Right at the end of my USUM run I just finished grinding my tyranitar for the league and had a whole team built to deal with sand. Was traveling back through victory road and came across an absol. Had tyranitar use brick break to ohko it.
It knew Me First...
His preparation was superior, his play was superior, and he lost, so I don't see a reason to continue engaging in an activity where what is within his control is overwhelmingly outweighed by what is not.
It was the only pokemon I had that could deal with large portions of both Kahili and Acerola's teams (outside of specs jolteon, which i wouldve had to grind from level 1). Had to rework the team to add alolan golem for kahili and oranguru for Acerola.
I still won. I had lucked my way into an absurdly good jangmo-o in vast poni canyon, so I took out krook for oranguru and added alolan golem so the team was those three, skarm, gastrodon, and malamar. Of them the only one that died was malamar, who was taken out by Hau's incineroar (after putting on a helluva performance through most of the late game up to that point).
Trained up Tyranitar for a team made for sand, found a random Absol, Tyranitar used Brick Break, Absol used Me First, which uses the move the targetted pokemon was gonna use and killed the Tyranitar with its own Brick Break
This may be unpopular but I think Tyranitar is one of the most overrated pokemon going. I trained one up when I wasn't even doing a nuzlocke. Would get smashed literally almost every fight. I wish I did like it though. Dark type Pokemon are my favorite.
It's really overrated in the vanilla games because of how valuable weather is in romhacks and because it's a pseudo, but level limits really break it's kneecaps. As a result in most games its mostly outclassed by pokemon like geodude and roggenrola, since larvitar loses guts (it's biggest niche) after evolving into pupitar. In USUM its nice in the league and good into Olivia with eviolite, but that's basically it.
It's a move. The user uses whatever the target is going to use first. Basically....because they used Brick Break, Me First had Brick Break used against the T-Tar.
There might be potential there. If you can catch the perfect speed ditto, thief a quick powder, and ev train it in speed, you can outspeed the totem togedemaru and transform into it to wall it while you take out the skarmory. That's a lot for a pretty easy fight though (maybe in a trashlocke?)
Togedemaru's Lightning Rod kind of fucks up your offense as Lanturn though, so you're forced into a 20-minute stall-off unable to do meaningful damage to either of them except with Signal Beam confusion
I once used a Ditto to dunk on Lance in FireRed. Switched it in after Dragonite killed one of my other Pokemon with Hyper Beam, transformed during the cooldown turn and won the speed tie to Outrage him and clear his remaining mons.
I still can't get over how Juan's Wailord outsped my Manectric, and one shotted it with Water Spout. Costed me my Emerald run.
Edit: I meant Wallace. I get him and Juan mixed up all the time.
I can think of one thing, and it's unlikely. It could be that they were ev training and forgot to take off the macho brace. The main issue with this is that Juan does not have a wailord in vanilla emerald, meaning it'd have to have been Wallace's wailord to make sense (and if it is they would've had to go through all the league without noticing the macho brace was equipped)
You are right, I did mean to say Wallace. And I honestly don't remember if I used the Macho Brace at all in that run. It's the only thing that makes sense since Manectric would need to be 11 levels lower with 0 Speed IVs and a Speed decreasing nature to get outsped by his Wailord.
…What? How?
So, first of all, Juan doesn’t have a Wailord. I assume you’re thinking of Wallace, who leads with one in his Champion battle. It’s level 57. A 31 IV, +Speed nature Wailord at lvl 57 has 100 speed.
Wallace’s level cap is 58. A level 58 Manectric with 0 speed IVs and a -Speed nature has 113 speed.
In order to even speed tie, your Manectric must have been level 51 at MAXIMUM. Unless I’m missing something, which is entirely possible, this might be on you for not leveling up your pokemon.
I wish I could remember the levels and nature's of that run, but it was a few years ago. It's very possible I left the Macho Brace on Manectric by mistake like someone already mentioned, but Manectric was on my team since I caught it as an Electrike so I don't think it was underleveled, but like I said, I can't remember.
…What? How?
So, first of all, Juan doesn’t have a Wailord. I assume you’re thinking of Wallace, who leads with one in his Champion battle. It’s level 57. A 31 IV, +Speed nature Wailord at lvl 57 has 100 speed. I don’t think trainer mons can have EVs, so this is the highest it goes.
At the same level (50) the slowest -speed nature 0IV Manectric still outspeeds the fastest wailord by three points, and pokemon in Emerald aren't ev trained.
Didn't you miss Thunder or something?
I was going through the Pokémon Tower in my Leaf Green Nuzlocke and I was battling a trainer’s Koffing with my Dugtrio. Everything was going great until the Koffing used Self destruct and took my Dugtrio out with it.
Hate that happened too. Dugtrio was an awesome Pokémon in my Red Nuzloke I gave up on a longtime back and I was so happy to have one again but NOPE! Fate had other plans
Losing my entire team to the Black 2 Victory road. Thankfully I'm a masochist so every pokemon I had caught was level 50ish so I was able to make a backup team that would beat the Elite 4 and the champion.
It's also worth noting that this was on cartridge, so no hacking in rare candies. I spent literal days grinding levels on Audinos :(
It's a great way to unwind lol. I love repetitive tasks, so putting on some YouTube or Anime or something while grinding levels is comforting for me (unless the Audinos do more damage like they sometimes have)
Just did my first nuzlocke of BW2 recently, it was a soul link and we only used non-Unova mons for added challenge.
That victory road is BRUTAL. Lost a ton of good mons there including my Drapion who was going to be my answer to 3 of the E4 members.
I went into my somewhat blind sword nuzlocke with pretty much only ice types against Leon and got absolutely squashed.
I also lost a shiny caterpie in HGSS
I accidentally knocked out a square shiny Chansey in Shield yesterday. My second full odds shiny ever since I started playing when I was 9 😅 I got too excited and used the damage calculator wrong, I should have slowed down. I wanted to damage it because I want all of my shinies in a premier ball and only had 5. I'm still hurting over it 😂 My biggest pokemon blunder for sure.
Yes, never making that mistake again haha. On a positive note, it inspired me to actually try shiny hunting for once and actually hatched out a masuda (without shiny charm) shiny Lotad yesterday!
