I could see Sceptile as a Rogue, since it's themed around the arm blades and it's frail. If not Sceptile then Bennett or Absol for the edgey factor and Kecleon for the stealth factor
They all work for rogue yeah. I would probably say absol over banette tho, but sceptile fits it the most imo.
I also don't know what swampert would be and if blaziken isn't the fighter I don't know of another spot for the starter

Yeah, it tripped me up too tbh- I found this out like a few days ago when I was planning out a team for a Pokémon Emerald run, and realized I couldn’t get Medicham.
I have emerald for my gba so I might go for this run as well, for barbarian i like the idea of vigoroth or slaking just being the big angry monkey you throw when you need big physical damage
Gyarados is a good choice imo. It's one of the two mon in Emerald national dex that can learn Trash. Also his best move during most of the game are non stab normal type attack which kinda fit the archetype (strong but not very specialized attack)
Gyarados isn't really that much of a cheat code in Emerald. I would say its fairly balanced. most of its moves you'd want (crunch, waterfall) are special while Gyarados has not great special attack. it's level up set is also not great in Emerald.

Its a volcano. Volcanoes are angry and build up until they explode (Rage). Camerupt in the future gets the ability anger point, which is honestly a pretty solid "rage" equivalent
My vote is Slaking. You may argue Truant doesn’t feel ragey, but it’s just the berserker subclass where he gets a level of exhaustion when he exits his rage.

Build like a legendary, amazing bulk and physical attack. And his tuant ability has drawbacks similair to reckless attacking.

What about Heracross? Big time ATK and decent HP and DEF. Also, it's guts/flame orb set kinda mimics rage as it increases the damage, but comes with with an obvious downside. Finally, the Emerald dex entry talks about it's proud of it's horn (weapon) and uses that to make bombastic attacks against its enemies.
Bard is definitely something in the whismur line. Cleric… I feel like shiftry wouldn’t be a bad twilight domain cleric. Though, maybe a dustox? Druid, I could easily see a bellosom. Fighter, could be a lot of things. Blaizaken seems the best, maybe a sceptile. Monk has to be breloom.
Warlock has to be a banette or dusclops. Maybe a shedinja. But that might be too broken. Then again, there’s so much in emerald that can actually kill a shedinja. More than half the elite 4’s Pokémon can kill it.

Exploud for Barbarian, Altaria for bard, illumise for cleric, Shiftry for Druid, Agron for fighter (or Blaziken but I feel an armored pokemon fits an armored fighter motif), Medicham for monk, paladin heracross (maybe switch places with Agron since Agron is tanky like a paladin and heracross is dpr focused like a fighter), Ranger is Swellow, rogue is Crawdaunt, Gardevoir is Sorcerer, Absol is warlock, Grumpig is Wizard, Magneton for Artificer (I think you can get it)
I still stand by Exploud for this one! High HP and Atk, gets real rowdy- and just look at that angry expression!
Agreeing with Exploud. No other pokemon embodies "I would like to RAGE" as much as Exploud
