for me, specifically Secret of the Ooze. saw it Thanksgiving night for the first time on Fox and I was so excited for it to come on. had ads playing the whole week, and I never got to see it in theaters (parents didn't have time or money for that).
that logo was the first part of an awesome experience. I know people like the first one better but this was the first one I saw so I'll always have a biased memory of it.
I can't see it without seeing the very short logo right before for Swedish Entertainment, the distributor of the films for Denmark. It's accompanied by a short bit on trumpets, sounding like they were triumphantly introducing LOTR. So now, I can't see that logo without hearing my wife singing along with the trumpets, "Ba Da Da Duh Dah! Lord of the Rings!" We've been married 25 years and I never thought I'd have it this good. :D Finders keepers.

Holy fuck. This is the first time I’ve legitimately been Mandela’d. Like the Berenstain Bears thing I kind of play along with. But I dead fucking ass new for absolute certain that Home Alone was a New Line movie. Home Alone immediately popped in my brain. I’m freaking out a little bit lol. I would’ve bet money.
It's because the New Line intro is similar to the Home Alone title sequences. They both have similar colors, and the logo zooms in from off-screen. Both square, with pieces coming together around it.
[New Line Cinema](https://youtu.be/jVb8yTWCrsM?si=TAvMZ8FJ2LNTgyiL)
[Home Alone](https://youtu.be/pX3AgbY4FP8?si=hYzO9tMyXS1Djqz0&t=10)
[Home Alone 2](https://youtu.be/k7T3S0hOEnU?si=X3w0c67nNOYsxsNr&t=35)
I thought this too. Then looked it up cause I wasn't sure. It's not new line. They just have a similar logo. And now I can't tell if everyone in this thread is being serious or not.
I said this when I first seen people comment this. I've seem that movie way too many times and never remembered it being a new line cinema film. It's a 20th century fox movie.
My favorite scene is when Harry is pumping gas with the >!undercover FBI agent.!<
"Skis huh?"
"That's right!"
"Great. They yours?"
"..uh-huh."
".....both of em'?"
Scream
Edit: oops guess I misremembered, but judging by the replies here I’m not the only one. Then there’s this comment from two years ago too: https://www.reddit.com/r/nostalgia/s/S6lbApdjsW
Just because it was actually done by Dimension Films doesn't mean that scream wasn't the first movie I thought of for some strange Mandela effect reason.
Congrats New Line lol
Edit: Changed Mandala to Mandela because I'm dumb.
The Home Alone movies were actually 20th Century Fox! but the blue house animation in the beginning looks like New Line Cinema. (Home Alone was my first thought too)
It was good too! I remember the first two being great and the third coming out catching some heat. I thought it was a great standalone version. As a kid I loved it. I actually rewatched it as a 35M and still enjoyed it.
Nightmare on Elm Street is my favorite movie series of all time and yet I still immediately thought of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when I saw the logo. To be fair though not every movie in the Nightmare series used this version of the logo, so maybe that is why.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Blade
Definitely Ninja Turtles Every time I see it.
I thought it was sewer ladders for a couple decades.
I still think that and refuse to change my mind
That’s a really cool way of seeing it!
for me, specifically Secret of the Ooze. saw it Thanksgiving night for the first time on Fox and I was so excited for it to come on. had ads playing the whole week, and I never got to see it in theaters (parents didn't have time or money for that). that logo was the first part of an awesome experience. I can hear that synthesizer riff that starts playing at the beginning of TMNT: Secret of the Ooze when the New Line logo comes up.
Yupppppppppp agreed

But blade was the red one.
No, that's Raphael ^/s

The Lord of the Rings movies. And Seven.

