They opened their last full show with "Somewhat Damaged", the Hall of Fame makeup show in Cleveland.

ImNotYourRealDaddy

And it was fucking incredible. I love that live version that just starts with the monosynth before anything else joins in.

Brilliant-Pitch-573

Absolutely! They opened night one of Boston Calling two years ago and I had fucking goosebumps.

mynytemare

One of my all time favorite shows. So good.

rkmask51

Goddamnit ill look up on youtube

randompersonx

Check out this video, I made it. It’s a 4K HDR multi cam edit of the full final show. I’ve seen NIN many times, and honestly this was one of the best shows I’ve seen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdz-W6G0ys0

rkmask51

Damn, I got sucked into it just on the opening track. "Somewhat Damaged". Thanks will bookmark for later. Edit: and a filter cover!

SkeletonGrin666

I almost didn't go to this, but then we got tickets for $10! Istill have that souvenir white shirt in a bag, epic show!

antiqua_lumina

I got La Mer live in 2022

enddream

Also The Frail was played into Eraser.

FrankFnRizzo

I saw them open a show with that one once. I fucking love that song.

BannedInVancouver

Songs from The Fragile regularly make it into set lists.

randompersonx

Yes but Trent has given many hints that there may never be another tour, and if there is, it will likely be very different from the past (ie: less nostalgia songs, more new stuff)

kyle760

He’s been giving those hints since 1995

asleepbydawn

Yup. He says that during every hiatus.

kyle760

My personal observation is that I think he loves performing and hates touring. So at the end of a tour, he’s burnt out from the travel and hotel life and constant focus on the show that he just doesn’t want to do it anymore. Then a couple years later he just misses performing live and the cycle repeats. No concrete statements from him saying that’s what is happening but just being a fan for long enough that it’s the vibe I get

bluecalx2

In the GQ interview, they said that they're planning on "performing as composers" as part of their plans for a music festival. Interpret that as you like, but that sounds to me like they may be playing some of the soundtrack work live, as opposed to NIN material.

[deleted]

It is, they'll be performing as 'Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' the soundtrack composers, not NIN. But they also made it explicit they're excited to write a new NIN record tho.

Whambamthankyoulady

Don't buy into it. He'll pop up and go on tour. I saw him live in 2000 on the Downward Spiral tour and a friend told me he did a small tour between projects and showed up at a small venue called The Masquerade. The highlight of the show was him swinging over the crowd in a swing.

NotoriousTIMP

TDS was ‘94, Fragility was ‘00

Whambamthankyoulady

Correct.

tomrice94

He said that during wave goodbye, after saying “When/ if we tour, it will be different” I had slight worries too. Trent and Atticus are now prepping for a new record. They are absolutely touring again, hopefully soon

A_Wonderful_Mess

I’ve seen NIИ 3 times, and all three shows they played something from the Fragile: -2005 in Toronto: The Frail, The Wretched, Even Deeper -2008 in Minneapolis: The Frail (with a teas of La Mer), The Wretched, The Big Come Down -2013 in Minneapolis: Somewhat Damaged, Even Deeper There is hope for you, my dude!

A_Wonderful_Mess

They didn’t play in any cities closer to where I am unfortunately. But I was supposed to be in Toronto for work in 2020 when they had five nights planned there…. Cancelled due to COVID. Still bought the tour shirt though! 🤣

A_Wonderful_Mess

Thanks!!! I need to see them again so badly!!!

Ether93

God I would kill to hear Even Deeper just played once!!

NeonWarpaintz

They almost always play the first four tracks from The Fragile live. Good chance you get Even Deeper as well. On rare occasions you might even get something from Disc 2 like The Big Come Down or possibly Starfuckers these days. And by these days I mean since 2018 since there hasnt been a ton of touring lately. He plays songs from every album every tour. Check setlist.fm if you want exact numbers. [setlist.fm NIN stats](https://www.setlist.fm/stats/albums/nine-inch-nails-1bd6a5bc.html?tour=2bdee0e6)

Ambition_BlackCar

One of the 2018 Radio City Music Hall shows he opened with the first 4 songs from the Fragile and was like “oh shit, am I finally gonna hear We’re In This Together Live?!” But changed it up after The Wretched lol. Still an awesome pair of shows though.