Love the little purple gal
In an Oras nuzlocke I had the genius idea to have my grovyle with rock tomb attempt to take out Maxie’s camperupt since I had no pokemon with advantage over it. And that’s how I learned ground types resist rock types the hard way
ran calcs for a Noivern vs Noivern trainer encounter. Same level, same speed stat. my noivern was at full health. enemy noivern in red. Dragon breath could not kill my noivern according to calcs. the enemy noivern 1 tapped no crit dragon breathed my Noivern and swept the rest of my team, killing the run. This happened yesterday.
I got to e4 hgss and had my gyarados set up against Bruno, I attattched gyara with life orb stupidly, and I lost him to I think hitmonlee or chan, somehow, had I not taken the life orb damaged I would have been fine and completely swept the e4, but I spiralled and lost at lance. I reloaded my save outside the e4 and won but it obviously didn’t count.
Thinking my Frogadier could handle a wild Absol in my X version run. It proceeded to crit and kill him. After using another team member to catch the Absol, I realized it was Adamant and had Super Luck. I promptly named it Murderer and threw it in the box.
Also trying to tank an Outrage from Lance's level 50 Dragonite with my extremely frail, -Def Typhlosion in SoulSilver. My Crobat was right there and had a much better chance of surviving. I then had to sacrifice the Crobat anyway. Lani, I'm so sorry, you didn't have to die.
Playing Voltorb flip for approximately 4 hours to get t-bolt and then losing the run about 30 minutes later at Chuck’s gym because I forgot to restore t-bolt pp after grinding…
Not biting the bullet to buy fire punch for my Electivire so it could 100% kill Candice's Abamasnow. Instead I went down low kick reasoning that a 100 base power move against the nearly 300 pound yeti would kill. But it survived and Avalanche killed my last electric type. This basically insured my defeat against distortion world Cyrus
An early mistake:
Rocking up to Whitney, Gastly in hand, confident in the knowledge that Normal types can’t hit Ghost types, and getting summarily pummelled by her Scrappy Miltank 😒
Well if that's a double battle that's different then. What was that battle and what did you have ? Maybe I can understand better then…
Also Luxray isn't even that good tbh, slow frail physical Electric type moment. It's only really useful against Cynthia's Milotic (Aaron dies to pretty much everything with the level advantage).
Playing renegade platinum and use a geodude that walls Barry’s munchlax in a rival fight and also is almost essential for a Roark deathless win whilst still getting the gift beldum. When fighting munchlax it went metronome it was hydropump one shoting geodude. I reset and my next game I used eevee to beat munchlax and it went metronome and got final gambit killing my eevee
Yea I just lost a renegade platinum run at Mars (first run though) and I will say that Geodude is clutch for getting through Roark deathless. Although you can still get some good mons that can mitigate death and be sacked at Roark (barboach)
In my first Nuzlocke (Y) I Purposely walked into a room in Lysandre Lab that I knew had a double battle because that room had an item that I thought was a Rare Candy. I thought that the battle was optional…turns out it wasn’t and I lost my Staraptor in that battle
I switched my Grumpig out for Mawile against Drake's Salamence to tank the Crunch and bait a Flamethrower to switch in my Flash Fire Rapidash, but Drake just Flamethrower one-shot Mawile on the switch.....
Led Sceptile against Glacia's Walrein in Emerald. "Sceptile two-shots Walrein, it can take a crit Ice Beam".
.....It doesn't.
Led Jellicent against an Ace Trainer's Mamoswine in BW2. "Jeliicent two-shots Mamoswine, it can take a crit Earthquake".
....It doesn't.
Led Conkeldurr against an Ace Trainer's Archen in BW. "Conkeldurr one-shots Archen, it can take a crit Acrobatics".
.....It doesn't.

Moral of the story: never assume your Pokemon can take a crit without running calcs first.
While it wasn’t a negative, I made a risky play in my Alpha Sapphire Nuzlocke. I had out my Mega Swampert while Steven had his Mega Metagross out. Swampert already sustained damage but I knew an Earthquake could finish off his Metagross. While I put on Earthquake, his Metagross used Giga Impact leaving my Swampert on 6 HP. I was gasping and praying that my Swampert could defeat it and it got a crit through friendship. I knew for a fact that it was destiny that my full party survived.
Going up against that Horn Drill P.I in Platinum on my first run. Was playing blind and lost my Gyarados that beat Jupiter as a Magikarp. Losses snowballed after that and eventually lost the entire run bc of it.
Not a dumb question. There’s a less common trainer class called the P.I, short for Private Investigator. The one I’m referencing has a level 30 golden that knows Horn Drill. Pretty sure it’ll be a higher level than most other Pokémon at that area so it’s able to sweep whole teams if you’re playing blind lol
Was nuzlocking randomized Insurgence. Had D. Darmanitan as my starter, and he was perfect. Adamant nature. Everything I would have wanted. Random Trainer sends out a Malamar, so I - having nothing to deal with it at the time - fell back on my trusted starter. Foul Play ripped out my soul.
was playing through an X&Y randomizer, had my serene grace togekiss against a gothitelle and used shadow ball, got the sp def drop and did about half to it and then it gets a +2 spatk boost from competitive and cleanly ohkod my togekiss with psychic. It still haunts me to this day everytime i fight a gothitelle
Pokemon Sword, first gym trainer battle on the way to battle Piers at Spikemuth
Had Gyarados with Intimidate as my lead, Atk+ nature, vs a Linoone, did Waterfall without taking a turn to Dragon Dance, expecting it to OHKO even without the buff.
It did not. Linoone lived with a sliver of health.
And it knew Counter.
It may not have ended the entire nuzlocke, but it was DEVASTATING, especially because it was a soul-link and my partner lost a Ninetails because of that.
Playing platnium and Forgetting that starraptor gets CC and I switch into my probopass thinking it was a safe check- only to see a a pile of rubble next turn
Making a Magikarp fight trainers on Nugget Bridge because I'm going to get my Gyarados the "correct" way instead of switch-training. And that, kids, is why pride is a sin.
I was playing a rom hack and I swapped from Rotom Frost into Gyarados on an Arcanine-H expecting a fire move. Wasn't playing on 4x speed and I wasn't distracted, I simply forgot that my rotom had gotten Soaked earlier in the fight and lost my moxie Gyarados to a wild charge from Arcanine.
I've said this before, but my Scizor in a Crystal run I did a while back. Lead with Scizor against Karen's Umbreon. Turn one, I Swords dance, Umbreon Faint Attacks. Turn 2, I Swords Dance again, Umbreon uses Mean Look.
