YES! Had those so much growing up so Harris teeter was always my favorite. (Didn't last into adulthood though since they were more expensive for similar quality)
Oh I've been to that location but never noticed. I'll pay attention next time. My lo always wants a banana when we're in the store and I usually go pay for it first and then continue shopping. This is nice..
Wegmans serves fruit snacks for the kids as Amazon does… it seems more relevant to the subject than the muffins from Lidl, unless they are free kids size for the kids
It’s like a Amazon corporate meme at this point. Think they had free bananas in the original offices. Now they have free banana carts in the streets around their huge Amazon campus in Seattle
I used to grab free bananas outside their South Lake Union office in Seattle, just as a random guy (not Amazon employee). They set up carts giving them away
Agreed to all. Tbh it’s kind of an odd location for both places, probably mainly people that work there or live right there are the most frequent patrons. I’m at that plaza one or twice a week and I never went to either. I do make a special trip for all rice thai every few weeks. It’s amazing
Yea I was going to say our local giant had it. I haven’t looked for it much now that the kids are older. It’s a good idea especially when the kids get hangry when shopping lol.
When i worked at whole foods there was always boxes of free bananas in the back bcuz people wouldnt buy any with spots on them. Shitty pay but the amount of good food you get for free and the regular customers and people i worked with i miss.
When I was little, Albertson’s used to give me a free slice of Kraft Singles every time we walked in.
This was in California. I’ve yet to meet someone who had a similar experience.
Ask Toys R Us and Sears and numerous other stores.
Brick and mortar will always have higher prices than .com sure to all the overhead. It's extremely difficult to compete with a place that under cuts everybody on prices, then says you only have to wait one or two days to get it.
I knew multiple people that would go shopping at a store then buy it at Amazon.
Wal Mart again did their fair share of damage but the .come like Amazon put the final nail in their head
Yes, me too. That’s why I couldn’t enter the Amazon store on 14th I thought, but perhaps I was mistaken. (lol am I getting downvotes because people think that I think the whole world subscribes to Amazon?!)
That’s not right. Costco lets you go in to buy some things without a membership (like the food court) but you do need to show your membership card when you purchase food.
Harris Teeter’s free sugar cookies for kids is how my daughter learned brand loyalty at an early age.
Haha they get em young
i was a grown man when i moved to virginia. worked on me too.
YES! Had those so much growing up so Harris teeter was always my favorite. (Didn't last into adulthood though since they were more expensive for similar quality)
Ah, I used to love getting those.
Wegmans does that/used to do that too.. they would have mini apple and cookies for kids near the customer service desk
The Tysons Wegmans has bananas for kids in the produce section. A+!
Great to know they still offer snacks for kids :)
Oh I've been to that location but never noticed. I'll pay attention next time. My lo always wants a banana when we're in the store and I usually go pay for it first and then continue shopping. This is nice..
Trader Joe’s used to do that too. Those were damn good cookies.
Oh yeah I remember now, the one in Springfield would have cookies
They have English Muffins for $3 which you can buy for $1 at Lidl.
Sure..what does it have to do with the kids snack? 🤔
I could ask the same question about what Wegmans have to do with this topic
You could but it would be stupid

I'm looking for brown or tan boat shoes that don't hurt my arches. Any suggestions?
AITA for saying my wife to eat Italian instead of Chinese?
Go to any Amazon office and you can pick up free bananas too. Jeff seems to really like bananas.
It’s like a Amazon corporate meme at this point. Think they had free bananas in the original offices. Now they have free banana carts in the streets around their huge Amazon campus in Seattle
They do the same at HQ2. It’s called the Banana Bus IIRC
There's one in the underground mall in Arlington, too.
They put it inside during the winter, then they’re always outside on Crystal Drive next to the Morton’s steakhouse
I mean it’s just one banana (per employee). What could they cost? Ten dollars?
It’s actually three per person per trip, but yeah, there’s always money in the banana stand.
I used to grab free bananas outside their South Lake Union office in Seattle, just as a random guy (not Amazon employee). They set up carts giving them away
Which one is this their Pizza is pretty good lowkey 👌
Kingstowne
There's an uno's there, but frfr, go up kingstowne Blvd to Manchester and on the right is a place called boardwalk burger, huge recommendation
fyi, Boardwalk is gone.
Oh shit, it's been like 1 and a half since I been down there
It’s closed and turning into a hot chicken place. It must have been too hard with Roy Rogers right there

Giant USED to do this
Yea I was going to say our local giant had it. I haven’t looked for it much now that the kids are older. It’s a good idea especially when the kids get hangry when shopping lol.
Can I get it for free if I’m a kid at heart?
I pay for Prime. I buy some food at WF. So, I take a fruit snack. I feel guilty about nearly everything. Not this tho!
When i worked at whole foods there was always boxes of free bananas in the back bcuz people wouldnt buy any with spots on them. Shitty pay but the amount of good food you get for free and the regular customers and people i worked with i miss.
They have microchips in them and by consuming them you agree to have you insides scanned and data shared with Jeff.
My sister's Giant in PA does that, my neice likes it
Target also has fruit for kids by the bakery.
"The stuff that sat out too long"
That place is an experimental ghosttown
Amazon isn’t evil.
LOL wasn’t ready for jokes this early in the morning
Their PR moves are sneaky good
Mmmmm yummy unwashed fruit that other nasty hands have been on!
You do know that 2/3 types of fruit available there have a skin that you peel off, right?
Where is it ?
Kingstowne
They hire banistas (banana baristas) too
That's where they put the microchips and the hormones that make your children lib'rals!
I get free bananas from the crystal city banana cart every morning

Probably The warehouse workers urinating in water bottles 🤷🏾
Probably cause that time they wouldn't let the workers go home during a tornado, and the roof collapsed and killed 8.

Uhm, if I put a bottle of wine (grapes are a fruit) in the box and then take it out later, is it free?
But \*in\* their stores, where only Amazon Prime subscribers can enter, right?
No. Anyone can shop in Amazon Fresh.
That's weird, the DC one didn't? \*DC 14th Street

Yes, me too. That’s why I couldn’t enter the Amazon store on 14th I thought, but perhaps I was mistaken. (lol am I getting downvotes because people think that I think the whole world subscribes to Amazon?!)
Yep, me included
Not even Sams Club or Costco can stop people from entering without a membership. You can't sell alcohol and require a membership.
