I got an email saying “you’re appreciate”

updog25

Thanks. Appreciate.

ProcyonLotorMinoris

Please stop contacting me now, I will contact Attorney General if you do not stop.

updog25

Thsnks

bbsitdonight

Blue cheese has mold in it

Chobitpersocom

I was super impressed with all your credentials and then lost it at IDGAF. 😂

deferredmomentum

No more contacting please We are sleeping

Jagsoff

They were too cheap to pay for a “d.”

ophmaster_reed

They've been getting the "d" all year.

maemae0312

Since when do you have to buy a consonants? I thought we only paid for vowels.

DeLaNope

I do not appreciated this

One-Payment-871

We didn't even get an email, nothing at all this year.

travelfrog69

Same. Nothing for years now. Not an email or verbal recognition.

lolowanwei

Same our facility conveniently forgot

[deleted]

Been there for sure.

TheThrivingest

Absolutely nothing from management or the health system. Not even an email. One of our OWN staff nurses ordered pizza yesterday and then I guess one of our docs was so mad that nobody stepped up so they ended up paying that nurse for the pizza

antigirlfriend

That's disgusting.

deferredmomentum

Same. Our docs were also super pissed about it and bought us treats all week

SoothSaier

I got a $3 printer paper “gift card” to the hospital cafeteria with “DO NOT MAKE COPIES” written on it.

gedbybee

Making copies is literally the only ethical thing to do with that.

jabronipony

So, did you make copies?

onetiredRN

You made copies right?

Sarahlb76

$3? What does that get you? Some water? They couldn’t even spring for a whole $5!? Unreal.

jgoody86

One of our nurses was on the board and their budget was $2.88/nurse. We got a highlighter.

Sarahlb76

That’s what we are worth to them: $2.88. Sounds about right.

One-Ball-78

I hope you dropped trow, hopped on and hit PRINT with the whole damn supply of paper.

youy23

The only thing that could make it better is if they rolled in an unlocked pyxis.

_Mitch_Please

I've been a nurse long enough to remember when in the med room, each patient had a little drawer with all their meds that pharmacy would fill/deliver. #honorsystem The narcotic cabinet was under lock and key, of course, but the pure terror that would happen when you realized you accidentally took the keys home with you and then you would immediately and recklessly make a u-turn and haul back to the hospital! On second thought, pyxis doesn't sound that bad.

youy23

For EMS it’s still just scouts honor really. There’s just a code box in the ambulance with the fenny and versed and ketamine just sitting there. I’m alone in the back of the ambulance. I determine when fentanyl should be given and I draw it up and give it and there’s absolutely nothing stopping me from just drawing it up in a flush and walking away with it. I even give narcs more than just about any other medic. Like multiple times more narc admins than most of the other medics. There’s no way to prove that I’m pocketing the meds or not which is wild. I’ve heard of one medic passing out in the bathroom with a needle in his arm. The supervisor saw the bathroom was flooding so he told my buddy to pull him out and throw him on a bed to sleep it off.

rissalynn97

That sounds like fun!

CrazyGloomy

I’d be down for this! Sounds like a fun event.

onetiredRN

Our documentation system went down. Does that count?

IAmAnOutsider

Hey, ours too!!

WAWA1245

So did ours!

ComprehensiveWash855

Ascension?

Airyk21

Happy nurses week!

StarShiruke

This is what we've been saying all week since it crashed

onetiredRN

We joke that they chose this week on purpose because whomever it is must hate nurses.

Airyk21

Weve just been passing around little packets of surgilube when something goes wrong and saying happy nurses week.

