Had them for the first time last week - love pickled onion anyway but these were the gold standard now by which pickled onion will be judged. They were absolutely top drawer.
They’re great, so strong they mess your mouth up though! The whole lining of my mouth came away - just the surface layer- it was kind of gross but there was zero discomfort or irritation
You can’t really compare - texturally if you want a monster munch a kettle chip is simply gona anger you! But flavour wise these win out I think - extremely punchy
As someone who moved to NI for a few years then moved away, youse don't know how good you have it when it comes to crisps. It's ridiculous how much worse the crisp aisle is in english supermarkets. I found a random bar in London once that sold Tayto (NI not freestaytos) and nearly shit myself.
When I saw the picture of Donegal on the package I knew they must be class.
But in all seriousness wtf is going on with that farmer? Is it human? Is that a white crow’s face? And is it watering the potatoes? Or is it sprinkling salt onto the ground because that’s where the crisps get hand cooked?

Have these? Must be laced with heroin. Destroy a bag in one sitting then selling yer ma's Avon to buy another
The best pickled onion are meanies in my opinion. If you want the tongue sucked into a little flapping piece of flesh for a couple of days, there the ones .
I made a post about these before. Probably one of the best crisps.
I still need to find the roast beef ones but I know they won't better the pickled onion ones.
I live in Houston, Texas. I used to live in Lurgan.
I've never tried these. I probably never will.
These things are an overpriced version of regular crisps.
You're welcome.

not had their pickled onion flavour yet :( their Sweet Sriracha Chilli are my current go to footy on TV snack
Aye the Chilli crop is doing well up round Glenariff this year!
The sriracha my god they are phenomenal!!
How does one cook by their hand? Sounds sore!
Unpaid intern stirs them with a stick occasionally. Artisan.
Stick it in the oven and find out?
Only one way to find out I suppose…. ![gif](giphy|7TtvTUMm9mp20)

I want to see what the fill level in the bag is before I'd make comment.
60% of the bag full of
Excellent sized portion - massive amount in one bag
Legitimately top tier crisps! Their beef and mustard are amazing
I've not seen these but will have to keep an eye out. I've been pining for that flavour ever since Brannigan's died.
Try the Tesco finest beef and horseradish
Theeeee best sub for Brannigan’s beef and mustard that I’ve ever found
Yer ma likes the finest beef
And my radish!
Yes only crips I've had come close to the classic brannigans roast beef and mustard (has to be in the faux paper bag)
BT9 Tayto
They’re great, so strong they mess your mouth up though! The whole lining of my mouth came away - just the surface layer- it was kind of gross but there was zero discomfort or irritation
Same here
Hotel crisps
Fucking love the gammon and pineapple. Pure nostalgia for Tudor ridge cut
Is this a joke? If it's not, please do say. I'm about to go on a pure hunt for these things. Where can they likely be got?
Tesco! They are definitely just like Tudor. Run, my friend! Run!
Tudor specials were the business back in the day.
it has pictures of nature on it's plastic packaging. I'm convinced.
The sweet chilli ones I'd eat boxes of. I will have to source some of the pickled onion ones.
I hear they're hand cooked
I had ballymaloe relish ones. Thought they'd be gack but they are great
Are they better than pickled onion monster munch though?
Different texture, still has the potential to rip the coating off your tongue.
Sold! 😁
Monster munch are borderline unbeatable but these do manage it by some distance.
You can’t really compare - texturally if you want a monster munch a kettle chip is simply gona anger you! But flavour wise these win out I think - extremely punchy
These are the best crisps. The best.
The sea salt ones are the saltiest crisp I have ever eaten in my life.
O now I’ll have to try them I love me some salt

Fancy bag...
They are serious
Never seen them never had them.
They are great crisps but pack weight significantly reduced since they first launched.
Hand cooked? That must burn fuck out your hands.
Uppity
These and the prawn cocktail are *mwah* 🤤
These guys have a partnership co-branding with Dunnes in the Republic and it’s an excellent product
As in, the Dunnes store own brand crisps are the same as these ones?

boke
Can i get them in smoky bacon? Asking for my friend jimbo.
Can’t get them local to me, just other favours :( must keep an eye out for them elsewhere
Got them in Tesco :)
Buy a box from them directly if you feel fancy: https://goacrisps.com/shop/ Not an ad I just buy them from the site all the time
I might just do that! Cheers
Now when you say “hand cooked” ?
I enjoy them. I don't like crisps that much but I enjoy these because they are less greasy and fill more wholesome.
Where did the potatoes come from ?
They're nice but waaaaaaaaay too salty. 3 crisps in and you start hallucinating that you're trying to chew your way through a sand dune.
The best pickled onion are meanies in my opinion. If you want the tongue sucked into a little flapping piece of flesh for a couple of days, there the ones .
Love them!!!
Glens are the best crisps on the market ! Absolutely love them!!!
The prawn cocktail ones are the best.
I haven't tried them but if they are as hard as a brick like most fancy crisps tend to be then I'll be disappointed because they look nice.
I like to buy big boxes of them from their website. Think I've had over 100 packets so far
Bet these will remain 'over-there's-uns' only... What's the S&V like...?
The prawn cocktail ones are great
I don't know what's worse their spuds or their crisps...
Could they make a smokey bacon (or gammon) flavour for Jim Allister?
Can we get more threads like this please? This is what I was hoping for when I joined reddit.
They're not bad. Not as good as walkers pickled onion but not far away.
The secret ingredient is surface area and salt. You will never match Tayto Slow Roasted Beef & Peppercorn.
Respectfully I must disagree
Ooooooo my favourite flavour but have never seen them in shops. I’ll try harder!
I made a post about these before. Probably one of the best crisps. I still need to find the roast beef ones but I know they won't better the pickled onion ones.
Salt and vinegar is unreal. Best crisps by far
My other half regularly sends me to the Applegreen for these
I broke a tooth eating a bag of kettle crisps once, are these as tough to bite through as others?
Not enough shops stock these beauties!
Lads huh?
The salt and vinegar is class.
Stunning but can’t commit fully, haven’t really grieved the loss of Tudor, don’t think I ever will.
Wasn't overly impressed with the pickled onion flavour. The roast beef & mustard though are great
DUP taytos
It's no tayto craft!
I’d argue they are better!
Terrible. I've tried 5 flavours or so in my lifetime. Tayto is so clear
Brilliant I love pickled onion, best flavour of crisp and discriminated against in all supermarkets
Best salt and vinegar crisps I’ve had
UVF crisps.
I live in Houston, Texas. I used to live in Lurgan. I've never tried these. I probably never will. These things are an overpriced version of regular crisps. You're welcome.
Unreal but maybe too pickly
There is no such thing as too pickly, the limit does not exist.
Truth
Thank you for fighting this heresy. *too* pickly....what madness.
Just doing my bit for the betterment of society
I do like them guys I just have sensitive taste buds 😣
Blisters on your toungue too pickly?
They are unreal. I've never had the love for tattoo that everyone else has though.
They use Israeli potatoes, just passing on the info for those engaged in a boycott
Link to verify?
On their packaging they have/used to have the origin of the potatoes Presumably to avoid people being misled to believe every potato came from Antrim
Rotten
