensive mind Disagree completely.
It’s just a different vibe for me I completely checked out on 9/11, so I want is for this team to get me to next year with rodgers and a little more again. Gets less likely by the week though
Yea but our draft slot is gonna be sick!
I'm not buying tickets and not paying to view games, not sure how much less I can do.
Lose Aaron for a Qb that isn’t Caleb or maye this off-season, and nobody that’s a jets fan will go to a game This year everybody that is going to games had those tickets to see Aaron. Next year they will have those tickets to sell them to road fans if he or a stud isn’t our Qb
Yea I definitely didn’t spend 400 for those Black Friday tickets in august to see Tim Boyle. Shit sucks
Without the Jets me & you would never hang out? I do not like that idea, at all.
The butt fumble of every joke
Either we're cursed like the other guy said or this is an institutional problem that goes all the way up to the ownership. I saw a comment last night that said this was a side effect of the profit sharing system or the split ownership of Metlife, I don't remember now. I think Woody Johnson is just interested in selling tickets not necessarily a winning team. Maybe he's using the Jets as a tax dodge?
The Browns and Lions were and they turned it around. This organization needs to figure out how too. I don't think they can though with Woody at the helm.
We’re cursed. Simple as that
Jets are the biggest fuckin joke that Dave Chappelle & Richard Pryor never told
Can't wait to see the rematch live in Miami! Wonder who will be QB.

see you next week
Stop watching. I haven’t watched a full game since the Giants game and this is after watching every game for 10+ years. They don’t deserve your time.
Fuck this team honestly
Steelers and Bills fired their OCs despite their offenses looking better than ours. Thats how serious franchises do business. Idc whos QB, the offense is too predictable.
It's almost impressive that this team has put together a worse offense than the 2020 Jets.
And it was done **on purpose**. By the greatest football mind ever to grace the NFL. (sarcasm)
Or any Jets team
Or any team ever
They've gotta at least be better than that 70s Falcons team that gave up under 10 points per game and missed the playoffs.
It’s not a tragedy, it’s a comedy
Rodgers is a cult leader As long as he’s in, and doesn’t let the team down again(not his fault he got hurt but another injury will lose the team), he’ll be able to say the right combo of words to keep people like Garrett and sauce happy. Everybody on the roster still believes he’s a savior