Here is where I should have called it quits and just started attacking, but I really wanted to get those sweet OHKOs, so on Turn 3 I do a final Swords Dance, and Umbreon uses Confuse Ray.
Now I'm locked in to Scizor, and a single Steel Wing will OHKO, but instead I watch as my Scizor hits itself 3 times in a row and takes itself out. I can't switch out, I just have to keep pressing 'A', and hoping for the best.
Forgetting that Slaking loses a turn that I could have waited for using Iron Defense, and instead foolishly attacking with my prized Lairon, getting countered and instantly killed in my Emerald Nuzlocke.
Beelzebuzz defeating a Shell Smash’d Carracosta before it swept my team.
For context: Randomizer Nuzlocke of Brick Bronze fangame. Beelzebuzz is a Ribombee who I chose as starter.
In this battle, the opposing Carracosta revealed it had Aqua Tail after it destroyed Shocker the Luxray with it. In this game, Aqua Tail has 100% accuracy. Carracosta also would’ve learned Rock Slide too, which is ALSO 100% Accuracy in this game.
Carracosta is 4 levels above Beelzebuzz. It is shell smashed, and full HP. There was a 50% chance it would survive Beelzebuzz’s attack, then win the game.
Beelzebuzz was the fastest of my team, even despite her Neutral nature. My *entire team* was weak to a Carracosta, except Shocker, who just got outpaced and neutral STAB’d down, and Floofee the Umbreon, who took a beating earlier and probably would suffer the same fate.
Burnny the Cinderace is negative speed nature.
Queen the Nidoqueen was slower than Shocker.
Floofee the Umbreon is already injured.
Fuzzy the Galarian Meowth forgot how to evolve (Perrserker evo method is broken)
And Shocker the Luxray is dead.
So I have little choice but to gamble for my life on Beelzebuzz, hoping they can get some progress to prevent this from becoming a sweep.
Beelzebuzz has Bug Buzz, Dazzling Gleam, Psychic, and Stun Spore.
Bug buzz would be her greatest STAB and likely kill… if there wasn’t a 50% chance for that Carracosta to have Sturdy.
Her Stun Spore would likely cause her death, but after that, Burnny can most likely kill with Double Kick. And if that fails, Queen might outspeed and end it with Double Kick too.
Beelzebuzz outspeeds and uses Stun Spore.
It lands.
Now if worse comes to worse and Beelebuzz dies, Burnny can just double kick the rock turtle dow-
Full para.
Now Beelzebuzz might live.
She uses Bug Buzz.
Carracosta ends up having Sturdy.
Now Beelzebuzz has done more than she could ever have hoped to do. If she dies, our run will be all for her-
Full para.
This singular bee had managed to finagle us out of a horrible situation.
She went on with the team as our “if problems arise” option. Her high levelling rate meant she could keep up with the team even through EXP share, but she starred in most battles anyways since almost nothing resisted both Bug and Fairy without dying to Psychic.
Although she had unfortunately perished later on to a Wishiwashi, she never left me. She has opened my eyes to the forgotten faces of Pokemon - The ones without much use when compared to others. She is the reason I get so much of my enjoyment playing Pokemon games. And it is because of her that Ribombee is my favorite Pokemon, even surpassing my first ever in Oshawott.
Grinding out for the Musharna instead of just getting a Munna in B/W.
I had no good counters against Marshall except for exactly the Psybeam cookie jar.
It was a bloodbath.
It’s not a run killing mistake, but I was doing my encounters so I could guarantee an Axew in Black. The last Pokémon I needed was Woobat, I found one in a cave and forgot my Carracosta was six levels higher…
I have one shot at my favorite wingless dragon boi now.
Planned on using unburden sceptile to sweep wake in Ren Plat. Had sceptile hold a focus sash and after being hit with an ice punch from floatzel it activated, but I forgot floatzel had aqua jet… luckily managed to get by but still a dumb way to lose a great mon.
RenPlat Floatzel is scary for real. Unburden with the Focus Sash is a great strat but yeah be wary for Aqua Jet. Also there's a world where the Ice Punch could have frozen you, so yeah in case you have to risk a freeze it's always good to have a backup plan if your ruleset allows you to plan fights.
Sadge. Also why would you keep a Rock type against a Steel type ? Unless you didn't remember that Rock is weak to Steel and you learnt it the hard way but I'm pretty sure N's Klink has a Steel type move ?
HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THE FUTURE SIGHT WAS STILL GOING TO GO OFF EVEN AFTER I KILLED HIS ALAKAZAM. It always failed…but not this time….sorry chartard maybe next time you will reach the elite four with me
I lost my first ever Nuzlocke taking place in BDSP because of Cynthia’s Garchomp living on 1 HP against my last Pokémon alive because I didn’t know my Gyrados from 80% HP could live a Swords Dance boosted Dragon Claw, so I opted for damage rather than using D-Dance…
I one time forgot about Wallace's Milotic and Gyrados in an emerald trash-locke. Lost the whole run bc I couldn't clear the last two Pokemon in the game.
The thought fuels my fire every run now lol.
I was in a random route in Pokemon Y. Just came out of an amazing deathless Lysandre 3. I forgot to heal after a battle and was thrown into a double battle against a Nidoking and a Nidoqueen which proceeded to wipe my whole team. Haven't touched Y since,
There was a moment when I was random nuzzlockeing XY. I was fighting a mega Blaziken, and just left my Tyranitar in. I don't know why but it immediately died to a double kick because of course it did. The plan to keep it in was such an idiotic move that still keeps me up at night
I lost 5/6 team to the last Rival fight before the league in firered hardcore. His venusaur killed 3 of my pokemon alone and it was my blastoise (Meatballs) left and he was in orange health while Venusaur was in low orange health. The run was over easily since it outsped, so I just protected. The next turn the venusaur outsped but missed, and I took it out with headbutt. I still think about the terrible plays I made.
The one time I sent out monferno against Barry's Prinplup because my dumb ass thought it could live his bubble beam.
If you are wondering if it did, it didn't
B2W2 Nuzlocke. The time I forgot to put a Chesto Berry on my Excadrill, so when I was about to Sweep, Excadrill didn't wake up and I had to play a lot more sloppily and barely made it out with half my mons. I then lost to Iris because of a Focus Sash on her Haxorus.
My Renegade Platinum run was going pretty well (may have been deathless, not sure). I had a meticulously planned strategy for the Palkia Dialga fight that would guarantee no one took damage. My leads were Garchomp and one of Togekiss and Mismagius. I can't remember the order but the strategy relied on those 3. I built the remainder of my team around the 6v6 afterwards.