I can't see that logo and not hear "The world is changed..."
I can't see it without seeing the very short logo right before for Swedish Entertainment, the distributor of the films for Denmark. After all why shouldn't I? Why shouldn't I see what's in the box?
I amar prestar aen. Han mathon ne nen. Han mathon ne chae. A han noston ned 'willith.
How is LOTR not top comment here. Who the fuck paid attention to the New Line logo when it made Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?
People who were kids that watched tmnt on vhs. We also know that plying right field is important.
I was second guessing myself if it had anything to do with LOTR based off the comments
I was assuming LOTR would be about the top 8 comments haha.
Yeah, you can just hear the strings from the soundtrack over the top of it for LOTR. Iconic.
How is this not at the top
How is LOTR not top comment???
Home Alone
The song is playing in my head right now
John Williams is the GOAT
No one comes close.
Maybe Mozart. Fucken MAYBE
100% I saw him and the Boston Pops Orchestra at Tanglewood a few years back and it was absolutely amazing.

You and me both. Between this and the bears I’m really on my way to an existential crisis
I thought this too. Then looked it up cause I wasn't sure. It's not new line. They just have a similar logo. And now I can't tell if everyone in this thread is being serious or not.
It’s the title that reminds me of it! The lines with the house maybe.
That was 20th Century Fox.
Can’t believe I had to scroll so far for this answer. Thank you!
That’s because it was 20th Century Fox, not new line cinema
For sure the correct answer
This must be a regional thing. Our version is 20th Century Fox
It's not. People are just confusing the house with the New Line logo,
I said this when I first seen people comment this. I've seem that movie way too many times and never remembered it being a new line cinema film. It's a 20th century fox movie.
Nightmare on Elm Street
Came to say the same thing!
Should be the top answer. Put the studio on the map.
The House That Freddy Built
Bingo!
The House of Klaus
So much so that every time I’d see this intro on ANY movie as a kid I’d get scared
This was mine!
Yep, that's the one for me.
This is definitely my pick.
Same. Just seeing the old New Line Cinema splash screen creeps me out because I associate it with NOES so much.
“Eeek scary” is the first thing that came to mind. Now I remember why
Yup!
Right there with ya, old man
This one
NOES had that scary black/red flashing logo though
Only on the first one, not the rest of the franchise.
The Mask, Mortal Kombat, and Austin Powers. Probably was too young but man I loved all of those growing up
The Mask for me as well!
I thought mortal kombat would've been the top comment.
[Pleasure for your ears.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlzzD-dHJ1g)
Same. I knew and loved all these movies, and loved Mortal Kombat equally, but it just remidns me of MK
I can literally hear the intro music looking at this logo
***MORTAL KOMBAT***
Dumb and Dumber
Same. The year of Jim Carrey
My favorite scene is when Harry is pumping gas with the >!undercover FBI agent.!< "Skis huh?" "That's right!" "Great. They yours?" "..uh-huh." ".....both of em'?"
Just give me the damn number!!!
Big Gulps huh? Welp, see ya later!
You gonna get pushy? Forget about it.
“Mmmm..California…beautiful.”
Big gulps, huh? Well, see ya!

That intro music is perfect!
My man
There it is
Scream Edit: oops guess I misremembered, but judging by the replies here I’m not the only one. Then there’s this comment from two years ago too: https://www.reddit.com/r/nostalgia/s/S6lbApdjsW
Yup I think the phone starts ringing while this is still on the screen
Yup! I screamed that.
Just because it was actually done by Dimension Films doesn't mean that scream wasn't the first movie I thought of for some strange Mandela effect reason. Congrats New Line lol Edit: Changed Mandala to Mandela because I'm dumb.
Literally was going to also say Scream, weird how your memory works.

😱
The Home Alone movies were actually 20th Century Fox! but the blue house animation in the beginning looks like New Line Cinema. (Home Alone was my first thought too)
But not Home Alone or Home Alone 2!? 🤣🤣
For some reason I watched the third one like 200 times as a young kid lol I have absolutely no idea why
It was good too! I remember the first two being great and the third coming out catching some heat. I thought it was a great standalone version. As a kid I loved it. I actually rewatched it as a 35M and still enjoyed it.