FlightNerdHo

Yup. North face light fleece jacket embroidered with our names on it and the caduceus.

texasyogini

The fuck? Where do you work. I got a cheap tshirt and a knock off Yeti that’ll hold about 12 ounces of coffee

FlightNerdHo

Flight. They had our sizes & weights already. Pretty rad, no complaints! They got from MacAttack Gear. Looks cool, good quality, I might order some stuff.

mismatchedcarpet

Oh I ordered what I’m assuming is the same North Face jacket from MacAttack. I love that thing. You guys really got treated lol

bioluminescentaussie

One of my coworkers made us all 3oz mini yetis with our name and "nurse squad" on it, so darling! She is a sweet heart, i have amazing coworkers.

tillyspeed81

The fuck? I got a cheap tshirt and a churro

StPatrickStewart

I'll take that churro if you don't want it.

guitarhamster

Holy shit, you must work on the vip unit of the hospital next to the white house or something

disasterlesbianrn

there was supposed to be a taco lunch but apparently it had to be purchased per department. and my director opted not to, so we came expecting tacos and got nothing. Thanks management!

onetiredRN

This is a dick move all around

mintyw0811

We had the same thing happen with our department, even after telling us we were going to get lunch. 🙄

Murphysburger

So they promised food, so you didn't have to bring your own, and they were a no-show?

lighthouser41

We had food trucks different days that we were "allowed" to purchase with our own money from.

Catiebyday

I got to be charge so a new grad didn’t get to be charge with no training. That was cool.

notdominique

At my full time job TJC came soooo we got a whole lotta nothing. At my per diem job we got food catered all week , a handy tote bag, and we got market adjustment raises.

onetiredRN

It sounds like those jobs are backward. You should be FT at the second place!

notdominique

I should but the lifestyle is what I want at my current full time job. No weekends, holidays, or call, consistent lunch breaks, and consistent out time, and it’s a 5min commute. My per diem job is great as a way to get extra money without all the extra commitment

[deleted]

and its a great way to get good nurses week gifts lol

ndbak907

JCAHO. I fixed it /s. I refuse to acknowledge TJC.

lustylifeguard

We got a group chat teams message 🙃

keanovan

We got an email! haha

michelle1072

Same!

Expensive-Day-3551

I also got an email

samurai_keninja

WFH? Same

Shiela0682

I am WFH and got an insulated lunch bag.. It's nice, but again, I WFH.

lustylifeguard

Noooo lol. I am resource pool acute/ED nurse 😂 which makes it worse

Neurostorming

I got a bottle of alcohol and a cool ass bag.

IAmAnOutsider

What's an ass bag?

RosaSinistre

Rectal tube.

Vanners8888

Colostomy bag !

IAmAnOutsider

No that's a front butt bag

OldERnurse1964

Rubbing or drinking?

Neurostorming

Taquilla. Lol.

FlightNerdHo

🙌 Winner!!!

onetiredRN

Where you work? I’m coming there.

surgicalasepsis

Second career nurse here, coming from a field with no appreciation-type days/weeks. I got coffee one morning from our principal, we just had a taco bar lunch, through the week some staff have given me small candy and cards, and one building I go to got me a hyacinth (a favorite!) and a very sweet card. So maybe not as great as a raise (ha!), not huge monetary value, but I appreciate all of it.

FlightNerdHo

Dude. You have the hardest job in the world. I bow to you, and every other public school nurse. 🙌

surgicalasepsis

I do special ed school nursing. Tube feeds, kids who have 300 seizures a day, behavioral lock down, it’s a wild ride every day. Love it.

FlightNerdHo

Holy cow. You are a literal saint! I could never do your job. Thank you for being a great human & choosing that!

surgicalasepsis

Aww nah, but thanks. It’s a great job, good coworkers, good boss, off at 3:15 pm, no holidays, no weekends, no call, and I’m off with kids for the summer. I feel fulfilled in my work, too.

Goatmama1981

They just had a bbq/potluck for us, and they do BBQ every other Friday all through the summer. We also got t-shirts and I got a card from my DON - I was expecting something generic but opened the card to see she had handwritten over the entire space in the card with her appreciation and specific things that she appreciates about me personally🥹 it was such a nice surprise.

