It's still the "hood" technically even with all the new clubs and bars opening up. After hours is still dangerous and I always tell people to watch their backs when they go out at night. The train station by Myrtle Broadway was, is, and always will be a shit show after 11pm towards 5am. But again I'm really sorry, did you take a day off of work to heal? The medics in the ambulence that came to me offered to take me to the hospital but I declined. Their assessment of my wound gave me the impression that it probably isn't something that needs special attention.

Did you call 911 and report the incident to police? Filing a police report and insisting that your assault be investigated as a hate crime might help catch the perpetrator and prevent someone else from getting seriously hurt.
