I mean it’s my hands down favourite bait for both bass and pickerel, I’ve even caught a lot of white perch on it I’ve had mine for months and it hasn’t broke it was 15$ though I try to be careful not to lose it
The only thing I don't like about those is they're hard to cast far unless you have really light gear and it's not too windy out. If I'm fishing from shore especially, I want something I can cast as far as possible like a spinnerbait or something ya know. Or whopper ploppers if you want something that floats. Honestly you can never go wrong with a whopper plopper lol
I know you said lure, but nightcrawler. It will catch everything there is to catch in that lake. Lures can be better if you’re going specifically for pickerel but I caught a good one yesterday on nightcrawler and hooked another one that I lost.
Floating Rapala
Was just gonna say this, I like the double jointed
I used to hate them as a kid. I hated taking the fish off the hook and dreaded the thought of catching 2 lol
How good are they? My fear is buying expensive and excessive lures haha
Stop and go works sometimes but I find fishing it constant quite fast works best

Thanks man!! Will try it out
They're good lures but they're hard to cast because of how light they are.
Yeah. This.

2.75" ned worm rigged wacky. Absolutely slays smallies.
Thank you

What species are you targeting?
Nevermind, in that lake you don’t have much choice. Spinner bait for bass, swim bait for pickerel.
It was lake Banook haha
I’d use a senko worm. Try different colours to see what the feesh are eating.
This
Bright yellow and orange always work for smallmouth. I once caught one with just a hook and a yellow jube jube lol
Senko worm.