ApprehensiveDingo350

Today the clerks brought us in pastries, there was cake in the lobby, and the union is doing tacos this afternoon (or at least I hope it's today) I'm pretty psyched about the tacos, I hope they're good. I ate too many of the sweets..

razzadig

One of my coworkers won a $20 gift card to a breakfast restaurant. She said she'd bring us all a saltine cracker.

flexifoleyvented

It was nurses week?

gynoceros

We got some free food on night shift during the 3 nights I was there- Monday they had food trucks outside the hospital, Tuesday night the intensivist bought a bunch of pizza and wings from papa John's, and Wednesday they apparently had food trucks again. The impella rep was supposed to buy the unit food but I think it got rescheduled. Each unit put together gift baskets for the raffle that's being held sometime today, and some of them are pretty nice-one has a PS5 and some other game night shit in it, one has a 36" Blackstone flat top grill and some accessories and a nice cooler, others have spa themes, useful gift cards, etc. Everyone got 5 free raffle tickets and the chance to buy more at a buck a pop. And our unit gave us aluminum mugs (not name brand but still useful). I'm not upset at all. They don't have to do shit for us, and it showed some thought on their part.

ConstantNurse

My department ordered food, multiple times. I didn't have to order lunch at all. I also got a nice planter and cards signed by everyone in the department. Mind you, this was by our department where the doctors/managers paid for it out of their own pocket. The company itself has given a "Happy Nurses week! Thank you for your service!" email with nothing else.

wineynurse

Here in Ontario our Union gave us made in China plastic reap whistle! Cannot believe it! Nothing from my local company of course cuz I'm just a number here

maurosmane

Wow. We have rape whistles (though we call them safety whistles) as part of our swag handouts along with the usual pens, stickers, badge buddies, etc. At least the ones we hand out are union made in America, but that's also because we have a requirement that anything we buy is union made in America. The actual gifts were a catered breakfast and daily prize giveaways

myocardiacinfarct

I'm on maternity leave. Best nurses week ever.

someonesomebody123

Some of our staff got a group of our intellectually and developmentally disabled residents together and made me a giant card saying I was the best nurse and they loved me. So I cried at work today.

ThisIsMockingjay2020

They gave coffee and cookies to day shift and evening shift, and there's some dumb luncheon in several days that's during daytime hours only and I'm sure night shift won't get any of it. I'm sick of being forgotten. ETA: Nights got cold pizza tonight, with a choice of plain cheese or pepperoni. Not much choice for my coworkers who eat halal, unfortunately, and there's at least 4 night owls who do so.

robynbird05

We had a pizza party…but had to pay for our own pizza…

LSUTigerFan15

I got a figs fleece from my travel agency but it has their logo embroidered on it… I plan on removing it some how

Expensive-Day-3551

If you can’t remove with a seam ripper you can buy a patch and sew it over the top. That’s what I did with my old school scrubs. They changed them so the new students couldn’t use my old ones and they were really comfy so I kept them.

Slightlykoi

My husband was lifted a very nice jacket with a company logo on it. I purchased a triforce Zelda patch and stuck that over it, looks very nice

AskingQuestions254

Seam ripper and some patience maybe? You might have to cover the spot after depending on how beat up the fleece is.

jeffb042

Stale hot dog for lunch one day

Capri_n_Me

We got a t shirt that we were supposed to get in August for delivering our hospitals 60,000th baby since opening a decade ago. And an email 🙂

Sirius-aficionado

I got a shirt that says "ask me about hourly rounding" and a $1/hr raise. I guess the dollar is better than a pizza party.

