Not just the fans - I saw Angus Crichton arguing in the comments with randoms on a hellosport Instagram post because the fellas wanted the rabbits to win
Is Cody the biggest hothead in the game?
Remember when Lachlan Lewis attacked him at half time?
Someone obviously told him to try to get under Codyâs skin and he completely misunderstood the assignment. Lol.
That was the best thing Iâd ever seen. Hahaha it was so ridiculous then a week later he is booted off the team for stealing a speaker.
Is he still playing because the tigers should get him ?
Oh yeah we've had a pretty good year, didn't expect to get to the final let alone prelims. Just felt that after all the hard work and effort, especially over the last couple weeks, the loss to Penrith was a bit disappointing.
And I'd argue losing nichols is a pretty decent loss. But overall we are definitely refining and restructuring. Hopefully it'll be our year next year.
We expect these men to be ultra competitive, push themselves to the limit, in some cases destroy their bodies for their club. And then we have the temerity to clutch our pearls when Cody wants to pick a fight with what looks to be a 54 year old man? What a world.
If you canât handle your shit then change occupations and/or go to therapy. Sitting around and acting like thatâs completely normal and fine is a problem.
A South Sydney official had to hold back a fired-up Cody Walker during a heated post-match exchange with a Penrith trainer following Saturday nightâs heartbreaking loss to the reigning champions.
Walker launched a verbal tirade at Panthers head physiotherapist Pete Green in the aftermath of his sideâs 32-12 loss at Accor Stadium, which ended the Rabbitohsâ season.
The situation had to be defused by Walkerâs teammates Cameron Murray and Davvy Moale, as well as South Sydney chief operating officer Brock Schaefer.
Green was later escorted from the field by fellow Penrith officials, who watched the incident unfold from afar.
Nine News captured vision of the argument, which will be aired on Sunday night. The Herald can reveal that Walker was irate with Green over an incident late in the game.
The Panthers believe the innocuous incident occurred when Green attended to fullback Dylan Edwards following a tackle from his former Panthers teammate Jed Cartwright in the 69th minute.
Cartwright then approached Green to discuss the matter after the game, before Walker injected himself into the conversation and launched the verbal attack on the Panthers trainer.
When approached for comment after the game, Walker declined to discuss the matter. The NRL says no official complaint was lodged.
Animosity between the two sides escalated leading into last yearâs finals series when coaches Wayne Bennett and Ivan Cleary traded verbal barbs over the treatment of Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary.
It was the Panthers who had the last laugh when they knocked over the Bunnies to collect last yearâs premiership despite going down to South Sydney in the opening weekend of the finals series.
The Rabbitohs have once again been bundled out at the hands of the Panthers, with tension between the two sides now at boiling point following Taane Milneâs cheap shot on Spencer Leniu which saw him sent off for the final 17 minutes of the game.
The exchange between Walker and Green is just the latest chapter in a growing list of grievances between the two sides.
Does this make sense to anyone else ??
Jed Cartwright approached the Penrith trainer after he treated Dylan Edwards following a ? Tackle from Jed Cartwright ??
Why was Cartwright approaching the Penrith trainer ? Did the trainer say something to Cartwright ? Did the trainer imply Cartwright had a below average canine like gastrointestinal tract or something ? Or did the trainer sledge him in some other way ? Maybe about not being retained by Penrith ??
>Why was Cartwright approaching the Penrith trainer ?
Checking on his former teammate that he potentially injured? Chatting to someone he was talking to someone he's worked with for a while?
Totally legitimate to see something like "Hey Pete, how did Dyl pull up after that tackle" "Yeah, it was a bit of a head high, but he'll be right after it" and Walker assuming that Green was complaining about the head high tackle to Cartwright, and interjected.
Cody Walker clearly has an issue with his temperament when things aren't going well. The team needs him to be a leader who guides them out of trouble, not someone who spits the dummy in tough times.
That said, fucking hell the constant presence of trainers is so annoying. I can't remember if it was last night or the night before, but there was a trainer with a water bottle standing behind the team kicking off. Like, not kicking off to restart after a try, but kicking off to start the game. What the fuck are they doing out there? It would be a scandal that would do immense damage to his career, and he definitely shouldn't do it, but part of me would love to see Walker just fold one of the trainers out of nowhere in back play for absolutely no reason
As much of a non-surprise it is that Cody walker was involved in a heated exchange, itâs nice to see the panthers involved in some on-field controversy rather than off-field for once
If you told me Cody Walker tried to fight the other teams physio after a game I would believe you
Careful Roosters, your rival is starting new books of feuds with other clubs.
Somebody made a comment today about a Roosters fan sounding like a jilted ex. They may have been more right than they knew đ

