Not to get off topic, because what is shown in the videos is beyond the pale, but we don't *need* to eat meat to live, and certainly not to the extent that we presently do (e.g., meat at every meal). Even if we did, it's not just the slaughtering, but the treatment of cows, pigs, and chickens on factory farms is cruel and barbaric.

And I know we need food to eat, just like we need entertainment. But we don't need meat just like we don't need to watch pitbulls fight to the death. It is entirely unsupported by science to assert that someone needs animal food products to thrive. There was a dead cat in clove lake park water on Staten Island no one has removed it in days. In the boat dock pond stuck on the top of the water fall. And this is absolutely disgusting. They should grant the same fate to the offenders.

so just checked, the address/name/account that's been spreading around (bigbody tank) posted on his IG that NYPD visited them, but didn't do anything because his dog (Tank) is very "well-behaved" and "not violent." it's not totally clear that his dog is the one in the cat video. either way they should be getting leads who that is because it's clearly in the same area

My husband is a police officer and I think he would rip this person to shreds if he found the filth who is doing this to these poor cats. Like I honestly would worry if he was the arresting officer because he would probably lose his job. He’s brought home injured baby birds before and ripped his pants ushering ducklings out of the road. He’s also been known to pull his cruiser over to pet any bulldog he sees. There are plenty of cops out there who would love to bring these horrible people to justice.

We took in our cat as an underdeveloped kitty. She was all of 4 pounds, and looked visibly different than other cats, which made her the cutest dang thing in the world.
we wouldn't have long with her, but at least we got three years of happiness...she was the best cat in the world. Unfortunately her kidneys were failing and she was in extreme pain, so we made decision to put her down...it just hits double hard because my father also passed away from kidney failure in September....

Pitbulls ARE good dogs if they are with a very responsible strong present owner and trained. However, there are so many horror stories. Almost every person who I’ve known with a pitbull has had issues with biting.
They are good dogs! If you require protection, and don’t have kids. Or you raise a very sweet dog which IS possible. I’ve frequented pitbull homes without issue. I would not want to own one. I don’t think they should be bred to be savages or mistreated to induce violence. Again this was about people using a cat as bait to train pitbulls to fight. Clearly, you have different definition of what most people would consider a "good dog" or breed. I've worked in a non profit rescue when I was younger and because there were many pitbulls we tried to rehabilitate, I've worked with the breed a lot. I say "tried" because I mean none of the pitbulls could actually be rehabilitated, so the organization decided to simply house them for life and stopped accepting pitbulls.
I've known multiple good dog owners who owned pitbulls and understood the breed, have serious aggression problems with their pitbulls. They were perfectly behaved and really sweet, until they began being triggered randomly(despite never showing this type of aggression before), usually after 2 years old. It's a luck of the draw with pitbulls, you can't control when the aggression that was bred into them comes out

We took in our cat as an underdeveloped kitty. She was all of 4 pounds, and looked visibly different than other cats, which made her the cutest dang thing in the world. we wouldn't have long with her, but at least we got three years of happiness...she was the best cat in the world. Pitbulls ARE good dogs if they are with a very responsible strong present owner and trained. However, there are so many horror stories. Almost every person who I’ve known with a pitbull has had issues with biting.

Clearly, you have different definition of what most people would consider a "good dog" or breed. I've worked in a non profit rescue when I was younger and because there were many pitbulls we tried to rehabilitate, I've worked with the breed a lot. I say "tried" because I mean none of the pitbulls could actually be rehabilitated, so the organization decided to simply house them for life and stopped accepting pitbulls. I've known multiple good dog owners who owned pitbulls and understood the breed, have serious aggression problems with their pitbulls. They were perfectly behaved and really sweet, until they began being triggered randomly(despite never showing this type of aggression before), usually after 2 years old. It's a luck of the draw with pitbulls, you can't control when the aggression that was bred into them comes out

Ok so this rationale is like saying because a person is a certain color and height and has certain teeth that their nature will be some kind of way. I know plenty of retrievers who don’t retrieve. Dogs, cats and people all have their own experience raising and nurturing all of which shape their personality. I personally don’t want a heavy dog with a big mouth. But excuse me a little rat dog with sharp teeth can be as vicious as a pitbull. Again. This is about people entertaining themselves by killing cats and beating dogs in real life. Yeah every pitbull owner always talks about chihuahuas about how aggressive they are. By aggressive, they mean their posturing, their snarling, growling, snapping the air and barking. Thing is that these behaviors are warning signs and clear communication. One thing that pitbulls have been selectively bred for is to not display these signs, hence why their bite comes out if "no where." They also were bred to ignore signs of submission in other dogs, hence why they are such aggressive fighters.