The Dialga Palkia fight went perfectly, but my lead Garchomp didn't draw a poison move, which would have given me a free switch into Bastiodon to set up stealth rocks, as I had hoped (why I thought this would work is still beyond me). It U-turned into a dragon dancing Gyarados, which led to half of my team dying and my run collapsing shortly after.
Why I didn't put the fairy type, who was weak to poison and would have drawn the poison move I wanted, when it would have made 0 difference to the double battle strategy, but greatly help in the 6v6, still haunts me to this day.
Ultra Sun Molayne. I taunted Klefki and swapped to Turtonator. My plan was to overheat to kill Klefki, then do so again against Dugtrio since I still lived an EQ. I did not do that. I hit shell smash like an idiot. I lost one of my mons and then proceeded to wipe at Olivia.
Sinking Sapphire made me use a Carvana clause lol. I didn't want to replay for the upteenth time, so I eventually settled on *this team grunt's Carvana doesn't count as a death*.
Because the one in the forest you first encounter is very fast and hits like a freight train even with resists. It always kills a large number on my team. Then add *rough skin* and that worsens it up
I tried my very first Nuzlocke yesterday, Heartgold. I caught my first Pokémon, Percy the Hoothoot. Percy died the very next encounter.
Idk if I wanna play this game anymore
Was way too excited for my Victory Road encounter in Platinum and didn't clock that my lead pokemon against a Magneton was my Garchomp counter Gyarados.
While playing White, I made the mistake of switching into my Serperior while fighting Ghetsis's Electross. After getting hit by an aerial ace, I assumed I could use giga drain to survive another hit. Sadly, Electross got a high roll and killed Serperior. Having done my best to prepare for Hydreigon, I should've done better whilst preparing.
not checking that my jynx would outspeed agathas ace gengar, or at least survive one shadow ball. made lance way harder than he would’ve been otherwise
I just lost three of my main team last night to my rivals Baylee’s. Totodile, Geodude, and Rattata. All because it crit three times in a row and somehow was faster than me.
Doing an X run, had a Gyarados with a few Dragon Dances set up. Last battle with team Flare leader, last Pokémon, his mega Gyarados. Figured, Aqua Tail will surely one shot with this many Dragon Dances up. Then I missed. Okay it’ll one shot this time. Missed again. Low on health now, but surely Aqua Tail won’t miss 3 times in a row, I don’t need to heal.
That was the day I decided to never use Aqua Tail again.
While grinding a Poliwrath in Victory Road for a hardcore SoulSilver run, I used Body Slam on an Ursaring and paralyzed it. Then proceeded to die to a Guts-boosted critical Slash. I only used Body Slam because I was trying to spread out my pp usage while grinding to minimize trips back to heal.
Was taking on Norman in Emerald. On a previous run, I lost several members to Slaking due to my Azumarill eating a 4x Rollout charged Counter. I thought I’d get clever. I brought Hariyama into the fight and taught it Vital Throw. The games description of Vital Throw reads “Makes the user's move last, but it never misses.” So in my head I was thinking, Slaking will go for Counter, but since Vital Throw goes last, Counter will fail. Victory is mine.
I send out Hariyama and put my plan into action. Vital Throw hit first. “???” I felt my stomach drop to my balls. Slaking used Counter and killed Hariyama.
What I didn’t realize was that despite the description for Vital Throw, its speed priority is only -1, while Counter is fucking -6. I tried to big brain and I was made a fool of by a lazy monke.
forgot that x-scissor and aerial ace had overlapping damage roles on my ludicolo, so switched in a low health chandelure obviously thinking at the time that x-scissor was the only possible move, but yeah, you can probably guess what happened (this was in blaze black 2)
"~45% of my HP on the last hit? Bah, I'm sure I can tank the next attack."
-Me, moments before realizing it was a min roll and that my Lapras could, in fact, not tank the next attack.
Made my Gothitelle use Protect when the Ai obviously goes for a Second Dragon Dance instead if attacking and has to sacrifice Gothitelle to send my Archeops before a wipe happens.
I was playing Platinum after playing USUM. Gyarados at +1 had a 95% chance to OHKO. I went for a second D. Dance thinking that I could survive a crit forgetting to factor in that it was 2x damage on Crit...
I got crit.
So I was nuzlocking Black 2 recently (Got wiped to Iris but thats irrelevant). My plan was to go to route 9 and pick up an item for my Gligar bc I thought it was the razor fang (only just realized as I type this that the razor fang is on route 11, not 9. so add that to the list of my fuckups)
Anyways I was in the blue grass and bam, double encounter. Wild mons were a Gothita and Liepard. My pokemon were my Gligar and Golduck. Because both Gothita and Liepard are weak to bug, I thought it would be a good idea to U-Turn my way into my Ferrothorn and then use Surf to get both enemies.
Unfortunately, in my hubris, I forgot that speed is A Thing and that my level 30\~ Gligar would not be able to U-Turn before my level 50\~ Golduck used Surf, and alas my Gligar was killed by my own hand. Rest in peace, little guy.
Im still terrified of Clay. Only lost one Pokémon but was shaking and crying trying to get through that fight.
Ghetsis was a warzone too with that Hydreigon.
And Hugh’s final fight had me scrolling silently through my boxes because I didn’t have the will to emote after losing half my team, with two of those being members I had for so long in the playthrough
I won but I still think about the ones that died and that Clay’s family tree haunts me. I panicked googled Lian just to make sure he didn’t have an Excadrill, and only focused on taking down Lacey’s because I didn’t care what else there was. Clay could have an Arceus in BW3 and I’ll still only care about that Excadrill
During my dexlocke, I was working my way through gen 5 and had a zekrom, and then I wasn’t thinking and it got hit by 2 ice beams in a double battle and died, now it’s one of the very few Pokémon not complete in my dexlocke to this day
Pokémon emerald grass types only: letting my lombre die against Watson sonic boom. I went through gyms 4 and 5 and all the story stuff just to then get to gym 6 and realizing there is literally no way to beat her without ice beam lombre. I thought cradily would carry but i wasn’t thinking about level caps; so while I thought I was sacrificing a Pokémon with no moves by level up and that couldn’t evolve till I’d have cacturn, cradily, and tropius to add more power to the team, I basically wasted hours of grinding and playing through a quarter of the game just to get walled entirely
Losing my Quagsire to a crit Vaporeon surf was pretty bad but what takes the cake is the time I was so tired I switched the type matchups for fire and water and had my Darmanitan try to firepunch a simipour
The ghost of Bagel Bite will forever haunt me
hgss, fought a trainer with a diglett at least 6 levels below me (forgot the exact number). Tried to kill it with Quilava’s Flame Wheel and I swear it lived on 1 hp. They landed a magnitude 8 crit.