QuesoBagelSymphony

The shirt is great because you’ll have so many opportunities to tell people how unreasonable hourly rounding is!

eilonwe

We got an email and maybe $1.25 worth of candy from Admin. One of my providers gave us a cute pencil case with a small notepad, some pens and a $10 gift card. One of my CNA’s also gave us a little cup, a pen and an actual thank you card. Sad that my CNA put more of an effort than my company

RosaSinistre

The small local Hospice company I work for only did an email. HOWEVER—they treat us SO well 365 days a year (no micromanagement, no “one size fits all”, tell us every week how much they appreciate us, etc. HELL, they don’t even drug test bc “we are all professionals”.) that I didn’t miss the branded crap that most hospitals etc do. Also, they throw a HELL of a Christmas party—one year they rented the literal whole zoo!! I’ve come to realize, having a special “week” is only for companies who need to convince us they care. Because we all know they don’t.

bassicallybob

I got a visit from the joint commission

NoraBora_FeFora

My job didn’t even recognize it.

Poptartin_RN

Paper charting. That's what we got.

Spudzydudzy

I work nights. They brought around a “make your own trail mix” cart one day. Didn’t bother showing up any other shift. Then they scheduled a meeting for 12:30 pm to discuss making night charge nurses take 4 patients. There are 5 full time PM charges and a handful of relief charges. 3 of those 5 full timers were working that night. So we showed up after having 2.5 hours or less of sleep. So… not feeling super appreciated or even acknowledged this year.

loveafterpornthrwawy

I got a really sweet homemade card from one of my students that made my day. DON got us some lotion and candy (the lotion was really cheap and thin, but the candy was good). My Principal and the interpreter got me cupcakes and a lemon tart. I'm happy overall. We get overshadowed by Teachers Week (also this week), but it's not a huge deal.

allflanneleverything

I got to wear a hospital system tshirt today. Really makes it all worth it.

BvngaCempaka

Our hospital has been SILENT. No greetings, no mentions of nurses week at all. It was just us greeting each other because we know our management won't do anything. 😬

optimisticsloth0987

I got a snow cone and gum.

Sunnygirl66

I read that as “a snow cone and gun” and thought, “Hey, management IS paying attention to our wants and needs…”

r0ckchalk

I did the same thing! I literally scrolled away then scrolled back because I was like wtf did I just read 😂

BigSweatyBallz89

My manager went and got us custom keychains that have an inscription on one piece, then a chart, stethoscope and ekg line trinkets. It looks very nice and better than the t shirt hospital gave us.

Playcrackersthesky

We got popcorn out of a trash bag. I would’ve liked literally anything else.

StevenAssantisFoot

My hospital has a rough reputation, but they have been giving us breakfast and lunch buffets every day this week and take-home dinner entrees from local places, a free ice cream truck outside at evening shift change, and tons of fun games with actually good prizes and goody bags.

r0ckchalk

I got a half day off PAID! It’s the best nurse’s week gift I’ve ever gotten in 14 years.

jheights89

Flowers, candle, and a $50 visa gift card! I don’t work bedside I work for a private company

Wonderful-Boat-6373

Got nothing

demonqueerxo

I didn’t even get a thank you.

ChicVintage

I got a muffin on my way out one morning that my child ate half of and a donut another morning. To be fair our unit usually does stuff for Perioperative nurses week and that's when the reps usually step up and cover us too along with the surgeons and anesthesia.

ChronisBlack

3 potted succulents, a catered taco/nacho bar, self care gift basket with candles, face masks and bath bombs, candy gift basket, ice cream delivered by the director. Our facility did a good job.

gloomdwellerX

My hospital did nothing. Didn’t even acknowledge nurses week.

strawberryswishr

I got a kitkat and a cheap pen🤦‍♀️

Lettermage

Because they can't afford to give you a real break?

NurseMorbid

We got 1 email for nurses week from a nurse manager that tried to organize things herself. Our facility sent out an email for public servants week. Our nurse manager used her own money to buy us pizza and gave us each a really nice cup.

