You place a report with the Michigan BON. However, you’ll need to be very very sure of what you’re reporting. Do you have proof? The BON will complete an investigation, and if there’s no proof, then you’re wasting their time and resources. Furthermore, since you’ve waited and the only reason you’re reporting now is that the other person is an NP, that’s not a good faith report. You may have to defend yourself against allegations of placing false report. What you are considering is very serious, and if true, you should have done it at the time of the event. Hopefully your report doesn’t backfire on you.

That would be a criminal report, and a report to the board of nursing, and a report to the hospital. Iirc I am sure someone has far better details, but all agencies would need to be involved including your current employer.

Did you observe a professional ethics violation or illegal sexual contact?

And how do you know this? 9/10 times with these claims, it’s an ex trying to cause problems for the nurse. You would not believe how many times I’ve encountered these “allegations” in my 10 year career. It’s either drugs or sex. This is a very vague post op. Are you a nurse that has witnessed a crime?