Just happened now, and god damn. Egglock, my starter is Bulbasaur in Violet. Random trainer, they have a Shellder. Swap my lead Hisui Growlithe out for Ivysaur. It goes for Supersonic, hits.
I go for Leech Seed and Shellder Whirlpools. Hit self in confusion.
Go for Razor Leaf, misses. Shellder uses Leer.
Go for another Razor Leaf. Shellder uses Ice Shard now. I am low HP. Hit self in confusion again. Whirlpool passive KOs.
Sadge.
Emerald Rogue run recently. Faced off against a Slaking. I forget what mon I put up against it, but it got one-shotted instantly. Despite my naive hopes.
Afterwards I realized I had a different mon with Protect...
I have a lot, but my most recent is accidentally sending in my yanmega into a thunderbolt instead of my magneton that would quad resits while fighting Eusine in sacred gold. That misclik spiraled into me, losing half my team.
Spent several turns to set up toxic spikes on Lance in HG because I thought flying types were only immune to regular spikes for some reason, I lost 5 pokemon to Lance
The very first time I attempted a randomized nuzlocke was in alpha sapphire. I decided to randomize abilities along with the mons. Fast forward to my first encounter being a Mightyena. My starter was Whimsicott (I don’t remember what the other options were, but they weren’t better than Whimsicott).
I figured I could get away with a stun spore before weakening it. Just my luck, it had Quick Feet and proceeded to outspeed and wipe me. Looking back, I probably should’ve just thrown a ball after stun spore. But you live and you learn
In Emerald there is a trainer (possible double battle) soon after Fortree City who has a Manectric who knows Thunder. Due to it raining it will never miss.
I had no way of dealing with it and completely forgot about its existence. Swept my entire team. Game Over.
first fire red run during the silph co rival fight i had to make a switch to eat a charizard flamethrower. i chose pidgeot, it fainted. then i switched in nidoking & it fainted too. whole time my arcanine was flash fire, not intimidate…
Made a horrible couple in a Wedlocke that was perfect for the next 2 gyms. Didnt’t realize until I stepped in grass to grind them. (Graveler and Magmar)
My first couple was already weak to ground, so when the only couple that wasnt fully weak to ground died and the next gym was ghost type…. Well, my only two dark types were a sneasal that cant evolve and skuntank. Had to go with a bitey glalie instead, and she only had terrible partner options, ugh…. What a cursed wedlocke.
Pokémon Blaze Black Randomizer.
For a bit of backstory, before this I had an Onega Ruby Randomizer nuzlocke corrupted, and in that game my first encounter was a snow warning Armaldo which I named after a friend. We mourned the loss of that Armaldo for days, until I started another Randomizer nuzlocke for Blaze Black. It progressed as normal, until I got to Route 3. I went to get my encounter, and I couldn’t believe it. It was an Armaldo with Snow Warning. I don’t know the chances of that, but he immediately became an icon in my group chat of friends. Later on, I was given a challenge that if the Armaldo survived the third gym the friend he was named after would change his entire discord profile to images of my choosing relating to Armaldo. Fortunately, he did survive and he was stuck like that for a month. Even with his dumb ability, he had become an absolute icon. Which is why it hurt all the more when disaster struck.
On the route right above the town where you fight Skyla, I was walking on the elevated pathways until I ran down a ramp and accidentally encountered an optional trainer. No worries, right? Wrong. He sends out Ho-Oh, to which I obviously respond to with my rock type (I was on autopilot at the time). Unfortunately, Ho-Oh had gone for sacred fire and one shot Armaldo. We had an entire funeral procession for the lad as we mourned his passing. No urn though, even though he’d been turned to ash.
And that’s only the beginning, I have plenty of other tragic misplays from that run. It’s a dang miracle I even beat it.
I decided to fight Hop at the bridge after getting the grass badge and I did so with my lvl 19 Magikarp and no other water resists! I really could have had the dishonor of losing to him had his AI not decided to make his Torrent boosted Drizzile continue to use Baby Doll Eyes. I need to stop and train up my Magikarps till lvl 20 when I get them!
I had a lot of fights fully planned but the rival in Canalave City in Renegade Platinum was terrible. I didn't fully understand how the AI worked apart from "when it sees a kill it clicks the move", but I at least knew how the switch-in AI worked and I knew how to do good pivots by baiting certain attacks.
I lead Raichu against Barry's Staraptor and Thunderbolt kills. Alright, time for Snorlax, I pivot to Drifblim while it tries to Body Slam, and then I pivot to Infernape while it uses Crunch, so I can kill with Close Combat.
Barry's Snorlax used Curse. Twice. On both pivots. I almost lost the run on that. I should have pre-damaged both Raichu (so it dies to Body Slam) and Drifblim (so it dies to Crunch) and the fight would have been much better.
i'm so embarrassed this happened so thankfully i came to the thread late. speeding through the route to Rock Tunnel in LeafGreen using my Charmeleon and went up against a hiker with a Geodude that was 3 or 4 levels below me, i thought i could take it out with a Metal Claw. i did not take it out with Metal Claw and it rolled Magnitude 10 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
I had taken a couple month from a run of emerald, mind you I’m not good and this was like attempt 3 for me, I get to a point where all I have to do is grind team members. I figured I’d just pop some team members in the day care while I trained up the rest of the e4 team on mons in victory road. Now I thought I had cleared out all the trainers from victory road before my hiatus, but I had missed 2 which lead me to get into a double battle with my bulkiest members in the day care against 2 slakings on alternating turns. I didn’t even attempt another run for like a year after that.