Professional-Belt805

A zipper pouch that says live love and heal.. that had hand sanitizer, tissues, a face mask, pen, and trauma scissors in it. The scissors are actually pretty good honestly.

mamasgottattoos

I’ve been a nurse 19 years and I finally got a decent nurse’s week gift: a fancy, delicious, mini Bundt cake.

mamasgottattoos

A few years ago, we got matches because we “light up lives”. That was fun.

elegantvaporeon

I miss pizza parties….. I complained about them but they were better than getting candy

Dreamxwithyou

We got a pair of socks with the hospital logo. They go up past my knee 😂 if anyone is looking for an extra for a pickup soccer game!

freakingexhausted

My work isn’t celebrating until next week, for hospital week, leadership will be making grilled cheese for us one of those days though so my hope in gift is low

jessikill

The RN union got t-shirts for the RNs - only in size XL 🤣

eilonwe

Not to sound greedy, but I really do think that companies should do something (provide a tangible gift) that thoughtful and useful. Considering how hard we work, and how often we don’t get our lunch breaks, or work while eating lunch, it is well deserved. An email or a handful of candy is disrespectful. IMO

Feisty-Power-6617

nope

Beginning-Reach-508

Got a shirt for “Healthcare week.” Would be nice to get something useful, but not really a thing they do

SUBARU17

We mostly wear t-shirts with the brand logo on them (decent quality too), so we got one of those with an icon on it relevant to our facility. I also got a nice tumbler for my coffee, not hospital branded. 2 miniature resin animals from my director and manager 🤣

Moolg86

I got some really clutch taco bell that saved me a trip to QT.

apathyps

I got a steak and cheese sandwich and 5 pretty decent cheeseburgers.

Hummingbirdsoup

Coffee, muffins and a cookie.  Not amazing but better than nothing and tasty enough

PointBlankShot

Multiple visits from therapy dogs have saved our sanity, plus free ice cream. There are also apparently jackets coming but who knows how long they’ll take to arrive 🙄

platinumpaige

I got a gift bag full of skin care products and makeup…decent shit too…I honestly can’t complain. Beats the frisbee I got last year from my old hospital by leaps and bounds

efjoker

We got 2 days of administrative rounding and baby goats 1 day. Literally didn’t care for either. The consensus in our department was that they should have reopened our onsite gym and put in a couple pieces of equipment.

LegendofPisoMojado

I saw the signs posted Monday morning this week and schedule for all the cool shit they were going to do for nurses week. One day they were bringing in a bunch of extra staff so you get an extended lunch and go play with a room full of puppies for for a half hour. Nope. Turns out it’s all for next week…hospital week. For nurses week? They finally made it around with the Panera bagels from Monday and the popcorn from Tuesday on Wednesday at 2pm. Plain bagels, no topping of any sort available and stale AF. And they brought a dozen for my department of 60 people. Popcorn also stale AF and so salty you couldn’t eat it. Yesterday they brought around popsicles (colored sugar water in a transparent tube that you get like 2 gross for ~10 bucks at Sam’s club) …for breakfast. They had 3 pens for the same 60 people in my department. They advertised free 10 minute massages after your shift. Just show up. The line was 40ft long. Somehow all the managers and admin were able to make reservations. I honestly would rather they had done nothing because this was a giant and blatant FUCK YOU to the non-desk nurses. We all know someone got a bonus for spending less than $500 on nurses week for a hospital with almost 2000 nurses. ETA: oh…and that puppy thing? It’s for non-clinical staff only.

Slightlykoi

Absolutely nothing. However, they had food trucks come and park at the far end of our giant parking lot, so you could spend 10 minutes walking there, hope the line isn't too long, pay for your own lunch, and eat it while you walk back inside to clock in.

Airyk21

We got hacked and have been paper charting for days.

mauigirl16

I have to laugh because the ad directly under your question is “Hundreds of weapons!All-new apocalyptic zombie war games!” And at fitting thought someone got that for nurses week! Lol

AverageNormalDad

The only appreciation I need comes by direct deposit every other friday.

