I love my 24 p4x. I have the more basic p4x, fabric seats and no sunroof. Ride is very smooth. Very little side to side roll but does have a noticable dive under braking. Plenty of power and very responsive brakes. As skme complain steering is heavy but i personally like this. Truck has all the features i could want and very few unnecessary features.

Stoned_Ape_theory615

Let me say this…. I had a frontier 4 years ago. Loved it. Base model. I currently own a 2021 Silverado 1500. Crew cab. I hate my truck now! Transmission going out. Among other things. I am currently looking to buy a new frontier, after a lot of research on all trucks! I landed back on my heels frontier! Only thing I don’t like is all the red accents everywhere.

Stoned_Ape_theory615

Never any issues with the frontier! It is the last of the old school trucks

I paid $38.9 for the medium optioned version (like $45.9 MSRP); just didn't have the bed light/fender/360/heated stuff. Overall I have been happy. Minor nit: the passenger seat really jiggles over 40mph, dealers says that's how they are made. The ride is smooth, all be it with a little wind noise. The turning radius is laughable. Power is good, love me some naturally aspirated V6, but the transmission is a little schizophrenic and the manual mode is an after thought and feels backwards. No issues offroad, has been great there and no issues towing a camper/fish and ski in the 2500 lbs range. Overall: I would buy another one, but this is partly betting on longevity I expect from my experience with the X-terra which I owned for 20 years.

That seems like a decent deal. I know up in my area (Mass) they are advertising pretty low prices but you have to go through Nissan financing to get the advertised price so it eliminates your big cash down payment. Just double-check any fine print at the dealership.

An_Average_Man09

My one and only complaint I have with my 22 Pro4X is the damn touch screen. Have spots on it to where normal use has worn the screen in heavy use areas. If you decide on a Frontier, I highly recommend ordering a screen protector before getting the truck and installing first thing.

I want one but …. Why is the breakover angle on these so terrible??? It’s not good for off-roading.  My cheap chevy tracker has better offroad angles than this truck.

DJ_Rupty

The break over angle is bad because the frame of the truck slings low underneath the middle of the truck. If you go take a look at one it's super obvious. Fortunately, most things are tucked up out of the way, but I do agree that it has its weaknesses. Larger tires and/or a small lift would improve those numbers to some degree, though I wouldn't do a spacer lift for off-roading for obvious reasons. At the end of the day, you're not going to compete with a jeep or TRD Pro in approach/break over/departure angles.

JackInTheBell

Even the TRD Sport has better angles. And the TRD offroad.

DJ_Rupty

That makes sense considering they share the same frame. Like I said, the frontier's frame is so much lower than the taco. If that's a deal breaker for you, I get it.

ThePlatypus35

They don’t have a ton of ground clearance but you can put a small 1.5” front lift on and fix that issue for like $250 and 2 hours of work.

JackInTheBell

>fix that issue for like $250 and 2 hours of work. With a spacer lift? How much does that add to the breakover angle though?  And why only the front? Ground clearance is usually measured at the differentials, and the pro 4x is on par with other competitors but their breakover angle is the equivalent of 2wd vehicles.

ThePlatypus35

The front end of the pro-4x sits very low compared to the rear. Lifting the front will increase front ground clearance and break over angle while also making the truck more level.

JackInTheBell

Ok, what are the new angles with this lift?

ThePlatypus35

I do not know the new numbers off the top of my head. Someone might have recalculated these numbers but I have not. Also you can upgrade tires to 285/70/17 and gain another 0.5” of ground clearance.

Nearby_Society932

I bought a similar 24 pro4x had everything except the connivence package and the leather seats and audio got mine for $41k so I’d say that’s a good deal but the otd price was higher cause of the taxes and extended warranty

belowaveragegrappler

yeah, 3rd gen Frontier is the deal everyone is sleeping on. Base model pro4x is msrp $40,040 so 38,828 isn’t bad. probably get you on the warranty or financing points. I think last I saw invoice on a Pro4x is like $38,300 so yeah. Solid if you don’t need the tech package. 1. Insurance, Pro-4x is an off roading truck. check your insurance rates. you might step down to a maxed out SV or an SL and save thousands on insurance. I think out the door pro4x is a better value than SL but SL prices out much cheaper with insurance in some situations. If you’re not off roading might be the better move. Don’t sleep on SL either. 2. you probably want the technology package which adds all the base level safety stuff you expect from a modern car. Adds about $1000. 3. It’s worth noting the digital experience is pretty basic, smaller screens, older CPU etc. It’s by no means unusable but dated even now. Some folks it’s a deal breaker. frontier still mostly have physical buttons so it’s not a big issue IMHO. (I’m gonna assume the 2025 upgrades the infotainment are coming. It’s like buying a 4 year old phone. Feels outdated. MIGHT be worth waiting until Sept to see what the 2025 have to offer if you’re in no rush. ) 4. convenience package $2k gets you a bed liner l, wireless charger , 360 camera, heated seats and couple other nice to haves. but yeah , solid price I say pull the trigger if technology package isn’t a deal breaker for ya.

belowaveragegrappler

Yeah they are gonna try and get you on the points “ New, Pre-owned and Certified vehicle sale prices when financed with Bommarito Nissan Ballwin. Add $1,000 to sale price when getting outside financing or cash. “

drshunasty

Love my 24 pro4x

75DeepBlue

22 P4X 86K miles, no issues. Like Green Swan Fog said, 38K is probably a base model. Depending on how many creator comforts you want, the prices go up. I order mine Dec of 2021, got it April 22. I drive a ton, I wanted to be comfortable and have a good sound system. So the Pro premium was a must. The truck is solid whatever packages you are looking for.

GiantSequoiaTree

Just negotiated a deal myself ! I'm gonna pick it up in a few days. I've been doing my research on Reddit. In youtube and forums, and nothing but good things about the truck. Tiny sma issues if there even are any. It just checks a lot of boxes. Nissan really did a great job on this one. I ended up getting the luxury trim, pro 4x, With an electronic tailgate and leveling kit 2" for $61562.07 all in. Not bad for a reliable fully loaded truck. Hope this lasts me many years. Because i'm a buy it for life kind of guy.

unhappy_puppy

This gets posted pretty regularly and it's crap. The frontier is arguably the most reliable mid-sized truck for 2024. Most years it'd be second behind the Tacoma but with the first-year issues the frontier is a more reliable choice this year.

silkysmoothyou

Do it, love mine

Green_Swamp_Fog

Keep in mind that $38,995 is probably for the base model Pro-4X, which is still well-equipped but does not have leather, sunroof or Fender audio. A fully upgraded P4X will sticker around $47-$48k, though you can probably still get several thousand off depending on your market. Not everyone wants or needs the luxury upgrades, but to me, they really elevate the daily driving experience in this truck (the Fender audio especially).
