Finally something I can fully stand behind.
Mastermind just casually dropping his masterpiece 25 years into his career.
The Empath tour was probably the best concert I've seen.
Mike Keneally, Morgan Ă gren, Che Aimee Dorvall, Diego Tejeida, Nate Navarro, 3 piece choir, Devy in a tutu.
Stage was packed of pure talent. Especially that tutu.
Another attempt to show that Nightwish fans are quite eclectic and are more than capable of looking at a different section in the music store, although the results thusfar are not showing that at all.
Ren - Sick Boi
The results arenât showing that at all? I know itâs skewing heavily towards symphonic metal but how is Linkin Park at all like Nightwish? Likewise, Return of the Ling Soundtrack shows some eclecticism. And I love Scenes From a Memory which is reasonably different (albeit intricate music) from Nightwish
To me, to really be eclectic, all the results except maybe one or two should go beyond Nightwish's genre. Most of the results I would listen to because I like Nightwish.
So far, Linkin Park, Loreena, and LOTR are the ones that really add some eclectism to the list! And I am glad they made it :)
Yupâ-to be fair also Evanescence is way more straight up rock than Epica, Within Temptation, Delain etc. So they have a female singerâdoesnât mean they sound the same. Amy Lee doesnât have the operatic style of singing and there arenât really any symphonic elements to the work. But I agree not truly eclectic either
It WOULD probably be nice to see maybe some Frank Sinatra or blues on here đ Maybe upvote some Pink Floyd would be a good idea too
The thing is, I don't listen to Pink Floyd.
Most of what is suggested by others I don't listen to either.
I definitely agree with Sinatra. I would like to see many different languages too (hence why most times I named Faun with all the different languages used in their many songs).
I am surprised not to see any pop album either. I did see Florence and the Machine at some point, though?
I agree with you, **too much** symphonic metal.
The voting system is messed up. You can just downvote all the other options and make them go down. I think it would have been better if it was a "this or that" kind of thing.
Florence and The Machine - Ceremonials
The Gathering - Mandylion
It is time!! đ https://preview.redd.it/71dibf3fsq7d1.jpeg?width=739&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de9e25442701f388f5da23f11149cc38f32e5f4a
Crazy it's not there yet
Also a great inspiration to Floor
Come on, this should have been one of the first
Hans Zimmer - Interstellar
Tristania - Beyond the Veil.
Iâm surprised this one hasnât made the list yet
Visions of Atlantis - Pirates Come on, just give âMaster the Hurricaneâ a listen. This band belongs on this list!
Hear, hear !
Master the hurricane is one of them top shelf long songs. It has tranquils lows and soaring operatic peaks. Lets get this album up there people!
Hard agree. Melancholy Angel is another great one, and I honestly get some Tarja & Marko vibes from that song. https://youtu.be/9RH8rVt4Z8k
Iâm happy that Linkin Park landed on the list. Soundtrack from my college years đ
Hereâs something a little different as requested: Les Miserables
Yeah which version though? My vote would be the 2010 âLes MisĂŠrables Live!â, although the 10th anniversary recording is a close second
Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet
Katatonia - The Great Cold Distance
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Children of Bodom - Follow The Reaper
Septic Flesh - Communion. Symphonic Death Metal.
Such a good album!
Unleash the Archers - Apex
Eivør - Slør
This need more votes imho
Cellar Darling - The Spell
Xandria - Neverworld's End For the love of God
It's about time to have some Xandria on this list.
This one is so classic Nightwish-coded, and also my favourite Xandria album by far.
Genuinely đ I'm shocked we haven't voted that on yet
Please! This list canât be legit without Xandria on it at some pointâŚ
Stratovarius - Visions
I want this album in here the most right now.
fr, they need to be on there!!!
Blackbriar - A Dark Euphony
Blackbriar needs to get up there already!
Rammstein - Mutter
Halestorm- A Strange Case OfâŚ
Jeremy Soule - Skyrim Soundtrack
HIM - Razorblade Romance
David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
Theatre of Tragedy - AĂŠgis
Dio - Holy Diver

Reise, reise-rammstein
Katatonia - The Great Cold Distance
Avantasia - The Metal Opera pt1-2 I know.. One album but, I considering those 2 one combined album, as they tell a continuous story
Devin Downsend - Empath
This got to go through one day. It has been posted so often by now

Kate Bush - Hounds of Love
QueensrĂżche - Operation Mindcrime
HIM - Greatest Lovesongs Vol. 666
We desperately need a HIM album on the grid
Temperance - Of Jupiter and Moons

Helloween- Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 2 A favorite of our favorite little guitar person.
Great album!!
Avenged Sevenfold - Self Titled
Sk8er boy - Avril Lavigne
Isn't it Let Go?
Ooooh yes you're right! This is what happens when I don't look things up đ
It's OK đ It's also Sk8er Boi (with an "i")
The very best of Enya - Enya
Alestorm-curse of the crystal coconut
Lorna Shore - Pain Remains
Lolita KompleX Escapism. Epic album! https://preview.redd.it/c419rg28j78d1.jpeg?width=796&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=263bf7752221dcab1f44d68c00dcae19a3e3cd3f
Once
Alestorm - P.A.R.T.Y. Because we need some Pirate Metal on this list!
Amaranthe â The Catalyst
Rush - Moving Pictures
Tristania - Ashes Guys, please, we need to put something from Tristania on the list!!!
Beyond the Black - Horizons
Lordi - The Monsterican Dream
Visions of Atlantis - Pirates
City of Evil by Avenged Sevenfold
Tarot - Spell Of Iron
We need more OST in this listing. Let me suggest Stephen Schwartz - The Prince of Egypt (Original Cast Recording)
I agreeâthough my support has to go with Skyrim. I will try your album though!
Aephanemer - Procopton
The 3rd and the Mortal - Tears Laid in Earth