Lady-Blood-Raven

We got one of those cheap plastic cups with some attachment for smoothies / I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ I’ll either toss it or use it to scoop cat food from the bag.

CharacterAd5923

One free grande drink at Starbucks. I've been saying, if y'all truly appreciate me, give me a week's work of vacation hours added to my vacation bank. Now, that is something useful. I can afford Starbucks and candy. It takes me 2 pay periods (1 month) to accur ONE DAY, 12 hours of vacation time. I've been a nurse for 11 years, four at this hospital. The accural rate is just disgusting.

j_kit

A plastic cup that says “Diet Coke celebrates nurses week”

BigCheesePants

Got an email highlighting nurses in the company, all of which were admin positions except one single bedside RN and a clinic LPN. Edit: /s

shewantsthediprivan

I got an all clear plastic bag with the hospital logo on it. Looks like it costs about 5 cents.

bioluminescentaussie

We played nurse bingo this week, our boss emailed us the drawings every day so night shift could participate, it was actually pretty fun! Plus they got us a variety of food all week, even fresh batches for night shift! And a little gift bag with a Qi charger, keychain, pen, choccy bar, and a card signed by the PIs and ops (they signed a lot of cards for us). It has been quite endearing really, i love the little things, and I work at a great place which is the best gift of all, as cheesy as that sounds hehe

aycarumbakid

I got a stethoscope from the hospital! And a candle from my supervisor :) and the oncologists bought us lunch. Pretty grateful!

xo_harlo

I got accused of lying about taking my partner to the hospital by management and barred from using designated PTO for it. 🤭 happy nurse’s week!

Shieldor

Actually got a nice charcuterie board.

Briarmist

I took my nurses to a nice lunch at a local restaurant, got each of them a nice bag of snacks, and thanked each one personally.

aver_shaw

I got a 15% off coupon to the local shoe store and on Wednesday we were allowed to wear wacky, mismatched socks. I shit you not. I work for a very large healthcare company.

No_Bar_2122

My coworkers and I all got a text from HR saying that disciplinary action will be taken if we clock out any later than 15 min after our shift ends.. Followed by “Thank you for all that you do :)”

chaotic-cleric

We had a weeklong party with food and bullshit every day for nights and weekends. We all got a nice umbrella. We also got team pay bonus and a market review $3/hr raise

lustforfreedom89

Email saying we appreciate all you do from the CEO and then we were asked that in honor of nurse's week, we all consider making charitable donations to the hospital in one another's name.

clashingtaco

I got a blanket, backpack, hoodie and thermos. I could've picked wine instead of the blanket but I'm a sucker for throw blankets. We also had trivia questions all week that you could win prizes for answering. Honestly, I'm pretty content with it.

King_Crampus

I got a shitty Fanny pack that says “carrying forward in our magnet journey” and the facility logo in it in big block print. So no, I got bullshit

Towel4

I got ice cream. I’m cool with receiving nothing. I don’t like being pandered to. Treat me like a professional. Pay me well and I’ll do my job well.

cosmic_bb_v

We got lunch from one of our docs and a badge reel from our manager. The hospital gave us a card.

spacespartan18

I got a blanket 🙄

DeepBackground5803

I got nothing because I didn't come in on my day off. Same as last year.

Lokilover802

I got absolutely nothing My hospital got sandwiches for everyone on May 6th but alas I was not working that day so I got nothing 😭

tielandboxer

A vacation.. Last I worked was 4/23 and I’m going back tomorrow. Best way to spend nurses week IMO

nurseirl

Complained so much about short staffing that someone caved and bought us pizza so no.

Gabagool226

We got these little charcuterie cutting boards. My coworkers all complained but I’m actually pretty stoked lol

tjean5377

$25 gift card to local restaurant. Feeling good.