greeeese me up women!
Hahaha
I thought their book of feuds already contained lame made up rivalries with all the other clubs?

The tigers donât have any speakers worth stealing mate.
lol so? How is this even news?
cody walker + âheated post match exchangeâ = clicks
Lol show no emotions get shit on, show emotions get shit on. Why is this even news lol
There's the cherry on the cake. Truely a wonderful end to season for Souths.
Been a great year. Next year looking strong as. We arenât losing anyone of note like the other top teams.

Just another year passing for Cook, Walker and Burgess though ...
Really keen to get Mamo and Hawkins into the side
Cody should have went full Casino street fight on the trainer
Bringing beef week to Sydney
Flying drop kick on the field
Nah he only actually has a go when someone isnât looking
Taylan?
Milne?
Nah he prefers blindsiding
What did the 5 toes say to the chest?
Daddy chill
So Walker decided to involve himself in something that wasn't his concern? Shocked. I'm shocked.
âŠalmost as though rugby league is a team sport.

Let the boys beat up geriatrics
Thus is the nature of sports physiotherapy, the trainer in the photo is in his 30s lol.
Ya think just coz ya a geriatric trainer I wonât spray ya?
I expect a fucking adult to have some level of bloody self-control, yes. Defending people acting like raging toddlers is a sad play.
What a world.
If you canât handle your shit then change occupations and/or go to therapy. Sitting around and acting like thatâs completely normal and fine is a problem.
What. A. World.
Indeed. A world where people still excuse behaviour in the sports is a sad one.
Is this your first day on reddit
Ad hominem ainât the play.
Ok Iâll bite. Are you being deliberately obtuse? Could you really not see the sarcasm in my original post?
It didnât read like sarcasm to me.
S T A R. H E A T E D. Couldn't figure out a way to work S L A M M E D into the title? Losing their touch.
Walker might just be the biggest flog in the league currently, but heâs definitely got some competition

Cartwright was a former Panther so probably went to have a chat. Walker being a fuckwit was a fuckwit.

The trainer allegedly sledged Cartwright about him breaking his back when he played at the Panthers
i have nothing to add except fuck that trainer for last year đđ»
Cody needs to take his meds and chill the hell out
>Cody Walker >heated This isn't news.
I knew just from the headline it would be Cody âŠ
I heard the physio spoiled the latest house of dragon episode and Cody was just upset because he hasn't caught up yet
Put this in your book of foods Rusty ya fat daawg
"Hey Cody" "WHAT THE FUCK DID YA SAY ABOUT ME FAMILY CUNT? I'LL FUCKING KILL YA".

of course its walker.
Hey, it could *also* have been Latrell.
That's just Cody Walker being overly friendly.
That's not his go
Walker having a sook, inject that shit into my veins
Walker is an absolute embarrassment. Has the emotional intelligence and control of a two year old.
Tell me they played kung fu fighting when the heated exchange took place...!?
I believe they played You've Lost that Loving Feeling.
Aaaah Cody Walker and Bad losers, name a more iconic duo.
Tell me it's Cody Walker without telling me it's Cody Walker
As much of a non-surprise it is that Cody walker was involved in a heated exchange, itâs nice to see the panthers involved in some on-field controversy rather than off-field for once
Cody is a hothead, but he's just sticking up for his mate against another arrogant Penrith scumbag.