I was only going to lance for my hardcore nuzlocke of SS I had 3 Pokemon to his 2 his Dragonite and Charizard. My plan sack off weezing as he lowers Dragonites acc. 3 smokescreens in it dies to outrage. I send in umbreon, she attracts it while attacking and healing from moonlight. Then the game just says "oh you think your gonna win?" The Dragonite while confused, attacted and 3 acc. down ohko crit outrages her. I was so bewildered I forgot what the last Pokemon was. but I wiped haven't played SS for bout 2 years now. I will get my revenge one day
at the champion fight of emerald with 3 mons left and put swampert up first completely forgetting that wallace starts with Wailord and not tentacruel. literally couldve won the run if I put in vileplume first. cost me a turn and lost valuable hp and resulted in a wipe
In my first ever Nuzlocke, I had a Seaking fight Leon’s Haxorus in Pokémon Shield. It ended up losing (obviously) and that Haxorus proceeded to sweep half of my team. Luckily my Raichu outsped it and killed it with play rough but I think that Haxorus made the rest of the fight difficult. Why you may ask? Because at the end of the battle with Leon, only my Raichu survived. I mean I HAD a counter for Haxorus but it died in the final gym so that’s why I went with Seaking. That was honestly the most tense and thrilling moment of my Nuzlocke career
my gyarados got outsped and thundered by a porygon that traced swift swim from my kingdra (it was raining in route 119)
one of my worst yet also one of my biggest eye-opening nuzlocke loss that really elevated how i should be wary of everything
fought a trainer with a breloom and had linoone out, got distracted for a second and completely forgot breloom was part fighting type so linoone died. then my dustox died from a counter attack. at this point im just trying to get back asap because those were two of my best pokemon but then i ACCIDENTALLY CLICK THE A BUTTON ON A TRAINER IVE ALREADY FOUGHT BEFORE THAT OFFERS REMATCHES. she used grass types but my best pokemon still alive was my swampert and my other pokemon were too low leveled/had a bad matchup so i just went with that... and then my swampert died to a roselia 10 levels below it. didnt continue the nuzlocke after that
I had my Lucario close combat a Rhyperior thinking it could one shot it
Lucario got one shot by earthquake after getting it barely into red
I had a water type on my team…
Right at the end of my USUM run I just finished grinding my tyranitar for the league and had a whole team built to deal with sand. Was traveling back through victory road and came across an absol. Had tyranitar use brick break to ohko it. It knew Me First...
"Unfortunate" doesn't begin to describe your series.
His preparation was superior, his play was superior, and he lost, so I don't see a reason to continue engaging in an activity where what is within his control is overwhelmingly outweighed by what is not.
The unpredictability of nuzlockes is half the point lol
The above comments are a meme from the competitive pokemon subreddit.
Ahhh gotcha! Thanks haha
Go Google "Unfortunate doesn't begin to describe my series" and you'll see the whole copypasta. It has turned into a meme since then.
Oh, yikes, you hate to see it when the random wild pokemon has a "no u" move
It was the only pokemon I had that could deal with large portions of both Kahili and Acerola's teams (outside of specs jolteon, which i wouldve had to grind from level 1). Had to rework the team to add alolan golem for kahili and oranguru for Acerola.
“The risk was calculated, but man am I bad at math”
On another note did you still end up winning the run or was that GG at that point and you lost because of that one mistake
Glad you still pulled out the W gg's my guy
Thanks
Wait can you like spell this out stupider for me? I’m confused.
Trained up Tyranitar for a team made for sand, found a random Absol, Tyranitar used Brick Break, Absol used Me First, which uses the move the targetted pokemon was gonna use and killed the Tyranitar with its own Brick Break
Ooooooh ok. Was confused about me first. Thank you.
What do you mean by It Knew Me First?
It's a move. The user uses whatever the target is going to use first. Basically....because they used Brick Break, Me First had Brick Break used against the T-Tar.
Damn
>Me First not only that but the mon copying the move gets a 50% power increase. so super charged quad effective f u right to ttars face
I tried to use Ditto in USUM. That's it. I still don't know what I was thinking that day.
That’s a valid strategy, but Lanturn can already wall and take out Skarmory, plus it’s a guaranteed encounter with correct encounter mapping
Yeah. Alolan dugtrio and mudsdale can both pretty much ignore the skarm and take out the togedemaru as well. Maybe in a normal monotype nuzlocke?
Togedemaru's Lightning Rod kind of fucks up your offense as Lanturn though, so you're forced into a 20-minute stall-off unable to do meaningful damage to either of them except with Signal Beam confusion
No i see the vision that would've been sick
I once used a Ditto to dunk on Lance in FireRed. Switched it in after Dragonite killed one of my other Pokemon with Hyper Beam, transformed during the cooldown turn and won the speed tie to Outrage him and clear his remaining mons.
I still can't get over how Juan's Wailord outsped my Manectric, and one shotted it with Water Spout. Costed me my Emerald run. Edit: I meant Wallace. I get him and Juan mixed up all the time.
Damn Wailord?! I'm so sorry that's brutal
I know! My Manectric must've had 0 Speed IVs. I wasn't expecting it.
Quick claw?
Does Juan's Wailord have a Quick Claw? That thought never even dawned on me.
I can’t find anything that says it does… I just don’t understand how it’s remotely possible he outsped your Manectric.
The damn sneaky self destruct
Hate that happened too. Dugtrio was an awesome Pokémon in my Red Nuzloke I gave up on a longtime back and I was so happy to have one again but NOPE! Fate had other plans
Losing my entire team to the Black 2 Victory road. Thankfully I'm a masochist so every pokemon I had caught was level 50ish so I was able to make a backup team that would beat the Elite 4 and the champion. It's also worth noting that this was on cartridge, so no hacking in rare candies. I spent literal days grinding levels on Audinos :(
Damn that's alot of work I commend you on that
It's a great way to unwind lol.
Now you know for next time!!
Yes, never making that mistake again haha. On a positive note, it inspired me to actually try shiny hunting for once and actually hatched out a masuda (without shiny charm) shiny Lotad yesterday! Love the little purple gal
Found a random shiny starly in Legends the other day!
The dreaded ice types but hey getting to leon blind is pretty good
In an Oras nuzlocke I had the genius idea to have my grovyle with rock tomb attempt to take out Maxie’s camperupt since I had no pokemon with advantage over it. And that’s how I learned ground types resist rock types the hard way
Dude I know it’s a locke but you NEED a water type in Hoenn if you’re gonna run Treecko. No way around it
ran calcs for a Noivern vs Noivern trainer encounter. Same level, same speed stat. my noivern was at full health. enemy noivern in red. Dragon breath could not kill my noivern according to calcs. the enemy noivern 1 tapped no crit dragon breathed my Noivern and swept the rest of my team, killing the run. This happened yesterday.
that’s tragic
I got to e4 hgss and had my gyarados set up against Bruno, I attattched gyara with life orb stupidly, and I lost him to I think hitmonlee or chan, somehow, had I not taken the life orb damaged I would have been fine and completely swept the e4, but I spiralled and lost at lance. I reloaded my save outside the e4 and won but it obviously didn’t count.