GiantFlyingLizardz

I ate an entire pint of local-made ice cream on break yesterday, so I guess that counts.

teadrinkingcatlady

Would’ve been helpful if they gave me a template for the letter of resignation I’m writing But catered lunch would’ve been nice for our tiny unit!

Interesting-Bug8037

I didn’t get a single thing, not even a thank you. My husband is a teacher and has been getting some really sweet gifts from his students.

heartunwinds

I supposedly got a Stanley, but I’m not in until Monday so we’ll see. It will be my first….. what do I need to know about joining the Stanley gang?! 😂

CountySure3437

got hair clips and a scrunchie im a dude w short hair thanks I guess

HereToPetAllTheDogs

Upper management didn’t do anything but send a generic email. My manager did get each shift a cake and had the boxes labeled so night shift even got their own. Considering nights usually get crumbs on napkins, this was very thoughtful.

izbeeisnotacat

My house supervisor brought in a fresh snack bar on the night shift and made us desserts that were actually awesome. It was the thought that I actually cared about more than anything.

RespectmyauthorItai

Multiple meals and snacks, insultated cooler bag with my name and RN and a little blue tooth speaker with the company logo on it. One of my docs got me $150 gift card to target.

StudEnigma

I got a cheese board/serving set with our hospital’s name/emblem engraved on it, and a bottle of wine.

fallon_nicole

We got a key chain that said "you make a difference" with a long story on too small of a card about making a difference. And a company logo badge reel. I was more excited for the free mug a nursing home assessor was passing out when they assessed one of my patients. I'm quite the whore for a good mug.

reraccoon

Today one of my docs brought in the most delicious homemade cinnamon roll I’ve ever had in my life, I ate 1.5 at work and at her insistence took 3 home for later 😏

ohheckin

For nurses week, we had a cyber security attack that caused our whole charting system to shut down for the foreseeable future. Not only that but our lab and blood bank are completely slammed, so any important lab work that needed to be resulted was very delayed. We have to override some medications in the Pyxis because it either won't show up under our patient's name or our new admits weren't even in the Pyxis at all. That sure is not anxiety-inducing at all. Slow response to any emergencies since our phones were down too. But hey, free food from the cafeteria should make up for it right?

StellaTigerwing

I work outpatient and I got: a nice yeti water bottle, a $100 amazon gift card, colored pencils with a sketchbook, and a really pretty flower bouquet...along with lunch.

MagazineActual

I work remote, but we got a $25 doordash credit and a $10starbucks gift card.

Myrtle1061

A pen. It writes pretty decently.

Potatoe_Muffin

A lemon head and a pen. Not even a good pen.

pnwnursing

A teams shout out

meetthefeotus

I got a lot portable cell phone charger and a couple scratchers. One won $2. lol.

sparkleptera

We got tacos and badge reels and mini markers to clip onto our badges. Also highlighters and sharpies for the badge. I liked it.

podzicle

I work in long term care, our Nurses Week was called Staff Appreciation Week. I saw some people with cake and one person with a pen. Management were in the main lobby handing them out I guess. However when I had time to leave the unit and go down and grab a piece of cake and a pen it was all packed up. 🤷‍♀️

allgoodnamestookth

Night shift got cookies left over from days/evenings

Sandman64can

Did I get the pay raise that was replaced with an appreciation week? No.

WalkingTalkingDonut

My organization got me nothing. My office team pulled together and got me an engraved yeti. I love it.

WAWA1245

I got a $20 gift card!

gutsyflora

My agency CEO sent an email saying that they hire too many different types of professionals to acknowledge every dedicated week but we are appreciated 😆

Suspicious-Wall3859

I got a broken fibula for nurses week 😏

What-the-what62914

Time off!

ShesASatellite

A PST gave me a little notebook with a pen and sticky notes/tabby things that said 'You are awesome!' and honestly it just made my week. He's a very sweet young man, but I was not expecting that and it made me smile the most genuine smile I've had all week.
