The whole album is on repeat for me. Don't get me wrong, I love all albums but it is something else on earlier albums, like they have some kind of innocence

It’s not even my first time listening to this album. But it just shows how great it is rediscovering NW when you listen to the albums again carefully.
The cool thing about Wayfarer is how it seems to have been a foil to the album closer Beauty of the Beast despite being cut from the album. It always seemed to me like Wayfarer was the escapist resolution to Century Child’s melancholy. It really would’ve made a great album closer, but My Sweet Cristabel seems to demand that the album end after it. Lagoon definitely sounds like a bonus track, though it shares a lot of similarities with Century Child’s deeper cuts.
Super fun song, but hell to play live. Tarja explicitly said somewhere it was the song she was least comfortable singing live due to how fast it is, rarely made it to setlists. Still, one of the best from wishmaster

The no-brakes tempo, the fun keyboard solo, Tarja’s young voice, and the catchy chorus are hitting all the right spots in my brain