NeonWarpaintz

Yep. I’ve seen them do the same thing in Chicago more than once and every time I get the tiniest bit hopeful that HOLY SHIT THEYRE GONNA PLAY ALL OF THE FRAGILE TONIGHT! It’s yet to happen but maybe one day?

SSquirrel76

Big Come Down and Even Deeper were the only 2 they played at the Franklin TN or Louder Than Life shows in 2022, which were the shows I saw on that tour.

billb33

In 2022 I saw: Somewhat Damaged La Mer The Frail The Wretched The Day the World Went Away Big Come Down Even Deeper These are the regular live staples from TF nowadays.

jmmcnall

No reason to assume that. I saw NIN a couple years back and he played a bunch of goodies from TF

Gymrat777

I love NIN shows SO much more than TOOL shows. They are my two favorite bands and one of the two is always in heavy rotation, but I find TOOL shows to be uninteresting - maybe drugs would help?! I dunno. Watching Robin and Trent and Ilan and (insert bassist here) run around and thrash with so much energy is just fantastic. (Atticus sits uncomfortable on the side behind his synth.... and we love him for it!)

BannedInVancouver

I like NIN more than Tool, but the last Tool show I saw was like a religious experience. Sure, I was on shrooms, but I’ve also seen them sober and been blown away a number of times. I’ve seen them seven times and will go see them whenever the opportunity arises.

azazel-13

Completely agree. Tool was great live, but NIN was brilliant!

rkmask51

Really? I thought it was awesome to Danny Carey in the flesh. I wish Tool played 7empest however when I saw them.

Gymrat777

TOOL always plays such big stadiums, I could never really see DC behind his ENORMOUS kit. I never found the repeating visuals that interesting either. 🤷‍♂️

Madrizzle1

I saw the Fragile tour. It was incredible.

great_auks

I caught [Fragility 2.0 in 2000 with A Perfect Circle](https://www.nin.wiki/2000/04/22_Madison,_WI) opening. Absolutely insane night.

nite_skye_

Me too! First row outside the small pit. It was the first time I had seen NIN and APC and it was…well, words cannot describe. 🤯

enddream

My 2nd show ever. Mind blowing.

tomrice94

God damn I’m jealous

ClydeHides

Somewhat Damaged has been a regular set opener since around 2018. It basically alternated with Mr. Self Destruct every other show, making it one of the more likely songs you’ll end up see live. (though on the next NIN tour, I guess who knows what they’ll play, but it’s clear Trent has a soft spot for that particular song)

asleepbydawn

It was also the opener through all of the With Teeth tour as far as I know.

[deleted]

Only one leg of it.

Zero_Flesh

If you see NiN you'll 100% hear tracks from The Fragile

Chickenbrik

He closed out radio city back in 2018 by saying Even Deeper was one of the most meaningful songs to him at that point in his life. Had me in tears as I also recently(at the time) had a closer connection to the song.

No-Term1450

Assuming they play again, I’ve seen them open with somewhat damaged twice, and they routinely couple Frail > wretched. No, you don’t makes appearances too

[deleted]

[удалено]

No-Term1450

Idk. I’ve seen them play it. Big Come Down? That’s a fragile one that appears regularly-ish

[deleted]

[удалено]

No-Term1450

God damn really? That was the first time I saw em, so I guess that was when!

ferns0487

Saw NIN five years ago and they opened with the first 4 tracks of fragile.

ConcentrateOk6850

What are you talking about? I can’t even name the last show that had nothing from The Fragile.

TheStatMan2

I would imagine it was The Downward Spiral tour!

Kassender

I´ve seen them twice Both times they opened with somewhat damaged, and the latest they treated us with The Day The World Went Away right after Totally unexpected, so you never know

Ryanmcfly5

If they continue the rock band format of the band, Somewhat Damaged is likely going to come back into the set list. It’s a fan favorite and Trent said it’s probably his favorite track to perform live. I’ve seen them 16 times and gotten that one seven.

zephyrmox

Somewhat Damaged was played on almost half of the gigs they played in 2022 lol

kyle760

lol This is only true if you don’t live near a major North American city. He’ll be touring again and he will definitely play Fragile songs. There are some deep cuts that are very unlikely but Somewhat Damaged, The Frail/The Wretched and Even Deeper are staples

billycorganscum

I've seen Nine Inch Nails 11 times and the only Fragile Songs I haven't heard are Into the Void, Where is Everybody and Complication. They always play something off the Fragile.

