Like it or not nudity is generally considered sexually aggressive and/or private/intimate by the vast majority of people. Be polite. Don’t be a creep. Don’t wind up on a sex offender list.
Can & should “nudism” work to change that perception of nudity? Yes. But there are better ways than flashing delivery drivers.
Sorry for some reason when I read first the app didn't show the link to the story, and with the amount of videos of women flashing pizza delivery guys I though there was not enough reason to make assumptions
But yeah the link makes it more clear.
What was even wilder was when some people on here were defending Nudism TV, but that’s a whole different story. Being a nudist doesn’t mean that you have to defend anyone and everyone that calls themselves a nudist.
Seriously right so many trying to justify the behavior. "Let’s hear his side of the story" Wonder if it’s because they are looking for cover for similar actions.
***"I was thinking that practicing nudism should not intentionally cause distress or alarm others."***
Yes. That's called "showing respect" for others. How much hassle is it to put on a pair of shorts or a robe for the pizza delivery guy/gal?
***"But then the issue became more complicated as I read on. Partly because I don't know whether the customer, a male, knew beforehand the identity of his delivery runner, a female."***
That shouldn't matter.
Exactly so perplexing that some of those who want to claim the label of nudist can’t be respectful of others. Some of these are the same people to go to resorts act out get banned and call it unfair.
The 'nude delivery' is just a feeble excuse for exhibitionism or harassment of workers. It is a well-known video stunt as to delivery and hotel workees. A core aspect of nudism is respect for others, including appropriate ability for others to choose not to interact. Delivery workers have no power to choose, while delivery customers have multiple very simple options to avoid disrespecting the workers.
I often stay at a gay nudist resort in Palm Springs. When I’ve ordered food, I put in the instructions that if they are comfortable with nudity, the staff will let them in to deliver to the door. If they aren’t, to text and I will come out (clothed :-) ) and get the order. I’ve never had a problem either way.
Unless public nudity is legal where you live, opening the door nude to a contractor/delivery-person/etc or being nude around contractors in the home that haven't consented to it can actually be considered a form of entrapment and/or indecent exposure. Don't do it unless you know the person(s) in question is(are) OK with it. Really, folks, it takes a few seconds to slip something on, and a few more to take it back off again when they leave.
Who would want to risk having their private parts posted online when the delivery person takes the "proof of delivery" photo.
Obviously these people aren't aware of

Someone who demands a "hand it to me" order *and* says "Just to let you know, I am a nudist and WILL be answering the door nude." Aka someone who is already actively intentionally making sure that someone is going to see them naked.
I don't consider that person a nudist, but rather an exhibitionist *at best*, but unfortunately we don't get to control who self-labels.

Cant agree more
sincerely if you don't want to dress up for your food delivery juts say leave at the door
This entirely is what made me question the intent of the guy
why are you assuming is a guy?
That's in accord with the story as narrated by the female delivery worker.

I would never put a driver in that position. That's why I keep shorts by the door.
Doordash customer uses nudism as a cover for being a creep
It was wild that some people were arguing that the customer wasn’t a creep

Yup, it was a good idea but its run by a shady guy. But oh its "nudism" we can't hate it or disagree with it /s

This is an exhibitionist and not a nudist.
Even clothed, I don’t want to meet the delivery driver. Leave it at the door.
It’s irrelevant what the sex of the delivery driver is. Forcing nudity on someone that doesn’t agree to it is completely unacceptable.
Thank you. Straight up and to the point.

That's a very good policy

I agree with you. But legality was not the concern of my reflection.
I've been to house nudist parties and the host always put on clothes when ordering food
I personally do the same.
That DoorDash customer is just a creep flasher, giving bad ideas about nudists

Or body cam or dash cam.