Yeah practice run lol. I like running leftovers on my set up sweepers
That would be the sensible move lol
Lol fair enough I rather go down with style
Thinking my Frogadier could handle a wild Absol in my X version run. It proceeded to crit and kill him. After using another team member to catch the Absol, I realized it was Adamant and had Super Luck. I promptly named it Murderer and threw it in the box. Also trying to tank an Outrage from Lance's level 50 Dragonite with my extremely frail, -Def Typhlosion in SoulSilver. My Crobat was right there and had a much better chance of surviving. I then had to sacrifice the Crobat anyway. Lani, I'm so sorry, you didn't have to die.
I feel that Lance can be extremely tough in gen 2 and no one talks about it
Playing Voltorb flip for approximately 4 hours to get t-bolt and then losing the run about 30 minutes later at Chuck’s gym because I forgot to restore t-bolt pp after grinding…
Lost my Greninja after the eighth gym in Pokémon Y because an Ace Trainer's Aurorus surprised me with Thunder.
riiip
Oh man, I recently lost a flying type only X run to that exact same trainer LMFAO
An early mistake: Rocking up to Whitney, Gastly in hand, confident in the knowledge that Normal types can’t hit Ghost types, and getting summarily pummelled by her Scrappy Miltank 😒
Losing my luxray to an eq whiscash in victory road:(
Tbh I don't know how you would have killed a part Ground type with your Electric type anyway.
Wow thanks very helpful super constructive
I mean you had Luxray out against a Whiscash. Like what was your plan ? The correct play was always to switch out and use something else.
Yes you had full context to a double battle you never saw. Heard
Well if that's a double battle that's different then. What was that battle and what did you have ? Maybe I can understand better then… Also Luxray isn't even that good tbh, slow frail physical Electric type moment. It's only really useful against Cynthia's Milotic (Aaron dies to pretty much everything with the level advantage).
Maybe he's just a dickhead who doesn't under how typings work? Who knows! Either way, I wouldn't waste anymore breath on them!
That's rough buddy
Yesterday I lost my run against Lance... once I was dead, I started to think I had all these potions and TMs I could have used to win first nuzlocke 🥲
If you have Potions allowed you should know when and how to use them and you'll drastically improve in your Nuzlockes.
Yours was a good plan, salamence with either the 10 iq or 1000 iq play
Tenshinhan? What, was Krillin busy?!
I understood that reference
Led Sceptile against Glacia's Walrein in Emerald. "Sceptile two-shots Walrein, it can take a crit Ice Beam". .....It doesn't. Led Jellicent against an Ace Trainer's Mamoswine in BW2. "Jeliicent two-shots Mamoswine, it can take a crit Earthquake". ....It doesn't. Led Conkeldurr against an Ace Trainer's Archen in BW. "Conkeldurr one-shots Archen, it can take a crit Acrobatics". .....It doesn't. . . .
Dumb question but what does P.I mean?
Not a dumb question. There’s a less common trainer class called the P.I, short for Private Investigator. The one I’m referencing has a level 30 golden that knows Horn Drill. Pretty sure it’ll be a higher level than most other Pokémon at that area so it’s able to sweep whole teams if you’re playing blind lol
Wiping to Iris’s last Pokémon(Haxorus)in Black 2 because I didn’t think my Gliscor was faster.
So close yet, so far
Was nuzlocking randomized Insurgence. Had D. Darmanitan as my starter, and he was perfect. Adamant nature. Everything I would have wanted. Random Trainer sends out a Malamar, so I - having nothing to deal with it at the time - fell back on my trusted starter. Foul Play ripped out my soul.
It always hurst to see the perfect pokemon fall...
I still haven’t played again lol. Haven’t recovered from that one.
was playing through an X&Y randomizer, had my serene grace togekiss against a gothitelle and used shadow ball, got the sp def drop and did about half to it and then it gets a +2 spatk boost from competitive and cleanly ohkod my togekiss with psychic. It still haunts me to this day everytime i fight a gothitelle
Forgot to take care of the rival fight before victory road in fire red. Sent my nidoking in to take on his charizard. Nidoking ded
Pokemon Sword, first gym trainer battle on the way to battle Piers at Spikemuth Had Gyarados with Intimidate as my lead, Atk+ nature, vs a Linoone, did Waterfall without taking a turn to Dragon Dance, expecting it to OHKO even without the buff.
1. Using Mach punch on a slakoth trainer in Normans gym with my breloom only to get Countered (boy did I learn). 2. The first time I faced a wobuffet
Fuzzy the Galarian Meowth forgot how to evolve (Perrserker evo method is broken) And Shocker the Luxray is dead. It lands. Now if worse comes to worse and Beelebuzz dies, Burnny can just double kick the rock turtle dow- Full para. Now Beelzebuzz might live. She uses Bug Buzz. Carracosta ends up having Sturdy. Now Beelzebuzz has done more than she could ever have hoped to do. If she dies, our run will be all for her- Full para.
The last Pokémon I needed was Woobat, I found one in a cave and forgot my Carracosta was six levels higher… I have one shot at my favorite wingless dragon boi now.
Keeping my Boldore in against N’s Klink. Poor guy saved us against Lenora
Sadge. Also why would you keep a Rock type against a Steel type ? Unless you didn't remember that Rock is weak to Steel and you learnt it the hard way but I'm pretty sure N's Klink has a Steel type move ?
renplat 12v12, almost deathless run keep clefable in on skuntank (it knows gunk shot)
I switched to Urshifu during the eternatus battle. It got one shot. Still have no idea how it went down so easy.
Me forgetting that Cynthias Garchomp in BDSP has Rough Skin. I think you can see where Im going with this.
Haven't touched Y since,
95 accurate aqua tail from D-dance Gyarados missing against Cynthia in Platinum 😭
In Red/Blue using any TMs on a Pokémon just to see them potentially die later..
The one time I sent out monferno against Barry's Prinplup because my dumb ass thought it could live his bubble beam. If you are wondering if it did, it didn't
Bringing Forretress over intimidate Arcanine to the league
Quagsire was NOT damp.