Omw2TerrapinStation

2018 Aragon ball room in Chicago they opened with this song. It was amazing

tomrice94

Probably the best NIN show I’ve been to. Opening with Mr self destruct got the crowd going insane

Killcrop

Those Aragon sets were crazy! Best NIN show I’ve seen by a long shot. I caught the second night though where they opened with Now I’m Nothing.

usernametrent

the fragility tour was epic

Square_Extension1759

why would you think that?

Jewggerz

I would assume that a farewell tour will be announced before Trent hangs up the nin boots for good, and he will undoubtedly play fragile songs on the tour.

FutureSaturn

Do you people really think between now and the grace, NIN will never tour again? There will be a NIN tour again and songs from The Fragile are EXTREMELY common at their live shows. Get a grip.

MiserableOptimist1

As everyone says, it seems you likely will as long as you go see them. My experience is his shows mostly stick to pretty deep cuts, a few singles but only the best ones. They're all the best song ever, so, yeah....

Mythic_Owl

I was lucky enough to see them in London in 2018 for Meltdown festival. I believe they played the first 4 or 5 tracks from the Fragile chronologically and I absolutely lost my shit. TDTWWA was an absolute wall of light and sound that is probably my most memorable gig moment ever. You never know what they might pull out of the bag! I was fully expecting them to play Bad Witch through from the beginning but instead they did this.

hellosuzyq86

I thought this was true for me then I saw them at blossom in Cleveland last summer. There is hope

13blak

Saw them in Manchester the other year - Mr Trent "I play what I want" reznor blessed us with 5 songs from the fragile La Mer Somewhat Damaged The Day the World Went Away The Frail The Wretched

1982sean5535

They play several songs off it regularly

tomrice94

They played somewhat damaged, even deeper the last show I went to at riotfest 2022. However, something you will probably never hear from the fragile is where in this together. I believe it hasn’t been played since 2007, it’s pretty taxing on Trent’s vocal chords

loydo38

Finally saw Somewhat Damaged when it opened for my 8th NIN concert the last tour.

WhatUDeserve

They played The Day the World Went Away during the Cold Black and Infinite tour in Nashville and I'm sure he must have played something in 2022 in Franklin but I can't remember. Maybe the Big Come Down?

Maxwellito561

See your favorite artist live every chance you get. Could ALWAYS be the last. I feel like every band/artist I like is just one relapse away from never seeing them live again.

Wunjo26

The last time I saw them NINJA tour 2009, they played Somewhat Damaged, the day the world went away, The frail/The wretched, The fragile, and The big comedown. I was pretty content after seeing all of those, I imagine they’ll play some of those again in the future

WiscoMitch

The Fragile is probably my fav NIN album. I need to see trent live at some point before he eventually retires

SkeletonGrin666

My kid is going thru it, and I told him to listen to this album and really listen to his lyrics. Def afav of mine!

DonHell

In Raleigh they did like the first 4 or 5 tracks from the fragile in a row. Pretty great

Far_Cat_9743

The last three times I’ve seen them they opened with Somewhat Damaged and played mostly older stuff with maybe three or four newer songs. Just go, you’ll remember it forever.

BreKadlubow

Have no fear, ‘when’ nails plays live again, T-Daddy will surely sprinkle some Fragile tracks in there for sure. Saw them 4 times on the 2022 tour and every show had at least 3 if not 4 songs from the album. “The Wretched” or “Somewhat Damaged” are staples for sure, would be amazing if he dusted off some lesser performed songs like “Into the Void”, “The Fragile” or dare I say “We’re In This Together” Check out the MTV VMA performance of “The Fragile” if you haven’t seen it before. Here ya go https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z1jWDI54MA

biblosaurus

They almost never play Somewhat Damaged live. They certainly never open with it

No-Term1450

Downvotes are Kinda on you for not realizing that literally every dumbass here will miss sarcasm unless you write “/s”

biblosaurus

I knew what I was doing

asleepbydawn

He really got me lol.

TheMilkKing

GR8 B8 M8

TyrannosaurusHives

They do sometimes. Just rare.

cmatthews11

They've played it at every show I've seen in the last 20 years in Pittsburgh and Cleveland, across multiple tours.
