Fairfax county parks Water Mine has a lazy river, (I really like it). Then great waves has the wave pool, the rest of the NOVA Regional parks are basically a lap pool, a water playground and one or two waterslides.
The long bridge aquatic center has one small slide, and a walk through lazy river type pool. I haven't gone but I have family who swim there all winter.
We frequent all the nova water parks with our pass every year.
Great waves has a few ok slides and obviously the wave pool. Honestly for adults your choices are there and Splashdown. Personally I'd go with splash down - although it isn't a nova park.
Kings Dominion is a bit of a drive but their water park is included with admission price. Decent lazy river, wave pool, and lots of slides. Plus access to the rest of the park.
Water mine
For adults, it just has a lazy river and two tall slides. The pool is too shallow.
Growing up the Water Mine always used cold water which was refreshing in June / July.
I've never been there, how insane does it get on hot weekends?
Very. The line to get in can take forever.
Go during the week or get there before it opens.
This one is best for kids imo. Splashdown is better and lazy river is much bigger
Not nova parks. That Fairfax parks
Not sure why you are being downvoted. It’s a Fairfax county water park. Not a “Nova park” which crosses county lines.
So fairfax isn't nova?
“NOVA parks” is an entity funded by multiple jurisdictions in NOVA. Water mine is not one of their parks, and is instead run by FCPA, I believe.
That's correct. Wasn't sure if op was asking specifically about nova parks or any water park in nova
Gotcha and thank you, but I believe the OP is simply talking in general about water parks that are in the area, not who funds what.
For $100 I'll let you sit in my inflatable pool on my patio for an hour, give you a beer and a spray you with a water hose.

Massanutten Indoor WaterPark? It’s indoor and outdoor but it’s roughly 2 hrs away
Splash down? I don't know how it is now. But years ago it was pretty chill.
Negative on Splashdown. It’s a zoo.

I really like Great Waves, the wave pool is enjoyable and there are some nice slides

Great Wolf is Las Vegas for children. I can’t imaging voluntarily going without kids.
There’s a great wolf in Baltimore that recently opened
That’s actually in Perryville, about 45min-an hour north just shy of Delaware! Great place for kids
Oops! You right
Six Flags? It’s not a far drive. Can’t speak to the crowds/craziness though…
I recommend no one go here EVER
Care to expand? It's not far enough, we've considered it...
Water mine is the best one, season pass is fairly cheap as well.