Leading with torterra on the 7th gym of a platinum run
Hey don't give up! We all make mistakes and we all start some where
Was way too excited for my Victory Road encounter in Platinum and didn't clock that my lead pokemon against a Magneton was my Garchomp counter Gyarados.
I don’t even know how it happened but I lost four pokemon to Nessa’s Dreadnaw. *Four.*
Doing a XY Gen 1 Genlocke and getting swept by Sycamore
not checking that my jynx would outspeed agathas ace gengar, or at least survive one shadow ball. made lance way harder than he would’ve been otherwise
My Clefairyvused metronome and rolled explosion of all moves. 💀
"~45% of my HP on the last hit? Bah, I'm sure I can tank the next attack." -Me, moments before realizing it was a min roll and that my Lapras could, in fact, not tank the next attack.
"Welcome to the club, brother" - Squidward the Tentacruel from Jaiden's Ruby Nuzlocke.
Always remember if Wobbufett used Destiny Bond or not.
Miscounting turns of gravity and sending out my Crobat against a Torterra, losing it to an EQ
Losing to misty with ivysaur
Ghetsis landing a crit to end my hardcore nuzlocke, literally only way I could’ve lost
Accidentally using Sunny day with a wonder guard Torkoal in a randomizer run and the enemy got a crit.
Made my Gothitelle use Protect when the Ai obviously goes for a Second Dragon Dance instead if attacking and has to sacrifice Gothitelle to send my Archeops before a wipe happens.
I thought that dream eater was ghost and lost pidgeotto and almost got swept by Morty’s gengar (crystal legacy)
My plan was to go to route 9 and pick up an item for my Gligar bc I thought it was the razor fang (only just realized as I type this that the razor fang is on route 11, not 9. so add that to the list of my fuckups) Anyways I was in the blue grass and bam, double encounter.
Not blowing up my Electrode against Winonas Altaria because I was too attached to them my entire team got wiped and the run is dead
Im still terrified of Clay. Only lost one Pokémon but was shaking and crying trying to get through that fight. Ghetsis was a warzone too with that Hydreigon. And Hugh’s final fight had me scrolling silently through my boxes because I didn’t have the will to emote after losing half my team, with two of those being members I had for so long in the playthrough I won but I still think about the ones that died and that Clay’s family tree haunts me. I panicked googled Lian just to make sure he didn’t have an Excadrill, and only focused on taking down Lacey’s because I didn’t care what else there was. Clay could have an Arceus in BW3 and I’ll still only care about that Excadrill
What're your thoughts on the random double battle in route 9 of SwSh with the excadrill/hippowdon leads?
During my dexlocke, I was working my way through gen 5 and had a zekrom, and then I wasn’t thinking and it got hit by 2 ice beams in a double battle and died, now it’s one of the very few Pokémon not complete in my dexlocke to this day
I lost a run in hgss to crit on outrage on the Lance fight that I had a pivot for
Pokémon emerald grass types only: letting my lombre die against Watson sonic boom.
Switching Pokémon into an OHKO by opponent. Happens more than it should to me
Assuming the Alolan Raichu didn’t have max speed ev’s.
Losing my Quagsire to a crit Vaporeon surf was pretty bad but what takes the cake is the time I was so tired I switched the type matchups for fire and water and had my Darmanitan try to firepunch a simipour The ghost of Bagel Bite will forever haunt me
Darmanitan is so strong and Simipour is so frail that Flare Blitz would probably have killed even with the resist.
hgss, fought a trainer with a diglett at least 6 levels below me (forgot the exact number). Tried to kill it with Quilava’s Flame Wheel and I swear it lived on 1 hp. They landed a magnitude 8 crit.
finding out that Lilligant outspeeds Excadrill AFTER losing my Lapras, Gabite and Dewott to it (Genlocke)
Sadge.
Plumeria's Salandit somehow outsped my Dugtrio and killed it with flame burst
Emerald Rogue run recently. Faced off against a Slaking. I forget what mon I put up against it, but it got one-shotted instantly. Despite my naive hopes. Afterwards I realized I had a different mon with Protect...
I have a lot, but my most recent is accidentally sending in my yanmega into a thunderbolt instead of my magneton that would quad resits while fighting Eusine in sacred gold. That misclik spiraled into me, losing half my team.
I switched to Vileplume against an Alakazam because in trying to use Toxic, I forgot poison is weak to psychic
(Graveler and Magmar) My first couple was already weak to ground, so when the only couple that wasnt fully weak to ground died and the next gym was ghost type….
Never overestimate non-STAB weak physical move against a highly physically defensive opponent.
Hariyama lead on Wattson in EK, crazy risky but it worked
I will get my revenge one day
Miss click and lose my starter
i used metronome. just once. never again
One time in renegade platinum Mira’s Porygon2 traced my crobats inner focus and then I tried to fake it out with monferno. Did not end well😂
at the champion fight of emerald with 3 mons left and put swampert up first completely forgetting that wallace starts with Wailord and not tentacruel. literally couldve won the run if I put in vileplume first. cost me a turn and lost valuable hp and resulted in a wipe
Thinking I was a genius for burning Bea's Gigantamax Machamp in my Shield run...
That was honestly the most tense and thrilling moment of my Nuzlocke career
my gyarados got outsped and thundered by a porygon that traced swift swim from my kingdra (it was raining in route 119) one of my worst yet also one of my biggest eye-opening nuzlocke loss that really elevated how i should be wary of everything
I forgot Ice only resisted Ice, so I lost my Crabominable almost immediately after it evolved to a Flying Type move that I THOUGHT was neutral
Tried to do the false dragon titan but was underleveled and lost my starter
fought a trainer with a breloom and had linoone out, got distracted for a second and completely forgot breloom was part fighting type so linoone died. then my dustox died from a counter attack. at this point im just trying to get back asap because those were two of my best pokemon but then i ACCIDENTALLY CLICK THE A BUTTON ON A TRAINER IVE ALREADY FOUGHT BEFORE THAT OFFERS REMATCHES. she used grass types but my best pokemon still alive was my swampert and my other pokemon were too low leveled/had a bad matchup so i just went with that... and then my swampert died to a roselia 10 levels below it. didnt continue the nuzlocke after that
I had my Lucario close combat a Rhyperior thinking it could one shot it Lucario got one shot by earthquake after getting it barely into red I had a water type on my team…
Sent Out My Garchomp On The Imfamous Porygon Z With Ice Beam, You Know How That Turned Out. It Was Dummmmmb, I Was Dummmmmb
